People fear success because they are afraid of the unknown. If you, as a sponsor, you are already there, it won't be an unknown to them, it will be something obvious. Because you did it or you are doing it, then it will be obvious for them that they can do it too, they won't have fear.
You are the bridge to their success. If the bridge is strong they won't have fear to pass to success. If the bridge is wobbly, only the brave will pass it.

Fear of success can inhibit us, it can prevent our goals and dreams.Fear is a mechanism of the human body,often non-english speaking people are afraid and don't find the courage to do their best.
They need to get rid of this fear begin to trust themselves, begin to seek advice, many won't do it and NOW it begins your role :Sponsoring.
You must encourage them, after all encouraging is the "key people care";you must be careful how you choose your words of encouragement to have the desired effect.

When people who are more timid begin to communicate with you have to listen carefully and not superficially, to get them to understand that SFI is a community of love, metaphorically speaking, where members help each other, where do not mind a nonsense if you ask anyone ,where you are given 24 hour support, from corporate and members through forum,a2a, part of the SFI:they should understand that they have entered into a big family where you are helped when you stumble, dare to have the courage to ask the forum, ask your sponsor or upline, or contact suport.As a Sponsor in SFI is better to suggest your affiliates a strategy, this strategy depends on individual problems in SFI, so that as a Sponsor must be armed with several strategies, you must be the first to know to answer the question of an affiliate, but because no one knows everything, there are other options, forum.upline, support.

First let's look at fear of success, then we will look at how to get past this with team members. Understanding fear is key here.

Fear of success... sounds odd. Why would someone be afraid of success?

Success isn't seen as the norm. It's seen as something that's out of reach and therefore has to be achieved. Consequently, fear comes in two parts:

1) Fear of coming out of one's comfort zone while on the road to success.

2) Fear of actually achieving success as this is unfamiliar territory.

Either way, fear is fear. It is an emotion you feel more at the thought of something, or of doing something. If you are about to do something new and bold, fear is a natural precursor to the action itself.

The fear can be so great that it becomes a hindrance to what you want to do. It holds you back and can sometimes cripple you emotionally, so much so that it prevents you taking whatever action you know you must take.

Dealing with fear, and other emotions, is all part of life's journey. We are all making that journey every single day.

So let's broaden the subject a little. You may find this interesting as it may help everyone to better understand, not only fear, but emotions in general.

What is fear? It is a negative emotion.

What is confidence? It is a positive emotion.

What are negative emotions? These are bad feelings you experience.

What are positive emotions? These are good feelings you experience.

If you experience good emotions, then you are experiencing positive emotions. This means that you are in a good place, which means that you can be more creative from this place and you can better deal with obstacles and challenges.

If you experience bad emotions, then you are experiencing negative emotions. This means that you are not in a good place, which means that you will be more self-sabotaging from this place. Challenges and obstacles are then blown out of all proportion.

So your emotions tell you whether you are on the right course or not. If something feels good, you are on course. If something doesn't feel good, you are off course.

Ultimately, you need to put yourself in a good place emotionally and work from there. You need to focus on the good and not the bad. There is good and bad in every person's lives. It is a matter of where you choose to focus.

So for your team help them understand the good and bad emotions, in a broad sense. Some will have fear. Some will have doubt. Some will have worry. Some will have an avalanche of mixed emotions.

Get them to broaden it and categorize the emotion(s) as either good or bad. Then encourage them to focus on the good emotions so as to bring them to a better place, a place of creativity.

Fear will still be in the background. However, when coming from a place of feeling better, rather than feeling bad, then fear (and other negative emotions) are much more easily manageable.

This also applies to all areas in life. You are better able to deal with situations and challenges when you feel good than when you feel bad.

Your SFI business is no different.

I don't think that fear of success is a major problem for many people, because success means that you start earning in this business. And this is something that each of us wants here. This is why we are here.

The major problem by many people is a fear of failure or that they are not capable to succeed.

In my opinion you don't have to get past the fear of success with your team members, but the fear of failure.

To do that, you have to:
-work with them everyday,
-cheer them up, when they feel bad,
-tell them that failure does not mean you should give up, but to go further,
-tell them that they have to clear they minds of „can't“
-optimisam is a better way of seeing the life...

In other words, they have to feel that your are with them and that you will always help them.

You overcome fear with knowledge and dismiss your doubts with faith. As with any problem, you have to admit the problem before you can solve it. People can give you a 1001 reason why they have not succeed in SFI. Then ask them, what have you done? How long did you do it? How do you know about what you did? Aha, that's the problem!

Really it is something the individual has to come to grips with. Until they do, there is nothing much that you can do. Always be positive. Regardless, sell your enthusiasm and some will come around. Keep the information flowing weekly and more often for your movers - up to 3 times per week.

