Communication is a very important part of SFI business. We should all learn how to use it properly to our best advantage. And the best ways to set up proper communications with your new PSAs will depend on your own preference.

The following are the best and simplest ways as we don't need to invent new ones to set it up.

We set up communication with new PSAs early on by sending them Welcome E-Cards. If they are online and the light is on, use the SFIM to open up and welcome them to SFI and to your Team. If they don't respond, leave a message anyway for them to read.

Use the Chat box. This has been the easiest way of communicating because of the informality of the chat that helps the new PSAs feel at ease and know they are chatting with a real person and not a robot.

Once the new PSAs start to show up at your Movers List and you know they are actively working their new SFI business, acknowledge their efforts by sending a Team Mail, or an E-Card to praise them and encourage them to keep on going.

Other ways to communicate with new PSAs are through the social media which is very popular, and by phone or mobile, or Skype, whichever you prefer, to make contact any time.

I am partial to a 3 prong communications system that my team can duplicate.

Prong 1 - is the most used method of communication in the world today, Facebook Chat. When paired with a dedicated group discussion where you can post Notes: with permanent getting started tips and advanced marketing advice you can get active 24/7 in team support that is tailored to the people you work with.

Prong 2 - is the second most used method of communication which is Skype. With Skype and more importantly Skype for Business plugins you can even add white board and screen sharing apps so you can walk your PSA through things like adding a banner to their personal blog, showing them as you go.

Prong 3 - Google Plus Hangouts. These you also pair with a work group for your members which will act as your best invite list for on air hangouts. This works great for both team training sessions and also when paired with YouTube the Hangouts on Air can be broadcast through your channel allowing hundreds or even thousands of people to get a overview of SFI as you present it live for them to see. It can be massive for recruiting.

The 3 tools work well in unison to turn social contacts into active PSA who are motivated by the team atmosphere and live support to do more, and stick with it long enough for their efforts to gain traction. Make it very clear though in any group communications that there is a zero tolerance policy for airing complaints and grievance because one sour grape can spoil the bunch. Complaints should be directed to SFI support since you can not address these complaints in 9 of 10 cases.

Normally, SFI notifies that new PSAs have been received and are added into my genealogy. It is my initiative to contact them immediately or as soon as possible. If they are online, I can contact them immediately.

If they are online a green dot appear after the names in Movers or in genealogy. I can open up a chat by clicking the green dot. Chatting is a more direct way to communicate with them

Send an e-card to welcome them into my team

Use PSA mailer as a group mail to send welcome letter and an introduction to SFI business. Or I can use individual email to send them letters

In my genealogy, use filter to identify them as the latest PSAs received. Or PSAs received in the last 30 days so that none of them is missing out of the mail.

Use instant messages(IM), Note, telephone contact as provided in genealogy.

Use social media like Facebook, Tweet, Pinterest, Google blog, Wordpress, etc if they subscribe to these public domains.

Plan my communication schedule and its contents so that the flow of information and intended messages are received in proper order and sequences as not to confuse or jumble up the information. The flow of messages must be arranged in stages from the simple idea to an advance level as they are new and insufficient exposure to SFI business.

Response effectively and efficiently to any enquires that they raise. Guide them through the proper channel of communication as not to overlap and distorted the intended messages.

Send them emails once a week at the early stage to ensure that I am always there to help and to maintain contact and develop close relationship as business partners.

One of the biggest challenges Team Leaders face is communication. And yet, communication is also one of the most critical aspects of leadership. Without good communication, Team Leaders can fail to gain commitment from their PSAs, fail to achieve their business goals and fail to develop rapport with their PSAs. In short, they can fail as Team Leaders no matter how good their intentions may be.

As a Team Leader you’ll need to figure out what works best to keep your new PSAs coherent, productive and motivated. You’ll need to put in place best communication strategies with your new PSAs.

How to set up proper communications with your new PSAs?

