A. If you have active affiliates who are doing the daily "To-do-List", that is a good start.

Most of all us have experienced that only a handful of their Genealogy affiliates are logging on a regular basis and working their "to-do-list".

As you are rightly implying, this is below the basic minimum.

However that is far from being enough to launch successfully an SFI Business.

An SFI Affiliate who does just the "To-do-List" will soon realize how inadequate that is.
They will not even be able to accumulate the minimum 500 Points required to qualify for rating their sponsor and co-sponsor at the beginning of every month.

B. In fact, the basic minimum I recommend my affiliates for building a foundation of success with SFI is:

(a) having a standing order
(b) buying enough TCredits for the many activities and promotions SFI offers
(c) working their warm market to sponsor affiliates, as no or low costs
(d) using the free advertising avenues available such as writing a blog and joining the "Safelists, Text Exchanges, and other free advertising outlets available to them.

C. How to Motivates Affiliates to do more than the routine Basic SFI and the Minimum required to build a successful business?

First, we need to establish a clear, meaningful two-way communication. This will allow us to fully be aware of the interests our affiliates have. Some like games. Others like doing online research. A third group may enjoy writing. All those interests can be directed towards productive activity within SFI.

Second, we will be well advised to use those interests to motivate them.

The gamers can use Tripleclicks and Eager Zebra games to build their business while enjoying their hobbies.

The writers can spend time writing blogs and press releases as support for advertising and attracting their PSAs, thus building their teams

And so on.

The conclusion on personal interests is to use those hobbies to further their business building.

C. Organize Contests.

This tool is excellent to involve Affiliates onto activities that may help them be productive.
Set achievable goals for your affiliates and reward them for reaching those goals.

Hello. This is a very good question, because it's a very common problem, especially with the affiliates who have joined recently.

We are all here to earn money, it's a fact. New affiliates easily misunderstand the concept of the business in SFI and often think that it's all about clicking on tabs. What I try to explain to my downline is that doing their Daily, and also Weekly and Monthly tasks from their To-do list is necessary for their business, but it is not enough to earn money. Completing actions from To-do list is, in my opinion, an equivalent to going to your office every day, tiding up your desk, checking your mail, receiving important news, preparing your documents, etc. It's more of a preparation to work than a work itself.

Aside from my personal view, let's see what the numbers have to say:

1. Each affiliate has 12 Daily Actions on their To-do list, and 31 days (at best) in month. 12 VP x 31 = 372 VP.

2. Also, an affiliate can earn 38 VP per week and with 5 Sundays a month (at best), they can earn 38 VP x 5 = 190 VP per month.

3. One can also earn 15 more VP for completing Monthly actions.

So, for completing only the tasks from their To-do list an affiliate can earn 372 VP + 190 VP + 15 VP = 577 VP a month maximum. In order to start earning money by getting a share in TripleClicks Executive Pool, an affiliate has to have at least 1500 VP a month. To reach 1500 VP, an affiliate can either build a team of their own PSAs or generate sales from PRMs.

1. For sponsoring affiliates one can earn 100 VP for each EA2, 200 VP for each BTL, 300 VP for each STL, 400 VP for each GTL and 500 VP for each PTL monthly.

2. For generating sales an affiliate receives the amount of VP associated with each product bought by a PRM. A PRM (Personally Referred Member) is a person who became a TripleClicks member (but not an SFI affiliate) through your affiliate gateway.

For either building a team of affiliates or generating sales, or desirably both, each affiliate has to advertise. Marketing is what our job is all about. Actions from To-do list are just the basis for marketing. If we don't promote SFI and advertise products from Tripleclicks we earn no money. It is simple as that.

Money is a powerful motivator.

They can earn a few pennies a month doing the To-Do List task every day, but if they read something while here to train their mind they will soon be able to take actions that will grow their team and generate dollars where pennies had been. As they continue to grow and learn these dollars become hundreds and then thousands and their life gets better.

This business requires growth and dedication. You can not come in and do the minimum and expect the maximum.

If a PSA seems to only be doing the daily task, ask them if they need help getting their advertising going, or if they have questions that they need answered, because most wont be trying to do the minimum they will just be stuck on something and need some help or prodding. Be patient and understanding as these daily task doers are working their business. They are trying to make a go of it even if they are not as productive as you would like them to be.

Not everyone gets started at the same speed, some just need time and coaching.

Affiliates first need to know the different income streams provided by SFI.
On SFI the Income Stream that will make you the most money is Sponsoring affiliates.
On Tripleclicks you accumulate Sales VP when you sell products to your personally referred members and you also get direct commissions.
Pricebenders Auctions deliver brand new (and, occasionally, refurbished), brand name merchandise, gift cards, and more at prices that are far below retail prices.
ECA referrals will earn you both CV commissions and versa points.
Games at SFI can win you TCredits.
These are the income streams at SFI, teach team members to focus on the one's that they are most comfortable with.

The most difficult thing to do is tell someone what to do especially if you are not doing it yourself. It is necessary to LEAD BY EXAMPLE.
For new affiliates encourage them to simply follow the directions at the "Launch Pad Series" and "Rules of Success ". The E365 challenge is a fun contest that gives you some great goals to shoot for during your first year in SFI. And while you're competing in E365, you're, of course, also accumulating LOTS of versa points.

Motivate affiliates go join A2A. Making new friends at SFI and finding friends from the same country will create affinity. They can also participate in the Forum.One gets news on new products, current development, etc; any questions posted at the forum will receive many answers. The Forum is interesting, motivating , inspiring and encouraging.visit at least once a day.

Teach team members how to advertise in the free classifieds using the banners provided by SFI. Benefits can be enormous and the only cost is time.

