1. You want to guide your PSA the best way possible so they can develop their system and business. By doing this you get benefits and that is how you earn here.
Ideally the same logic is transferred down your generations.
And again, you benefit from it.
That is called duplication.
2. If you do not do that, and your team members do not do that...! The duplication process can last very long and the income would not be significant . And not to mention that you can lose your TL status if your downline asses that you are not doing a good job as a leader.

PSAs, CSAs and Commission: Your Bottom Line

PSAs are your personally sponsored affiliates. These are the people you recruit, and they will be the most valuable members of your team. You earn 45% of commission value on everything they purchase at TripleClicks. They are also the ones who will build a team of their own - and their whole team will be part of your downline. If you earn and maintain a position as a Team Leader (Bronze or above), you will earn matching VP points on everyone EA2 (or higher) in your downline. This is where you can make big money. If you recruit active PSAs who build a good team beneath them, they are gold. (You should reward them for it, too!)

You can get PSAs by purchasing them at TripleClicks (packs of 15, 30, 45, 70, 150, 250 or 500), joining the S-Builder Co-op, or winning them at Pricebenders penny auctions. However, the most valuable PSAs are the ones you recruit yourself. There are lots of ways to recruit people. CSAs are co-sponsored affiliates. These people are also extremely valuable. You won't make any money from their downline, but you will earn 15% of commission value from everything they purchase at TripleClicks. If you are a Team Leader (Bronze or above), you will also earn matching VP on your CSAs.

You can get CSAs by winning Pricebender penny auctions, winning daily drawings, or by maintaining Executive Affiliate (or higher) status. EAs receive a minimum of two CSAs, which Team Leaders earn many more than that. These are awarded the month following your qualification.

CSAs can be very valuable. However, if you do not maintain at least an EA status (1500 VP for the month), you will lose all your CSAs. Don't let that happen!

The best way to avoid this is to set up a standing order for at least 1500 VP per month, so you will not risk losing these valuable assets. The most common standing orders are for IAHBE, which costs $29.95 a month, or a 125 TCredit Pak for $36.25. Both of these will give you the required 1500VP to remain an EA, but the TCredit pack can give you a bonus of up to125 action VP for the month when you bid on Pricebenders, and up to 625 MRP points as well.

As you grow your business, getting CSAs and active PSAs will continue to increase your income. You want to support these members of your team, help them out when they need it, and encourage them to build their own teams. I think that the matching VP commissions you can earn from these members of your team is well worth the investment of a standing order to make sure you don't lose any team members.

This is an interesting question.
Before I answer this question, I would like to liken taking Leadership role by team members to becoming a parent. It is the joy of every parent to see his/her child/children grow to become parent.
Likewise, in this business, it is one's joy when you see your team member taking leadership role. It means he/she is fully ready to be committed to the business. He/she is also growing.
Apart from the joy, you derive some benefits of earning matching versapoints from the members of your team members.
If he/she is your PSA, when he becomes a Team Leader, you earn additional Versapoints, 150, 200,250, 300 AVPs which might change your own level.
That is where residual income comes in.

To answer you question, think of it as being a prerequisite to getting people (in this case your downline) to do what you are doing. If you are an EA, then you'd at least want your downline members to strive for the rank of EA.

As an EA, you'll need to know and understand the business as much as you can. One of your roles as a team member would, then, be to elevate everyone below you to a higher level of commitment for obvious reasons -- namely, in order to get to the higher level, they must work the program, accumulate VersaPoints, and in doing so, your team becomes pro-active, thus increasing the overall productivity of the team.

It is important for your business.
When your team members gain leadership status it benefits you extremely well.
You receive extra AVP and that can hep you gain a higher leadership rank. It increases your commissions and it increases your down line.
Remember that you earn commissions up to the 12th level in your down line, depending on your leadership rank.
Therefore, encourage your EA's to become team leaders, not only for your benefit but for theirs as well.

Thirdly, it gives room for growth. Leaders are matured and have the stamina to undergo challenges and win. they also have the man power to direct and help unify their team together, understanding them and training them
Fourthly, when you raise your team members into the leadership role, you reduce the level of followership to responsibilities i.e you don't need to run around to tell them to do their to do lists. they already know their job statements, what it involves and how to run without literally your supervision or sponsorship. these ones understand the task ahead and most times do not need incentives to work. They know the work, understand it and go for the benefits thereof. they are the ones that will go for investment and be highly committed to the business, do adverts and read the training articles and every information necessary for the team's progress.

Everyone here is eventually going to have affiliates of his or her own, and when it comes time to train those affiliates, the only option is to become a leader. In SFI, if you can't lead, teach, and train, you will never get the commitment you need from your affiliates, and in the process your greatest opportunities will die on the vine, whether you're sticking to just the "Ultra-Simple Method" or expanding outward with your own ECA store. After all, your affiliates' success is your success, so leading them reaps big rewards.

People are naturally more motivated when they have a stake and can lead their own group. Leaders are not followers.

As a leader, you expect that your team will grow. Your team members have started building their teams and you will become an up line through generations and as you know, duplication is the game in SFI.

It beneficial when you team members take leadership roles and you can focus on new affiliates and CSAs and teach them to also take leadership roles.