- In a virtual environment (online), you need to create opportunities for your new PSAs to just “chat” both formally and informally. Some effective options are SFIM, online chat rooms such as Skype, and video conferencing (free on Google+ Hangout). Your new PSAs will have a firsthand in getting to know you. Give them a warm welcome and short introduction about yourself.

- Always set your SFIM chat open. Your new PSAs can leave messages for you. It’s essential to keep this chat alive but not distracting. There’s enough conversation to be able to discuss important issues and to feel like you’re connected as one team, but not so much that it becomes distracting. This can also serve as social connection with your new PSAs.

- Choose the right communication style. Depending on your needs, choose the type of communication that works best for you:

1. Email/Team mail – For quick interactions

2. Chat programs – SFIM, Skype or Google chat are great for quick instant messages and for creating a team chat environment.

3. Phone calls or video chat – Some types of communication should only be handled over the phone. Any kind of emotional issue such as performance problems should be handled over the phone or one on one email support. Video chat would be even better as it gives you more visual cues of what is going on with the other person.

4. Creating a short video – It’s very easy to create a video of yourself on YouTube using your webcam.

- Use screen sharing tools.

There are tools that enable you to share your screen so that your new PSAs can see exactly what you are doing. Skype has screen sharing capability but without any option to control another computer remotely.

Communication takes effort. But it is effort well-spent given the benefits—a more pleasant, more productive work setting in which everyone feels valued, ideas are shared openly and relationships are characterized by trust. By setting up proper communication with your new PSAs, you’re creating for them an atmosphere of a true team feeling.

Set up proper communications with your new PSAs right from the word ‘Go’

As soon as you receive notification from SFI of a new PSA, immediately have a look at his/her profile. Learn a little about the new PSA.

If the person is online, make contact straight away. Say welcome, say who you are, say good to have you on board, welcome and that you are sending him/her some brief details of what to do from now on. Make sure you do what you say you would do.

If the person is not online, send a welcome letter.

Emphasize right from the beginning that you are there for them and that they can approach you with any problems they have regarding SFI.
You want your new PSAs to feel welcomed, to feel that SFI is not so daunting, that you are someone they can work with and that if they need help they can always come to you.
The content and tone of your welcome letter and all your other messages from now on must reflect these.

In my leadership page, I have a brief summary of who I am. I direct all my PSAs to that page and invite them to read and find out a little bit about me. I believe this is important, they should know something about their sponsors.

If you have team contests and incentives invited your new PSAs to take part in them straight away.

Always try to confirm as early as possible the best contact for the new PSAs. Try also to find out their preferred language and also point out to them that each SFI page can be translated. I have found that many PSAs put down English as their primary language but soon it becomes evident that they are struggling with the English language.

Having set this up at the start of the relationship, you now need to maintain it.

The SFI business is rather challenging but when it comes to communicating with your PSAs, there is a huge potential as to how you can talk to them. You must keep in mind that it makes communicating a lot easier when you understand the circumstances of your PSAs under which they are working with you.

1. I have a Whatsapp group of my team members who include my PSAs I feel this gives them encouragement when they hear about other team members' experiences. This group has a day to day "what's new" kind of vibrancy which enhances rapport and gets the PSAs to understand the deeper concept of the business from other member's point of view.

This is useful for both new PSAs as well as those that have been in the business for a while. The group builds up and we are well informed. Whenever I add a new PSA, I notify the group and this starts off communication with others too!

2. The personal SFI chat system allows my PSAs to be in contact with me at any time they are online and if they have a question, if I am also online, its ideal to answer their questions immediately. Or if I find I need to convey a message to them, I have the freedom to do so. They can view it at any time later when they log in.

3. The stream is also helpful though it may not be ideal for a new PSA who is learning the business. He/she may not feel comfortable to see messages that are personal and relating to the PSA in the open.

4. Email is another excellent option you can adopt with new PSAs though this requires that the PSA does not have immediate replies unless you have answered them immediately. Skype, may also prove to be handy though it depends on the PSA and if they have access or may not be able to use this in some cases where there are great time differences.

