Most “fear” is derived from lack of knowledge (the unknown) – even the fear of success. When confronted with the complexities of having a large group of people depending on you to lead them on the road to success can be quite fearful to someone who has never done anything like that before.

The beauty of the SFI and TripleClicks business is that it takes time to build a really good financial income. It is during this “time” the affiliate will gradually be increasing and acquiring the knowledge in business building procedures.

Each time a person preforms a small step towards overcoming a fear – taking that small step is no longer fearful. Taking one step at a time decreases the fear factor that much more.

That is why it is so important not to overwhelm a new affiliate with too much information. A mouth is only so big – you can stuff too much food in it so that chewing and swallowing it are impossible. So don’t feed an affiliate to much at a time; with many small bites a huge amount of food can be digested.

The only way you are going to know if a person is “fearful” of success is if they tell you that. Do not assume that someone is fearful because they don’t commit to the business as strongly as you are doing. There are many reasons that people hold back on further activities and “fear” has nothing to do with it.

The fear you are looking at may be - the person just don’t know what to do next and is afraid to ask for help.
The fear you are looking at may be - a time of great financial difficulty and they don’t want to be telling anyone how rough of a time they are having.
The fear you are looking at may be - nothing more than a language barrier and they can’t explain what the problem is because of incorrect interpretation.

As a team leader we should never try to get “past” the situation. Find a way to work with those who you believe have these fears you may be surprised to find out that with the proper help your fearful affiliate may be one who can take down Goliath.

Hallo Sheila, I believe most of us have the fear of failing and not the fear success. Many of us have already failed in many diferent ways of life but also, some when they became successful, it was too much for them that they could not cope up with it.

Any way, whatever it might be, tell yourself and your Team the following: If you want something you´ve never had, then you´ve got to do something you´ve never done. There is nothing more intoxicating than doing big, bold and beutiful things. Don´t fear, begin today. Please do not feed the fears. Overcome the fear of success! Use SFI for your success!!!

Fear of success or fear of failure, may have the same symptoms and both fears will hold you back from achieving your dreams and goals. Many of us is not aware and don’t realize that we’ve been holding ourselves back from achieving & accomplishing something great at SFI.

Let us look at a few symptoms that may or will affect us in doing our business;

1) If we frequently compromise our own goals or agenda to avoid conflict in a group (and may
be in your family too);
2) We self-sabotage our work or dreams by convincing our self that we're not good enough to
achieve them;
3) We believe that if we do achieve success, we won't be able to sustain it. When we will fail
and end up back in a worse place than where we started;
4) We fear the added work, responsibilities, or criticism that we'll face;
5) We're afraid that the higher we climb in life, the further we're going to fall when we make
mistakes;

In terms of communication with your team members, assure and help them to understand that they should not be afraid in accomplishing their goals. They should ‘face’ the fear, try to analyze why they are having the fear and one good example is becoming a Team Leader, instead of pulling them down, it should energize and uplift one’s self esteem and gain more confidence in executing their actions.

Move forward, work and achieve your goals and dreams, learn from mistakes, take responsibilities & criticism in strides. No one can stop you from achieving your success.

Fear of success is a major problem for many people. How do you get past this with your team members?

I have a story somewhat like that, some time ago, I’ll say about 1995 I was about to receive my college degree and had to walk up the steps and across a stage to do so. I had to also shake the hand of the college president, and as well as the keynote speaker, who was at the time, a state senator. After all that work I had done getting that degree, I froze at that first step while ascending to the stage to receive my degree. I believed that I was ok studying alone to complete my studies, but when it came to appearing before eight thousand people at that commencement, that part of the success factor I wanted to relinquish.

In all, it was part of a process, and a movement from one stage in life to the next. I needed to adapt to the new position that I had intentionally created for myself, not the fact that eight thousand people had attended the ceremony, but accept that moment as a part of my personal success map.

So to get past the fear of one-to-many connections, focus on where you want to be next, therefore, get that one foot off first base and move on to second base, it’s a step by step process. Moving to the next level involves engaging and connecting with your team as a team leader.

