The following may help you to become a successful Team Leader:

Act-
Which means you must act as a Team Leader don’t think of yourself, think about the success of the whole team. You’ll need knowledge to answer questions from the members of your team. If you are new and you feel you don’t have enough knowledge to answer their questions then acts as a bridge to the unpline team leaders between your team. They will surely help you. Or you may also direct them to the support, ASK SC, and Forum, but remember you must have at least 100 forum badge.

Lead-
You must lead; do what you are supposed to do as leader. Don’t just tell them what they must do when in yourself you have hard time to do it what you want them to do. When it comes to badges be an example to them. Give them chance to contact you and share to you what their thoughts so that your team can create great strategy to succeed.

Motivate-
Motivate them always. You may set a contest for your team or a different motivation idea depending on what you have. You know what I mean…


Achieve-
When you set goals for the team, let all the members be a partner and achieve it with their help.


Reward-
Always remember that you are a leader, although you have your own personal goals in your business. But you have a team to lead, and remember that you can’t achieve those goals without them. So let all the members have the merits, reward them equally.

Duplication-
Lastly don’t forget duplication, let them duplicate you. I presume that all of us here know already how to do it. If not then read again SFI Rules of Success.

This is an excellent question and I can tell you want is expected of a team leader because I am one and have be for years.

1. Team leaders are expected to empathize with their network. This means that when an affiliate writes to you asking for assistance that you remember what it was like when you were coming up through the ranks. Never forget where you come from and always try to take as many along with you all the way to the top.

3. Team leaders are the best affiliates. It is because they have persevered and by hard work and dedication are they team leaders. They can mentor and guide others by their excellent example. So you should be able to lead and support. If you don't want to support others then being a team leader is not right for you. It is not a place for vain glory nor should their advice be lightly esteemed.

4. Never exploit your affiliates. While some may feel this is the case with team leaders. Remember you succeed when they succeed so it should not be too much for you to support them with the information that you have free of charge. While other services and tools do cost money minimize the expense for your team.

5. Never reward apathy. Good leaders know when you are pulling their chain. So don't do it. You will not get help. If you want help help yourself as much as you can and they will see this and be willing to do what they can. Don't give your network the impression that you will reward them for everything they achieve. They should know and understand that the fruits of success are enough. Teach them in such a way that they understand that there is a price to pay to be on top.

Becoming a leader, means being committed to your affiliates. Set the example of the kind of leader that you want to be.

Do what you say you will do. If you are running a contest, make sure that you give the prize as soon as you know who has won. Be a person of integrity.

Do what is right, even if it means a cost to you. Being this way will always come back to you and in ways you won't even expect.

Don't be afraid to go upline with questions and let your team know this as well because you won't have all the answers and this sets the tone for your team to come to you with questions. This also edifies your upline and gives respect.

Treat your affiliates the way you want to be treated, like a friend and equal. Your affiliates may have ideas and thoughts that you don't and possibly these can be implemented if they comply with SFI rules.

Be yourself. If you pretend to be something you are not, it will become apparent; if not right away, but sometime down the road.

Forgive yourself for the mistakes you make and move on. You are human and so is everyone else. This also makes it easier to forgive others and live in harmony.

Have a good attitude, have fun, and let your enthusiasm roll! It will be contagious and go downline. You will have an awesome team that wants to be with you and work with you.

Hello Evrad,

I think you mean an EA, when you say “besides the requirement to qualify”. Yes, after the first month you can become qualified as an EA. But the real change starts at the beginning of second month. But by then are awarded by rating your sponsor with 10 VPs and 2 CSAs.

1. Try your best to contact with them by email, phone or Instant Message & send the Welcome Message as suggested by SFI in the profile page of the CSA.

2. Tell them about E365 Entrepreneur awards. Let them read the complete info & rules given at: https://www.sfimg.com/E365?tab=info_and_rules

3. Tell the importance of becoming an EA2 by purchasing a Standing order from any TripleClicks product and securing 1500 VPs each month. List of Standing Orders is given here: https://www.sfimg.com/Reference/StandingOrders

4. Remember, you need to log in daily and complete your daily, weekly and monthly tasks as a leader. Take part in Daily Grands as frequently as possible in a day.

5. Send a weekly news letter to your PSAs/CSAs giving them useful tips on SFI Business.

6. Take part in Ask SC program & let your CSAs/PSAs do the same. Let them follow your path of success. This is better termed as “Duplication”. Remember, your success depends upon their success.

7. Recommend them useful products from TripleClicks. Also help support and guide them on all issues brought to you by your PSAs/CSAs.

