As Sponsor it is your responsibility to know your PSA's.
Initial contact should be geared to the average new PSA
needing time to learn.
I initially advise all my new affiliates to take their time
the first week or so, to learn the website and all it has to offer.

You should be able to form an opinion on how much they need to learn,
based on their Profile (if completed)
and actions in how they approach their To-Do List.

A friendly, enthusiastic Welcome Email should be sent the day they sign up.
Follow with an Instructional Email a day or two later.
In your follow-up offer suggestions on how to approach becoming an
EA while learning.
Discuss, what to prepare for the following month.

Each PSA will be different and will require your Sponsorship accordingly.
Use the experiences you had when you first signed up to help guide

NO don't tell them to slow down at all.

When you tell them to slow down and save some free VP for their second month you are just delaying how soon they have to work their business hard to make it to EA. You give them an added excuse to not set up a standing order and you rob them of valuable CSA that could have their monthly income jump-started if they achieve BTL or above.

Fact is they wont save enough VP from month 1 to month 2 to qualify for EA2 without getting some results, and to make it your plan to get them to spend $10 buying Single T-credits to make up the difference is just teaching them to aim for the minimum all around.

When you do the minimum you get minimum results so teaching those bad habits could help discourage them where teaching them to invest in themselves and set a goal to cover the investment could motivate them to move mountains.

What do we want to reach when we join a site like SFI. We want to move forward and reach our goals.
Our first goal is to reach EA2 status. Tell the affiliate that must be there first goal. To get there they have to learn how it works in SFI. We can click every thing and reach high up on the ladder, but did we learn anything.

So I tell my PSAs that to reach high up on the Ladder, you first have to get to EA by doing your GETTING-STARTED ACTIONS. You can do all of this section.

Next you read all there is at the LAUNCHPAD section. Do not click for points, read and understand before moving to the next lesson.

Next you have to do your DAILY ACTIONS,MONTHLY ACTION and WEEKLY ACTIONS and with these sections you have to work out where you started at the month so to only reach your 1500 VP by the end of that first month.

Leave all the extra versapoints you can get for your second month. You will also tell that to your down line PSAs when you start to duplicate what you learned and what I told you. Your second month is when you reach EA2 and you learned how it works n SFI. You will then understand that you have to spend a lot of time, some money and know how to make it work.

After your second month you will either stay or quite SFI. If you learn it this way you might stay and then, who know how far you can go.

So to answer your question - DO NOT go for Team Leader n the first 2 months. First learn all the ins and outs of the game and then it is up to your PSAs to GO FOR IT. HE/SHE can then decide what there goals and limits are.

If you want your affiliates to become successful you should be pointing out to them that although it is very easy to make team leader in month one they are going to have to make a financial investment in month two and onwards until they build their active team up.

There is nothing worse than going all out in month one to get a high status only to find you have to spend a considerable amount of money if you want to retain your status, or they haven't the finances to retain their status.

Affiliates are more likely to become disillusioned with both their sponsor and SFI if they are not warned about moving up too fast.

In an ideal scenario the speed does not matter. After learning the business, the ideal would be that we all work at the same pace.

IF all work, then the speed does not matter.

However, in the real scenario, first you're struggling to keep leveling and consequently, and on the other you are trying to educate and motivate people who are under your line.

This as a laboratory where the results expected by trial and error are obtained.

The rate should go up and down according to the circumstances and the level of knowledge is gained about the business.

I believe that as long as the bottom line work, the speed does not matter.

Of course An active donwline is what each team leader wants. And Helping your PSA's to become Team leaders it's an incredible work. But there are points to observe:

Are your PSA's active?
If they are active and read and follow your advices you should tell them how to be Team leader only if they have a downline.

DO your PSA's have a donwline?
You can check if your PSA's have a downline. Is the downline active? Yes you can know because your active PSA will tell you. TO become a Team leader without a downline it's to waste time. You need to build a downline. Then at that moment you can tell your PSA to go for Leadership.

I am very sure you will recognise while your PSA needs to become a Team leader.
I strongly advice some of my PSA's to become Team leaders near the end of the month if I can see that there is a possibility to guide them to that status... butI only advice and guide the one that have a downline. Not All PSA's in the downline are active but you target the ones that have a potential of becoming downline and then see what is good for them.

Your new PSA does not need to hurry. If he can get all the benefits of Fast Track then you can follow him and advice when necessary to go for Team Leader.

Every person joins SFI as an " Independent Contractor" with a view to earn money and change their life style.

They join with lot of enthusiasm and hope.

As Sponsor we all should be very happy to have such wonderful people as our Team Members. Our growth depends on their growth. Our earning depends substantially depends on their efforts and abilities..

We are here to:

2. Encourage;
3. Assist;
4. Motivate &
5. Inspire them

so that they will continue to do better and better and become the best. In the process what will happen?

They will become Team Leaders quickly!! This is truly wonderful and amazing!!

Not every one in SFI business becomes so successful and leaders quickly!! They put in their best efforts and act on a day to day basis with lot of zeal. As Sponsors we should continue to guide them in the right direction, basing ourselves only on the various training and support materials being provided by the SFI Management.

The more we do, we can see progress for everyone in the Team and we can keep growing together continuously.

As Gery says, SFI Business is very simple. We should not complicate it.

From my experience, PSA that qualified as Team Leaders too quickly faded out very fast once they failed to meet the expectation and requirement of that position. However, I do not encourage nor do I encourage them to be Team Leaders very quickly.

My advise to my PSA upon joining is to get familiarize inside out with the business, then to start recruiting people. You need to be at the right footing before you become a Team Leader. This is important because once you are a Team Leader, you can expect a lot of questions from your downline and you need to be able to answer to those questions quickly and correctly. If you can do that, then only you are able to portray yourself as a leader.

Your advise to your PSA is to get prepared to be a Team Leader and once they are prepared then only encourage them to be a Team Leader.

This is a tricky question. One I too have thought about. I used to think that the best way to go was slow and steady, but, I have found that after a while of going EA2 and not getting any further ahead in business people have got turned off with the business and walked off.

So, I think if you can get your PSAs upto Bronze or STL quickly, whereby they at least have a hope of getting some working CSAs under them, they might be tempted to stay and start to build the business as they are getting some results.

I think going further than that unless, as a Sponsor you are ready to put some working PSAs under them ...could be a turn off as well, because they will be investing quite a bit in their business each month and not get enough reward for it. Besides they also need time to learn the business ...so I think it would be best if you let them go upto BTL or STL and then let them take time to learn and grow with the business under them. :)