SFI already provides so many options that it is best to see what suits your PSA and you will learn the various communicating preferences from your new PSAs as you interact with them more. Do not have a rigid rule but adopt and adapt to each one's requirements and needs.

Proper communication is whatever they will accept. The question is how do you find this out? Ask them. Send them a list of ways you can be contacted in your welcome email and ask them what is most convenient for them.I realize that if they don't respond this is very difficult, but you can try and find them in some social media situation and ask them if emailing is the best way to contact them. If you don't get an answer then, drop it, and continue sending them emails.

If they contact you after the first email in which you sent a listing for the different methods of contact, use the one they suggested. Perhaps you could do a survey, using the methods available and send it to all of your PSA's and then you would have a better idea what is best for them.

Never,never make assumptions in any kind of sale situation. Use what is available to you and ask what is best for them.If you contact your new PSA in every way you can utilize, the one they respond to is probably the one they would prefer, but ask anyway. Give them control whenever possible so you can find out what is best for them. If they don't respond, the most beneficial way is to do the weekly letters. Some people who don't respond at first might respond when they feel they can trust you to contact them regularly.

Good that you asked this question. Most of the memers (Evem SFI Leaders do not know how to contact them)

Here are some of the methods:

1. Go to geneaology and see if there is a GREEN rectangle against their name. If it is there, You consider yourself lucky. You can use their email id to interact with them

2. Problem arises when the rectangle is white, because they have not confirmed their registration. Try to locate them on Social Media Network. You can find them somewhere.

3.. Once you find them them ask them to confirm their email id and earn 100 VPs as well.

4.. Go to “my movers”tab and contact them through PMs.

5.. Send them PSAs/CSAs mailers in the hope that sometimes they may wake up. Let them sleep tight now.

6. Keep your all communication channels open, never leave them alone. Never quit them as useless, co’z you do not know their real condition.

7.. Always send them greetings on various occasions to show them that you have not forgotten then.

Usually we know when to expect a new sign up to come in. example, when we win PSA from auction, when we buy PSA from vendors or we run a paid ads. Here is my suggestion on How you can set up a proper communication to your new PSA.

First Contact:

Whenever you expect that new PSA's coming, its good to be at you computer and as soon as new sign up come in, you use the chat facility we have at SFI and welcome them, introduce your self and tell them that you are there to help. How?
1. Message will come to tell you that new PSA has arrive.
2. Click the message and within the message you will see a link to the profile of your new PSA.
3. You will them if they are online because there is a green dot beside the send message button.
4. Click the send message button and start chatiing.

Second Contact:

From his profile, under the tab "start" you can find a very good welcome letter, copy and send it to him/her. add some notes to make it very personal.

Third Contact:

You must send a separate message explaining in simple term how he/she can earn from SFI. Note that almost all who join SFI want to earn. Therefore this is one of the most important inforamtion you should give your PSA.

Fourth Contact:

Tell them them what is expected of them to be successful in SFI. Namely.
1. They should learn how to find affiliates (PSA, PRM, ECA, CSA).
2. They should earn Versa Points.
3. They should teach their affiliates to do the same. (Duplication)

If they will answer you back then it is a good sign that he/she might get interested and be active.

I prefer to do the following so I can effectively communicate with my new PSAs.

1. I send them my Welcome Message where it tells them how to get started with SFI and how to contact me.
2. I invite them to add me as a friend on Facebook/Messenger. If they don’t have FB account, I tell them to create one so I can add them in our Team chat.
3. I always say hello and ask how they are doing when I see them online on FB. Then I offer if they need any help. Most important: I say hello to them even if they don’t say hello back.
4. I also say hi when I see them online same time with me on SFI Chat.
5. I send them weekly email and if one ask for assistance, I give them special time.

These are friendly ways to develop a team bond and rapport with them. Remember, many may belong to different cultures so sometimes it is not easy to get their immediate trust. Be patient is the key!
