The beauty about SFI is that there is mentorship all over the place.

The first point of mentorship is your sponsor. It is a sponsors responsibility to learn all that he/she can and pass it on to their PSA's. However, this isn't the case all the time; because a sponsor cannot teach what he/she doesn't know.

As a result of this are assigned Co-Sponsors that also offers mentorship to their CSA's. If you have a sponsor that is not reaching out to you; you can also reach out to your co-sponsors for mentorship.

Another way to get help is by using ASK SC. This is one of the tools that I myself love to use. There is so much information that you can learn here from what others are asking and sharing in order to grow your business

A2A- You can also learn from your A2A friends. Personally this is one to the place that I get my motivation from.

And most of all you can learn a lot from attending what I call the SFI school for success. SFI is fairly simple and straight forward. There is a wealth of information here. SFI has provide us with training materials and resources that is very vital in growing our business.

As far as I can see you've got a lot of answers to your question and you can easily apply the information included in them. Still, although I haven't read all of them, there seems to be one thing missing in those that I have read:

YOUR COUNTRY LEADER!

We may not always be lucky enough to join under an active Sponsor/Co-sponsor and our upline need not have to be the most helpful either. However, making A2A friends with your Country Leader may be far more rewarding. His/her being the leader means that the person is active at SFI, most probably they now some interesting ins and outs, and they have certainly tried a few methods or ways to work with SFI.

To find your Country Leader easily, go to your SCOREBOARD, then click "See Power Rank Leaderboard" in the Power Rank section, and then select "Country" from the drop-box over the second column of photos.

I think he/she will be more than glad to help her fellow country man.

The best mentors would be your sponsor and co-sponsor. I believe many of them make good mentors. However many sponsors and co-sponsors maybe unresponsive and the affiliate concerned is having a hard time trying to grasp the fundamentals of SFI business. Listed below are the different methods in finding a mentor who can guide the new affiliate.

YOUR SPONSOR
Ideally your sponsor is the best person as your mentor. Your sponsor usually gets in touch with you for the first time through the welcome letter. He/she might see you online and connect with you on a ‘live’ chat. If your sponsor is not responsive you can make an attempt to contact him or her via email. Ask whatever questions you have to clear your doubts. A responsible sponsor keeps the communication going at least once a week via stream post, email, PSA mailer, genealogy group mailer etc. If all attempts to contact your sponsor fails then you have to look for another mentor.

YOUR CO-SPONSOR
Similar to your sponsor, your co-sponsor shares in the financial benefits and support responsibilities of the affiliates to whom he/she is assigned as the co-sponsor. Your co-sponsor can supplement your sponsor as your mentor. If your sponsor is not responsive you can rely on your co-sponsor as your mentor. Co-sponsors can be just as knowledgeable or even better than your sponsor. Communication can be via steam, email, CSA mailer, genealogy group mailer etc. Your co-sponsor will usually take the lead in contacting you and offer their assistance.

YOUR UPLINE
As an SFI affiliate your are part of a team with mutual goals and objectives. This is where your upline support comes in. Each of your upline team members have vested interest in your success and stands ready to assist you in your SFI business. Besides your sponsor and co-sponsors the rest of your upline members can be your mentor too.

A2A
Linking via a2a is also a good way to find a mentor. A2A allows you to identify mentors in your own country. The advantage of a2a is it provides localized assistance. By selecting a mentor in your area you can learn about the best marketing methods and strategies for your region of the world.

FORUM
The forum itself can be a mentor. You can tap the expertise of so many experienced affiliates. The forum history provides a good source of answers to many of your questions.

ASK SC AUTHORS
Ask SC has a rich bank of excellent answers for you questions. Connecting with these authors is a good way of finding a mentor. The ASK SC answers are very good references for many of the common questions SFI affiliates often ask.

Finding a mentor is easy from the above sources. SFI is full of experienced affiliates who could give a strong support and build a cohesive team.

The first thing is that your SFI business is full of mentorship.
Your mentors in the business could come from the following sources:
1. Your sponsor is the most important mentor as because he has a vested interest for you to succeed. If they are a good sponsor you will have all the help you need to succeed. You could also ask for help and you should get it or be pointed in the right direction.

