There are days when I feel down, I question my abilities and I can pin point many reasons why or who is responsible for this state of mind. I tell myself I am human. I take time to introspect (looking inwards) and make a self-assessment. Being able to analyse yourself are very important tools that will help you improve only if you allow your thoughts to move in that positive direction. If you wallow in self-pity and start doubting your actions or the results of your actions, you are leaving yourself vulnerable to low self-esteem.

Leadership, whether it is in SFI or anywhere else in a nutshell is being able to set aside the negative feelings and draw yourself out of that state of mind. If you feel you are worth nothing, others will definitely believe so and this is the first step you need to address. We are all individuals who possess unique qualities and characteristics that make us special in each and every way and this is a fact. Believe in yourself and your abilities and move out of that negative path.

Look at your progress, assess it through your hard work, your self-drive, your ability to understand the needs of others, your support for your team and enjoy what you do. With all these traits at your disposal, your self worth is more than what you can imagine. Avoid negativity of all forms and keep away from people who bring you or your business down. Do not let what others say affect your goals or objectives and do not anticipate the worse!

We all face numerous challenges in life but that does not mean that we have failed or we do not have the ability to perform. And, even if you fail once, let that not distract you from your focus-who does not fail before they succeed.........

As for experience, this comes with time not only for yourself but for everyone who set foot on the SFI platform. Even Gery Carson started as a young man in a marketing role when he had no experience-he started somewhere and has built SFI through 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 10 years & it has now mounted to 30 years of experience-it comes with handling a business/passion over time. This is a common question affiliates ask when they join SFI. It would only be right that I provide my personal experiences on my time in SFI. This means that I would have to take you back to the time I joined SFI.

1. I was very fortunate to earn immediately I joined - if you call less than $1.00 an income for 5 days of work - this is what I received.

2. Then in my full month subsequently I enrolled 2 PSAs who were active and this meant that I earned enough to pay for my overseas Payoneer Card.

3. This point relates to earning commissions through your ECA and my first sale was very encouraging though my store was opened later but this is another income stream you would need to add to your income. This income is earned almost immediately you have a store and are ready to market it together with having products that customers need and want.

4. Finally we have your referrals who also play an important role in your cumulative earnings-people who are not necessarily SFI affiliates but who purchase products regularly on TripleClicks. This is another immediate income generating stream.

Therefore to answer your question, you can see for yourself, what you put into your business, you receive. However, if you are looking at sustaining your life with income then I would say that this is dependent on your level of commitment to SFI, how many active members you recruit, how many will remain with you and how many will leave. It also depends on whether you have an ECA and what you do daily to expand it.

It is not just one factor that goes into your income potential but if you had to summarize it.
When you earn enough to pay for your Standing Order and make a profit from your SFI commissions, this is where your start would be - when you no longer have to borrow money for a SO.

You can earn what you want to - it can be achieved in 1 month, 1 year, 3 years or never. It depends on YOU.

Family members play a vital role if they are your partners in business. They have a very long list of contacts through business and other ventures that they may be involved in so their list of prospective affiliates is a never ending one.

It is amazing how one member of your family may link up with a friend who knows another friend and this positive chain of contacts is there for you to explore and exploit.

The other extremely useful participation in your business comes from the need and want for gifts and this can result in a high volume of sales through referrals. Because you are involved in the business, your family members will appreciate that you are working with TripleClicks and they will be at ease when placing their orders. This is another way.

I normally find that whenever there is a family gathering or reunion, this is the best time to pass on your business cards to them or pick up a few close members and talk to them of this new venture you are involved with.

You never know which family member will be instrumental in helping you expand your business. Nothing goes to waste even if you feel that they seem uninterested, do not lose hope. Your professional business card is another entry into your family members' home

Remain positive at all times and the results will be positive, without a doubt!

This would be how I would write my welcome letter to my reassigned PSAs. It is important to give them reassurance that they will be looked after as well as their previous recruiter. I would keep it brief, to the point and not add any more information that would create any confusion or give them much to think about.