Help affiliates to complete all actions on their to do list including the immediate and intermediate actions. Keep reminding them of the importance of reading a little everyday. Success is built on great habits and habits are formed through practice . Chinese Philosopher Lau Tzu said....

Yes, I agree with your observation that many affiliates (both new and old ones) are only interested in completing the “Daily-to-do-tasks” in their SFI homepage, not realizing that there are still other activities that they could pursue to gain success in SFI. Among these other activities are:
1.) You could advise your downlines (PSAs/CSAs) to participate in Pricebender auctions to have a chance to win high-valued items at low costs if they are lucky enough to win the auction. However, winning an auction needs some kind of online training and keen observations of how the auctions are carried out. Hence, they must not join any auction without familiarizing themselves first of the PB auction rules and regulations and other pertinent information prior to joining their first try on the “No Win” auction.
2.) Advise them to participate in SFI’s FORUM discussion, either by replying to existing comments thread raised by some concerned SFI affiliates or by raising your own comment thread and indicating your desired topic for which you want some clarifications or seeking some advice on some specific SFI-related matters. Participating in FORUM discussions would help you gain more SFI and TripleClicks related information which would help you gain more insights about SFI’s business operations.
3.) Advise them to read questions and answers in ASK SFI Community. They could always raise a question and obtain responses from SFI affiliate-respondents within a 10-day period. The affiliates who raised the question could refer to all the responses received and determine which ones had really answered his query to his satisfaction. Alternatively, he could review all the responses to all the queries raised and build up his SFI knowledge gradually and consistently.
4.) Advise them to participate in EAGER ZEBRA games, particularly those with free TC entries to help them gain more VPs, TCs and MRPs. The TCs and MRPs won could be used to purchase Tcredits and other items in TripleClicks store and its various ECA stores.
5.) Once they gained knowledge of SFI business operations, they could devote their time in learning how to promote TripleClicks/ECAs products thru advertising, either online or offline.

It's not a surprise anymore that many people seem to like works that are part of their daily routine. If they live another day by just doing such things, then why look for more uneasy tasks, right?

However, in our case as SFI Affiliates, we should not limit our daily routine to just digging out those daily action VP's that were only waiting for our mouse pointers. Many newbies here possess those qualities. It's not at all bad. Give them, let's say, a month of learning (i.e., Launchpad) and absorbing the information from those daily to-do tasks. But after that investigate how they improve from doing so. Of course you should contact them regularly to be able to accede to their demands (if there is one) and let them feel that they were being guided. This way you can gain their trust and you will look credible to them.

Then you can now personally give them a set of daily to-do list (besides the one in our SFI homepages) and begin changing their routine. But do so prudently. You may not want to lose those hard-earned trust in just a blink of an eye!

You see that's the power of constant communication. You don't have to be a hero or politician or psychologist to influence other people's lives.

The fact that affiliates are interested in completing those daily tasks on the To-Do List is a start. It is a very good start! The main thing that will help them to see how important it is for them to work in the business more is your example. Your badges show what you do. Your encouragement shows what you do. You teach them, by your example and by your encouraging messages, that in order to really earn in this business, you must invest time and some money into it. you teach affiliates that a positive attitude is very important! If a person is willing to spend time and read and read and read some more until he/she understands the whole business model and how it works, a leader will result from the hard work and the investment put into it.

The Affiliates that are only doing the Daily To-Do list are those who have not yet committed to SFI and TripleClicks.

To be doing anything other than the To-Do list, visiting the forum, ASK SC or the stream means that they will have to purchase something at TripleClicks.

Another thing to consider is that the affiliates in question may not have the income to be able to participate in anything else and they are trying to get their business going without the needed expenses of purchasing products.

The motivation you can give is to be an example of transfer buying regular needed household items from TripleClicks rather than other markets. Share what you have transferred and how it has helped you.

Remember to share with your team every time that you win something (and how you did it) no matter how small it is. The more things you are winning the more they will pay attention and maybe get excited (motivated) enough to try the same thing.

One thing we have to remember is that what we share may motivate some affiliates but believe me not all who read your exciting winnings will be impressed. Some may even get up-set for various reasons known only to them.

Motivation is created only when someone who is watching or listening has the desire to learn how to put in motion what you are trying to share with them.

You can do no more that provide the “tender,” the “spark” and even the kindling wood to get the fire going; after that it is up to them to get the fire blazing.

Then you must tell them in a good way that if you only doing your todolist-you don´t going to develop you business and move it forward. As all business need advertising

But you talking maybee on ALL activities we can do-on Sfi+tripleclick, like play games, auctions,etc..

Then you can try to tell about your experience on things you like-the auction/games-that it is fun and you can win quality products cheep, play fun games and win. +Badges

You could also ask what type of games, etc they like

And if they are serios about SFI

Then it CAN be that some of them probebly kind of new affiliate-don´t understand what or how they shall do stuff-ex advertise, send out giftcard, etc..

There must be a business map to follow, not only for primary activities such as logging in every day and doing the red tabs. The affiliate must also have additional strategies such as the setting of workable and achievable objectives to be implemented each and every day as well. In short, one must have in place an ongoing business development strategy. The affiliate must get into the habit of thinking of these activities as career development processes, not as repetitive job activities.

It is important for the affiliate to set short term flexible goals, and of cause, measure the progression of these flexible goals as they move forward with building their perspective business units. The business development strategy should ideally, be centered on such activities as learning the specific processes related to the SFI platform, and the implementation of these processes, via Marketing and Advertising.

Given a structured sense of direction, I think the affiliate will do alright.
