As you build your SFI and TripleClicks business you will learn that being in a “leadership” position is very important. The success of your business depends a lot on the structure and size (number of people) of your down-line teammates.

The easiest way for your teammates to know what to do is for you as their “leader” is to show them the path to take. This is done by you doing what you want your teammates to do.

In other words, you want your teammates to have a standing order for 1,500 VP (VersaPoints) then you have to have the badge that shows you have a standing order of 1,500 VP or higher. When your teammates see your leadership page they will see the SO badge which shows you have already done what you are asking them to do.

You only need to be “one step” ahead of your teammates to be their leader and if you are putting in the effort to build your home business with SFI and TripleClicks your badge display will tell them all they need to know.

Your badge display will not automatically get your teammates excited enough to try and acquire the same milestones that you have. You also need to explain to your teammates how to accomplish what you have.

Share with them the trials and errors you have committed and how you overcame them in your efforts to succeed. Your badges prove that you have “been there - done that” So your written/spoken instructions on how to accomplish the same things carries more weight with your teammates.

There are other activities that demonstrate to your teammates on how to lead by example. One of them is in re-assigning affiliates to your workers – If you are doing this your teammates will eventually follow.

Another way is to have “incentives” for your workers – give out Gift certificates or TCredits as rewards for accomplishing milestones in their business building activities.

Your actions is the key to leading by example – Don’t just “Talk the Talk” – but instead “Walk the Talk” - I would rather “see” a sermon than hear one.

never leave any stone unturned. Do what ever it takes with your workers & non-workers too, were needed.
Keep them on top of everything, advertising, any tips you have to offer, that you will have tested 1st.
Duplicate everything you do, especially the extra additions, you find that are good for team growth & expansion.

There be time when, the team member will not be into it! But as a leader show them that that will only push you & should push them even more too.

The best example you can give them is a page full of badges... starting with Gold Fast Track, Finalist/E365 Champion, at least 1500 VP SO, daily/all time VP streak, results of voting on askSC answers, as well as answering the questions, responses to Forum posts, and the extra activities - Eager Zebra Games, auctions...

When they see your badges, they will want to know how you got them. This is when you can really shine in their minds be explaining - based on questions asked - what you did to attain them, and what you continue to do to keep them. This is also the time to explain the value of doing these things, the reasons that keep you coming back every day!

Your badges will pique their curiosity, and hopefully prompt them to go do some more reading, learning, applying.

You can demonstrate your leadership qualities by maintaining regular - but not overwhelming - contact with them, providing helpful tips and suggestions each time. Also make sure they know they are welcome to contact you directly by whatever is your preferred method... chat, skype, email, etc.

Just do what you have been doing, or are learning to do, and tell your team regularly how you are doing it, and help them to duplicate your actions.

Lead by example' is a form of leadership in which the team you are leading learns by the examples you have set.

There are other forms of leadership, but at SFI it appears to be a good approach.

In choosing this method of leadership you must do, you must accomplish and you must achieve what you expect of the those you are leading.

Lead by example is not always practical, For example, if you not able to achieve a certain goal for yourself it could hurt you, as those you are leading may not achieve it either. Unforeseen circumstances may hinder your progress and therefore hinder those who you lead.

Fortunately there are many affiliates who do not rely on this type of leadership and go on to be a success without following your example. These are self-directed starters who AIM high and DREAM big; nothing gets in their way.

These are way to demonstrate this to your PSA's and CSA's:
-Become knowledgeable in all matters of SFI, this is a most important quality of a leader.
-Show them that you care
-Apply this knowledge to achieve the success you desire
-Follow the Rules of Success
-Do what you want your PSA's and CSA's to do.
-Do what would lead to their success
-Be supportive
-Share an special tips with them.

If circumstances are preventing you from achieving or accomplishing certain goals, be honest with them. Tell them the truth about your circumstances while showing them how important their success is to them.

Your leadership page would be the most effective way to do just that. When you tell your affiliates to play games they need to see that you are doing it - and they see that by going to your leadeship page and seeing all your badges.

You can not tell your affiliates to do something you are not doing. They see what you do and that you are successful and they follow your example.

If you log in once a week - can you tell your affiliates to log in every day? I think not.

I do not have a standing order because I can not afford it. Because of this I am honest with my affiliates. I tell them a standing order will make it easier, so if they can afford it they must do it. If it is not possible for them I advise them to make sales and various other things.

