I believe your personal sponsor is your best mentor and coach as well as your Co- sponsor but if you feel that you dont quite connect with them or they dont offer much support when you need it, i believe you are free to approach anybody to be your mentor. The best way to find a mentor is to establish a direct communications with your uplines up to 12th level. They are much there to help you. But if you are not convinced of them, you can proceed to the FORUM, lots of active affiliates are interacting and sharing very helpful ideas and strategies there. You can also select the top authors in this ASK SC page and request them to become your A2A friend where you can request for help. Your best mentors are as follows:-
(a) Go to FORUM read all the posts.
(b) Go to ASK SC and read the various answers and ask questions if you have any.
(c) Make friends in A2A by looking at their Streak months(more the better),
exchange notes, queries and questions from them through E-mail.
(d) Get back to the LAUNCHPAD again and again to refresh/remind you of the things
you ought to do/missed out.

Your sponsor co-sponsor should be your mentor, however, in SFI this is not always the case. In fact, its a matter of luck and chance! Nonetheless, we need someone to give that little push, to guide, to praise and to encourage us further. Therefore, my suggestion is that you search the plethora of avenues where you can communicate with others.

For example, there is The Forum, A2A, and Affiliates in your own country. Contact any member of your upline, not just sponsor or co-sponsor.

As newbies we tend to look for persons who are successful in the business to guide us to become as equally successful as they are. At this time, we look to our sponsors and co-sponsors for such guidance. But one thing we must always remember is that these persons may also be newbies themselves and are trying to learn the ropes. Your sponsor should be your mentor. Sadly, many of us SFI members know what it is like to have a nonresponsive sponsor, so the equivalent of no mentor. Then we do as you are asking, find our own mentor.

The first place to look is your Upline. Respond to team mails/weekly mailings you receive from any of your Upline. Tell them you are looking for a mentor and would they be willing to help you. Judge on their response (if they respond) and go from there.

This is a very interesting question. I say so because the entire business of SFI revolves around mentoring. Credible mentoring is in the entire gamut of the business because everyone is an affiliate in their individual capacities and we are all involved in the business. We all have sponsors.

A good question to ask here is, why search anywhere else for mentors when your sponsors and your entire up-line which is about 6 layers up is there, ready, able and willing to help you out at all times?

The best mentor would be your sponsor and uplines. They can share their leadership experience in building a team, their expertise in dealing with affiliates needs depending on their situation. It seems that it is a common occurrence about sponsors not responding to their PSAs needs. This could be due to some reasons like sponsor is also new to SFI or sponsors who have large downlines doing all the work in team building and so on.