I would encourage them to show me just a small amount of success - get to EA. No big deal but 90% never even get there. But what was there to be afraid of in getting there? Show them how to get to EA2. A lot harder but no big deal.

Just do it gradually - one rank at a time. Each rank is a new success but when they get there, what was the problem? Success eventually will feed on itself and because the ascension past BTL is a long slow process, they can get used to the success they already have and look on the next level as something that will happen if they keep working.

Try to instill fear of failure and fear of success will disappear.

Maybe this is important in motivational literature and recently so famous self improvement courses, but in practice, in SFI, as in other online businesses, there is a fear of failure and a real fear too.

All the statistics tell us that more than 95% of people trying to make business online, will fail within the first 2 years. This is truly scary…

In addition, majority of new SFI members are trying to build business without any financial expenses and without enough time to do things themselves. There is not such a thing as a free traffic for example, you must pay for it with your time or with your money, and if you do not have either, then the fear of failure must prevail…

If you analyse “fear” it will boil down to only one thing: The unknown.
We all are afraid of some things only because we do not understand it or have not experienced it before. It is not a bad thing. It keeps you alert at all times. With SFI, there is a bit of a “safety net” with all the support that the program offers. Think of it this way: Your affiliates are already in your downline. The worst thing that can happen is you can lose an affiliate if you make a mistake, but if you do not try new things, you will not grow.

When you engage in SFI (or every other relation for that matter); just speak with confidence. Confidence is obtained by knowledge. Make sure your facts are right, and if you are unsure of yourself, admit it, and refer to your upline. This will not only boost your self-esteem, but will earn you respect from others.

In order to help people to overcome the Fear of Success, you need to understand the origins of this fear. When you were growing up how many times did you hear your parents or other family members or role models say the following?

Money does not bring happiness
Money is hard to get.
Money does not grow on trees.
Just because they have money they think that they can behave badly.

The theme goes on and on. In order to move to the next stage of becoming successful it is imperative for people to look at their childhood and find the negative statements about money and success that are holding them back.
Once you can identify the origins you can then overcome the fear that surrounds money and success. The easiest way to do this is to make a list of all the things that would improve the lives of you and your loved ones.

Many people have developed such a fear of success and are so used to living a life of scarcity that they say there is nothing or very little that they need. The accent is on need. They have stifled all their wants. You and your team need to make a list of 100 things that you want. Yes, write down 100 things. They can be big or small, a new car or a candy bar.

Once you have completed your list read it every day for 3 days. On day 4 reduce your list to 20 items, spend another 3 days reviewing this list, on day 4 reduce the list to five items.
Look carefully at each item on your list and visualize how you and your loved ones will feel when this becomes reality. Discuss the items with your family to find the top 3. Now write these 3 onto cards, put one in your wallet or purse, I on the bathroom mirror, 1 in your desk at work and 1 next to your bed so that you will see this last thing at night and first thing in the morning.

Now focus all your energy on achieving these goals, create milestones and time lines for each item and reward yourself each time you meet a milestone.
Milestones are what you use to measure your progress. Maybe you need $1200 for a camping trip, and you decide that you will leave in 12 months time.
Your milestone would be to save $100 each month, your time line is 1 year. Choose a reward that you will enjoy each time you save $100 perhaps a candy bar or an ice cream, The reward must be taken.

Rewards reinforce your success behaviors, as soon as you get your first reward you will know that you are overcoming your fear of success.

Fear of success. I've been thinking about your question for a few days now. The question is "How do you get past this?" I think we must define this fear first.

Affiliates are not afraid of money, that may be on someones mind as in "I won the lottery, now stay away, it's my money." They are fearful that people will try to take money from them. If you see this in your affiliates, explain to them the difference between fast money and money you work for. SFI provides the later based on your work ethic.

Affiliates are afraid of what others think of them as in "Oh you've joined one of those internet marketing companies, what a joke." They fear losing a friend due to the way they chose to better themselves. Explain that through SFI they can better themselves and if they see it through to the point where they are making good money they can go to that friend and show them the results, maybe even getting that friend to become an affiliate.

Affiliates may never have been successful before. When they get their first taste, and see bad reactions from others, they may not like it. If that is the case have them run their SFI business in as professional a manner as possible. Sink into the work. When this fear rears it's ugly head tell them to work on some area of SFI that they have not tried. The new direction will allay the fear. Then they can go to those that criticized their efforts with the results. Again possibly getting new affiliates.

There will always be critics, advise your affiliates that the critics are likely those that tried and failed, they are in a group of those that try and end up succeeding. Let their success prove to the world they made the right choice.