Dear PSA

I am XXXXX(my name), your team leader and new Sponsor. You have been assigned to me so that I can closely help you and work with you. Your earlier Sponsor is still our Up Line support but as we grow, we help each other with these re-assignments.

My role as your Sponsor is already pre-defined because without your progress, I will also be left behind and this is why we must work together for our mutual benefit. I will be able to answer all your questions but please remember, that I may be a teacher but my role as a student continues.

I would highly recommend that you go through the various discussions within our Forum where experts who have been in SFI longer than I have and by virtue of their experience, answer questions and guide us. There are various categories that you can use to post your question when you feel you would like a wider perspective from other affiliates globally.

I am delighted that you are in my team as this gives me another challenge to mentor you and help you reach your goals. Welcome to my team and to SFI!

Follow up is basically a check on your affiliates and the progress, if any they are making. It enables you to understand them better and help them if they find any area that is complicated to understand. Sometimes affiliates shy away from asking questions in the belief that they will seem somewhat silly or inferior so a follow-up takes away that inhibition.

I use my Movers List to keep a daily check on my workers and when I find that someone has not logged in for more than 2 days, I see this as a necessary point in time to send out an e-card making sure that everything is okay and ask why the affiliate has not logged in for a few days. E-Cards are very useful.

This first e-card brings up the answer why the affiliate has not logged in and gives me an indication of any suggestions or answers I can provide to the cause of not being active. Secondly it ensures regular contact which is important to have so that you keep the affiliate motivated and not lose focus.

As I have found in the past, writing emails to affiliates brings up a certain amount of informal communication set up and affiliates respond to this positively - I bring up new developments and areas that the affiliate may not have had a chance to look at. It gives the affiliate something to do towards the business.

I like to keep lines of communications open so in most cases, I pass on my skype or personal telephone contact to the serious affiliates and this shows my seriousness towards their progress. Very often, phone messages are a quick way to encourage people. A good word, praise, appreciation and rewards should never be underestimated. It generally makes people feel good about what they are doing.

Some of you have been in SFI long enough to understand that when you join as a PSA, you also support another individual who is your CSA (Co-Sponsored Affiliate). Your CSA is someone else's PSA and this is why recently SFI has shown that CSAs are also important in our team.

The above link will give you a better idea of what you are required to accomplish to receive the CSA rewards. These are CSAs awarded to you (gratis) by SFI for many of your achievements which are not limited to but include:

a) Having a Standing Order of 1500 VP - you can earn 10 CSAs each month
b) Earn a bonus share for every 1000VP in your standing order (approximately 8-10 CSAs)
c) This example will clarify to you how many CSAs you can expect if you have a Standing Order of 1500 VPs, are a E365 Champion Bronze Team Leader.

i) 10 CSAs - SO of 1500 VPs
ii) 5 CSAs - E365 Champion
iii) 3 CSAs - Bronze Team Leader

That is already 18 new CSAs for some of the least requirements within SFI but when you check the SFI news links above, it will give you an in-depth account of how many more CSAs you can be rewarded.

This is great news for all of us. Remember CSAs also give us commissions and they are not to be taken lightly. One of my friends talked about her initial days in SFI when her CSAs were instrumental in keeping her afloat before she built her team of PSAs.

Let us support all our CSAs and build a team that inspires both PSAs as well as CSAs.

It is not difficult to convince someone to join SFI because it is a free program but we all know the reality of how the system works once you are in it. Your core business will be to recruit new affiliates but ensure at the same time that the people you recruit remain with you long-term. Therefore your aim is not only to recruit but to make sure that the people you recruit believe in the program strongly to stay with you and support your initiative long term.

You can adopt methods that should not make it a forceful decision.