There are several ways to find a mentor for SFI.

The first mentor you have is your Sponsor and Co-sponsor. They are there to help and support you to progress in your SFI business by sharing their methods with you through their daily, weekly and monthly messages. And if you notice that your Sponsor and CO-Sponsor have not been sending you messages, you can send them messages and ask them questions.

You can also get good mentor through A2A. As a member of A2A, you will meet people from all over the world that are SFI affiliate. You can send a friend request to people you notice that are doing well in SFI. And through A2A, you can ask them questions and they will be ready to assist or support you.

You can also get a good mentor through the SFI forum, there you meet people with different ideas and methods. You can start a forum dicussion by asking your question and people will start sharing their ideas and methods with you immediately. Having a mentor is good but having a good mentor is a must. Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen and a push in the right direction that is what I do believe.

If you ask me about the biggest mentor in the SFI is our Forum where you can have all the intellectuals and scholars together. So, our Forum is the biggest mentor in SFI.

A mentor should be the one who can give you the ideas and ways to progress and guide you safely and confidently in the system. A mentor should be able to share his positive thoughts and energize at the time of negativism. I always get such positive energy whenever I need positive energy and real and good solutions for my questions from our Forum. Hence, for me, the SFI Forum is the biggest and the only mentor in SFI.

In short, having a mentor is like this. The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves. In a battery, I strive to maximize electrical potential. When mentoring, I strive to maximize human potential.

The best way to find a mentor for SFI is to look for a qualified person in your SFI upline and approach them with your request.

There are numerous other SFI affiliates not in your upline who are qualified to be your mentor, but remember, they may already have a group of affiliates they are providing mentorship to, so taking on another person from outside of their personal team may be a challenge.

So, I say it is best to find someone in your SFI upline. That way, they will be more motivated to help you and will want to see you succeed.

Try to learn more about each one: check their badges; observe their activity in places like the Stream posts, A2A, the SFI Forum, Pricebenders, etc. Send them a message asking them for advice, guidance, information, or whatever, and see how they respond (or even IF they respond).

When you get a good feeling about one of them, ask them if they would take you under their wing and mentor you personally.

That's my recommendation for finding a mentor for SFI.

To start with your strides in the SFI business is very commendable and impressive, but since you feel you still need a mentor, this is a good sign. The best way to choose a mentor for yourself is go to SFI Power Rank Leaderboard of the entire affiliates and that of your country, look for the affiliate whose achievements impressed you most, click on his/her names and send an a2a friendship request to him/her. When he/she responds, you can then write to make you intention to choose him/her as your SFI mentor.
Another way is through ASK SC answers, you can find out who gave the most impressive answer, click on their name and send an a2a friendship request and continue as afore mentioned.

Look at who else is in your upline. STL, GTL, PTL. Have a look at their leadership page, do they have a co-op, what advice do they give. Contact them personally, add them on A2A, see if they are on the forum. Read their posts, reply, join the conversation. Show your interest, take up their points and ask further questions.

A mentor is looking for someone to mentor, a protégé. There is someone up there who is looking for you, looking for someone like you to pass knowledge to and to give assistance and advice to.

What qualifies someone as a mentor? Their time and knowledge in the business. How many years have they been doing this? What is their VP streak, EA streak, what badges have they earned? Are they the kind of SFI-er you want to become? A role model as well as a mentor!

And remember the ultimate mentor in SFI is Gery himself, the reason we are all here :)

If, neither of these helps you, (or proves suitable for your style), then some suggest for you to look at the FORUM, or even using A2A friends etc..... or the 'upline sponsors'...

My personal view is that ASK SC tab provides endless questions, and hundreds of answers - all from experienced and knowledgeable Affiliates.
(I've found that source of knowledge - very helpful to gain more understanding of the SFI system)....

In fact, SFI is full of information just waiting to be studied, at your own pace
and whenever you have the time..... (that to me could be the type of mentoring you need). !

I recommend you - Read, Read, and read (Gery's Rules for Success being the first one to study) and then, read some more...... and see you at the top !