8. Advertise your SFI business on Traffic exchanges, safe lists, Social Media, Free/paid advertising websites & let your downline know about it.

9. Maintain your leadership page. Keep your blog up-to-date. Award your movers. Pass on useful tips on “stream” tab.

10. Last but not the least “Lead by example” by scoring ahead of your entire team.

The expectations of becoming a team leader come from yourself. What sort of a leader do you want to be?

Do you want to be a positive, constructive, dynamic, creative and effective leader?

When you look at it, leadership looks so easy. Only you knows your skills and abilities.

"A leader is one who who guides and develops the activities of others, and seeks to provide continual training an direction."- Ted Engstrom.

So as a team leader in SFI, you provide guidance to your team, to give them direction when they seem lost in doing the daily tasks; support when they need it, and understanding, friendship and empathy. And most of all when you lead, you lead not necessarily in the front (for others will overtake you!), but walk behind them, and cause hem to take effective action.

In Bill Newman's book, "The Ten Laws of Leadership," it says simply: "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."

Qualifying as a team leader is just an entry criteria. What needs to happen after is not only important to you as a leader but its equally important, if not more, for the members who are a part of your team.Leading a team in SFI is not significantly different than leading a team in your office environment. Both require the same time,effort and empathy. The only difference is physical Vs virtual That also is undergoing a change as more and more leaders are managing business virtually.

First and foremost we are responsible for careers, aspirations of our team members. Then comes the following:

1. Empathy - Have empathy to the needs & aspirations of hte associates.
2. Knowledge - Try passing on experiences to enhance knowledge. Help them constantly upgrade their knowledge
3. Empower - Facilitate their ability to do tasks/to take decisions on their own.
4. Update - Provide them with knowledge of their business and also knowledge of the industry.
5. Belonging - Develop a sense of belonging by helping them morally,constantly motivating them developing a sense of belonging.
6. Enthuse - Come out with schemes, contests which can enthuse them to be more participative.

Most importantly we as leaders need to make ourselves redundant for the team. The reason why I am saying redundant is because redundancy comes out of equipping the team in full which means we would have done our job by passing all the knowledge we have acquired over a period of time.

To avoid disapointment, further educate yourself as a leader to become an awesome sponsor/leader.They say if you were educated yesterday, and don't read today ,you will be a fool tomorrow. The task of leadership is so crucial you can't afford to be foolish or keep making stupid mistakes. Its a position that needs more than trial and error.

There are situations where affiliates simply qualify by versapoints to leadership positions without studying to get prior knowledge they will need to lead a team or sponsor affilates effectively.This leads to their frustration when they become bombarded by questions from their PSAs and they have no clue what to say.Some try to rush to their own sponsors to bail them out but its not reliable for everyone since some sponsors may like literally dump you the day you join, and in such cases where do you go?Even if they dont dump you they may be having more work to do and honestly have no spare time everytime you ask them.

It is paramount for leaders to upgrade themselves on a daily basis through the Ask SC questions,SFI Forum and and other materials available at SFI to keep ahead, not that they should "know it all" but give the best possible help they can when needed.

A leader is expected to lead, you create a downline people; whom you will lead, noone gives us kids we bear them, so its a priority to build a downline,to teach them how to build theirs too.Learn how to sell or generate sales for SFI/TripleClicks online and teach them to do the same.It is important to meet these basic expectations and many more, if your business is going to work or grow.Hope this helps....

For some affiliates, team leader is just a title or a badge. For others, like myself, it is a leadership role, the chance to help others.

A true team leader has the following qualities:
*a reader - always reading more to learn more
*approachable - easy to ask questions and advice from
*communicative - in contact with team members offering advice and tips
*honesty - be truthful to yourself and your team
*confidence - be sure of yourself and your team members
*committed - lead by example, don't expect your team members to do things that you haven't done or aren't doing
*motivated - know ways to help excite your team to keep them moving when they get down, as well as your self when you have an off day or two.
*creative - be able to think outside of the box to help team members with different situations and problems
*be positive - nobody wants to work with someone who is negative. Think positively. Look for positive things out of bad things.
*patience - you may have to explain the same thing multiple times to the same people, or you will have inactive workers who keep asking for help. Stay calm.

I was one who had no clue what it would be like to be a team leader. But I embraced it and will admit to my team that I am still learning and will go ask for help from others if I need it. I am patient and love to answer questions from my team members and it makes me very happy when I see that they understood what I was saying.

1 - Set the example by what you can show that YOU have done already as a team leader. This is the major reason why SFI provides the Badge System.