- try holding small workshops with groups of friends who share the same interests
- give away gift cards at social gatherings
- keep your business cards handy so you can distribute them at any time
- join fairs and expo's which allow you to distribute flyers and sign up people immediately
- have promotional items to give away with your gateway joining links printed on them
- invest some money in advertising your products that are sold on TripleClicks
- request friends to add your gateway links to their social groups and offer discounts on products if you own an ECA; this is a good way to promote both the TripleClicks site and your ECA

Integrate both SFI and TripleClicks together as it will be easier to get them to convert to becoming an affiliate. It is important for you to understand that SFI works hand in hand with TripleClicks. One cannot work without the other therefore you would be better guided to add some interest to shop - who does not like to shop!

Look around you, the major companies and multinationals all have one major product that they are well known for but they have many accessories (other products/services) that they minor in - to diversify. I believe this is the key to your bottom line remaining healthy. I will explain this further in relation to your question and SFI.

1. Recruiting Affiliates (who will remain active)

If you believe that building a team is your core business then you would focus on this area ensuring that the affiliates you sponsor will be active once they join your team. There is no guarantee that if you enrol 15 affiliates daily, all will become active.

There is a possibility that 10 might become active immediately and then stop after 2 months or 2 will become active instantly and remain with you consistently or that none will become active until after 2 years.

These are common behaviors of new affiliates who join this program and then decide it was not for them. You can work with this uncertainty to your advantage or decide diversify into TripleClicks. Alternatively, you devote all your energy into duplication, sponsoring and supporting your affiliates and remain positive that you will, with certainty live up to your goals and achieve the expected results within the time frame that you have outlined.

2. Sell TripleClicks Products

This is an area where you have a lot of certainty with regard to increasing your customer base and your results are tangible within a short period of time. By this, I mean that if you have 10 customers and they all order products every month, you have a guaranteed income. Of course, it may be that in one month 5 customers will place an order but the income is there.

Therefore if you understand both the scenarios, why would you not want to diversity and not work with both income streams. If one area is slow, then the other area will complement it and earn better results.

I would like to believe that you can work both simultaneously - the potential for growth is in your hands.

We all know that this is an independent business involving people from various cultural and social backgrounds. It requires commitment, dedication and a passion to pursue your goals.

PSAs (Personally Sponsored Affiliates) are people. For those of us who are still not sure who our PSAs are. PSAs are individuals in your First Level you will join in your team through your various advertising methods and personal gateways to help your business and support it.

From my experience, it is not practical to expect that all your PSAs you recruit will be active. The ones who will become active understand the program well, appreciate its potential and are therefore willing to invest their resources (time, efforts and finances) willingly. These are the kind of people you want in your team.

They:

1. Are highly motivated and therefore remain active unless there is a major problem
2. Understand long term commitment
3. May or may not have experience in online marketing or advertising
4. Follow the guidelines set out by SFI and take action
5. Are not afraid to take risks and invest in the business
6. Believe in and trust the system to help them earn online
7. Do not get affected by minor hurdles or major difficulties
8. Pursue their goals relentlessly without looking back

In a nutshell, they are focused (like a laser) and you will find them in your Movers List or in your Genealogy or contributing in the Forum. They are very visible because of their dedication and positive attitude.

Online marketing is no different from offline marketing where the common denominator is that you are talking to people. Sometimes we tend to get carried away and in our enthusiasm spend less time listening than talking but you can improve this trend using the following guidelines.

1. Inquire into the needs of your affiliates, what is important to them and this leads them to talk about themselves which gives you the chance to listen.

2. Engage in communications via skype, viber or other means where you can actually talk to them and this will give you the perfect chance to spend more time listening than talking.

3. Do not try too hard to probe or push your affiliates into divulging details about them that they may not be comfortable to give out. Give them time to open up to you. Build a rapport and this means listening to their requests.

4. More often than not, we need to back down if an affiliate expresses no interest in the business because this shows that you respect their wishes but remember also that in doing so you are giving them the opportunity to come back and start again. You may not think so at the time but this is very possible.

Listening is an art that needs to be developed, some of us when we start to speak, the conversation gets centered around one person and this must be avoided. Give the person a chance to speak! I have assumed in your question that you are talking and listening to SFI affiliates.