The PSA's you recruited from your circle of friends and family is easier to show and lead by example. The affiliates you recruited online is not near you and that means they have to see your example on line and your leadership page.

Hi Erica,

I think this is a great question and that you have the curiosity to ask it shows that you are most likely already leading by example for your PSAs and CSAs. My answer to your question though is this:

- Do everything for your PSAs and CSAs that you received or would have liked to receive when you first started. Help in every possible way and when you think you have helped enough, look for ways to help more. I realize that in the beginning it is a bit of hand holding but it is also about building trust.

- Communicate regularly and often. Again, this is establishing that you are constant and reliable.

- Watch your PSAs downline and offer suggestions on following up when you see that they have an active affiliate. This is teaching them to also be a great sponsor and allowing them support in doing their follow-ups. I have noticed that many of my PSAs initially are a little nervous to do their 1st follow-ups. With practice they become more confident and that is what we want to role model and encourage.

- Check in with your active PSAs to see if they have any questions and to make sure they are feeling supported. Do this forever. I also do special Team Mails to my Team Leaders with tips, reminders and encouragement.

I am sure I will think of more things as time goes by but these are my initial thoughts. I hope you find them helpful in some small way.

The badges are telling the story about you and your PSA and CSA will want to understand and to copy you.

-The SFI rank ( Bronze, Silver,...)is telling about your achieved VPs and the balance between Sales VP and Action VP.

-The year joined is telling how long you have been with SFI, about your experience here.

-E365 and Fast Track is telling if you was dedicated to this business from the beginning or later and if you made investments from the beginning ($20 for NMP) or not.

-Standing order is telling if you are consistently dedicated to stay as a Team Leader and also about your monthly investments in SFI business.

-Ask SC Top Author, SC Ratings and Likes is telling if you are active on Forum and involved in "Agora". It also communicate about how much time you invest in SFI.

-Daily Grand Winner is telling about your luck but also about your daily log in commitment.

-Top enroller is telling if you invest or not in getting more PSA and PRMs and how successful you are on this marketing activity.

-Top sponsor is telling if your affiliates appreciate you or not.

-Top seller is telling if you make money on SFI. I like it so much and see this badge earned by so few.

-Top VP/Month, overall Power Rank, Country Power rank is telling how good you are comparing with the other. It tells simply and clear about you rank.

Leading by example is a multi-faceted behavior of the highly successful motivators and business tycoons. They draw others to themselves by building consensus around they values, their objectives, and their agenda.

Leading by example is also the ability to inspire others the impulse to emulate.

As SFI leaders, we demonstrate our leadership qualities through the examples of our positive attitude, our thorough knowledge of the business, our daily actions in building our teams, the support we provide to our affiliates and our peers, and the contributions we make to the welfare of the SFI community..

When we act accordingly, our leadership will be seamless. We will have an impact around us, an impact which will draw others to act similarly. Our downline will feel the positive vibes coming from us and react to them to copy our behavior. Our peers will find inspiration through our examples and will want to be associated with us.

How do me demonstrate to our downline our leadership by example?

There are two important sides to successful leadership. On the one hand, moral values, and professional behavior; on the other hand, well thought and planned actions yielding positive results that can be duplicated by our team members. These two sides of leadership, reenforce each other.

The activity we display on a daily basis should speak for itself. It should be indicative of our moral values and professional behavior.

Our moral values should be of integrity and compassion based on our knowledge of the rules of success and the principles of sponsoring, its does and don'ts We should have utter commitment to our aims to achieve high as well as the success and welfare of our team members.

Our professional behavior is a translation of that commitment as shown by the actions we are taking to build our businesses, grow our teams.

Our efforts will have greater positive effects and influence if our team members are fully aware of what we are doing, how we are doing it and what results we are achieving. It is all a matter of effective communications. Using the appropriate tools to that effect (team mail, leadership page, stream posts, one-to-one messages and interactions) will keep the information and feedback flowing.

Our Leadership page should be updated frequently with reports of our activity, our results, motivational tips, calls to action in areas of advertising, sponsoring, contests, participation into the quarterly leadership challenges.

We can use our stream posts in motivating our team members to consult our leadership page to help them stay abreast with what we are doing and how successful we are

We should be highly responsive to our team members' needs of support as well as ready to assist our peers