I have a friend that has taught me a lot. He's never mentioned me being afraid of anything, and just loves me for who I am. When I allow myself to 'use my head' I naturally face my fear. That's the best way to move beyond fear.

Personally I believe fear is more of an issue than success and how you will handle it when you get it because when a person learns to face your fear than that's how you will handle success.

Fear has a way of paralyzing a person or inspiring them to run. I believe that if we continually inspiring them to keep on without mentioning success and rather inspire them to grow in SFI and motivate them to gain as many badges as possible because that will gain them success without focusing on the success. Eventually gaining badges will become a habit, and after awhile when the badges start adding up on their profile they'll start noticing the proud accomplished feeling and by than the habit of earning badges will have been so ingrained they'll simply keep on working it.

I know I didn't know what I'd want if I got success and so I backed off until I found the good feeling of earning badges. After that my next thing I worked on was to write an forum post that Mr. Gery Carson would like. I had no idea how or what to write so to be honest I didn't really try until I found out how easy it was for me to write and just the other day he liked my post and I went crazy happy and everyone around was like: 'what's so exciting?' I laughed and told them. They all shook their heads. Those are the best kind of prospects: the ones that aren't convinced easily and will not sign up right away. When they do they jump in with both feet and start swimming and are your best customers.

This is a reality in many circles and to get past it you must have strategies in place that will make your team members feel at ease. The first major hurdle is ignorance, they don't know success and they fear something that they have not ventured into. After seeing success in you as their team leader, the game doesn't end there. It goes further to a level of you mixing up with those who have equal success or are ahead of you. This has an instant impact in that they come to reality with terms that success isn't something that is far from them.

Gathering from positive experiences that you'll have exposed your team members to, identification of areas of tackling is the next milestone and turning that into small tasks which can be handled in periodic intervals works the magic of letting them take responsibility to ensure that fear slowly and completely vanishes.

Finally the light at the end of the tunnel makes it very easy to replace fear of success with fear of failure. The incentives which are there makes an individual want to break a wall with a bare fist. Talk about the end result there which will motivate even the most dumb person that you can ever meet. Live up to the expectation of the team members by walking with them to success.

"Fear is your biggest enemy..."

It is either you make it or you do not depending on the kind of choices you make. As a leader you take responsibility of all that happens within your team, whether positive or negative.

All you need to be aware of, is that if you choose to succeed your team will succeed and if you choose to fail your team will fail too.

If there is any misfortune in the team, the first person you ought to point a finger to blame would be you yourself and you need to ask yourself where was the mishap from and how you could solve the challenging situation.

So how do you get past fear? Just do it! Do not think about it... JUST DO IT!

Obviously there are things you have done in your business that have worked. Keep repeating them until you perfect your actions. And then... that is when real SUCCESS flows in even before you know it.

Actually by just having started your own business at SFI you have already SUCCEEDED because you are one step towards your SUCCESS...

Fear of success is something that I have had to deal with in the past. It left me alone for many years until I joined SFI and saw progress

Years ago, when I took a hard look at my fear of success to the point where I sabotaged each success, I realized I had a fear of failure. I was trying with all of my might; I wanted to win. A part of myself wasn't ready so rather than fail by trying, rather than stopping (thinking that was like quitting), I set myself up to fail. Of course, I got angry with myself.

When I joined SFI, I got my own business with my own hours. I need to work at home and have flexible hours for I am on disability. Success? I was and I still am ready. I have goals as always but this time around I am making sure that my hard work doesn't go to waste like rotten tomatoes.

What might help any of your team members who fear success is that you support them, talk them through it. It might be like what I found with myself, a fear of failure.

What I taught myself, too, was that it's alright to fail as long as I tried. I'm not as hard on myself now.

Why does a fear arise in first place? That's due to lack of knowledge, isn't it. So, the solution is simple. Gain knowledge about the product well before deciding to continue or call it a quit.
But majority of the people do not pay attention to the importance of reading and subsequently quit due to lack of knowledge.
Hence, you should maintain constant touch with your team members and keep guiding them through various articles, news updates and other transcripts that may assist them get valuable information. This not only develops trust in what they are following but also helps them promote it to others.
Not only they would overcome their fears but would also help others overcome them.
