Well this is a challenging task. I have since realized that unless they desire it for themselves, there is very little one can do to get them to stay on. You can send all the streams, post encouragement messages on your blog (leadership page;send team mail but if they still haven't found the importance of being entrepreneurs and dont have it in them; there is very little you can do. bear in mind that not everybody is business oriented. One slight challenge and they give up.

Determination, passion, and desire to succeed in business is intrinsic,though some may be motivated by external factors to stay on e.g hardships may propel someone to desire to work hard until they see benefits and improve their standard of living;whilst on the other hand for some, hardship just spells out doom and throwing in the towel. We are diverse and respond differently to different situations but to a larger extent being consistent mostly comes from within! the right word is resilience; and its not everybody who has it.

Hi Ben,
I believe you can simply invite your affiliates to connect with you on the social networks you have mentioned: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn etc. That way you can be able to interact more on issues related to SFI business and share ideas to succeed as a team.
You can also start a thread on one of SFI issues which they could participate in.

Interesting question but at the same time challenging in the sense that though some of your affiliate have signed up; they probably have regular jobs and cannot dedicate as much time to their SFI business as they would love to; and that does not necessarily mean that they do not take "SFI business realistically, like a real business". However all that being said and done you could probably do the following :

- share your SFI success stories ( testimonies); this will enable them to see ht there are gains in SFI and they might desire to emulate you; in other words be a role model; model excellence, dedication, commitment, passion etc and it will permeate and rub off on them hopefully. I have a co-sponsor who is so passionate about this business; its so contagious and i cant help but desire to work as hard and be as successful.

- be genuine in the way you communicate with them and consistent; but at the same time not overbearing; if its too much it becomes irritating and looses meaning.

- come up with contests and honor them.reward even average attempts, not just giant leaps. I have personally transferred T-credits to some of my affiliates to reward performance e.g when one had re-qualified to EA.

- Use you leadership page effectively and high-light new developments. Check on those who are inactive once in a while; Just asking if there was anything you could do to help, if they are okay or having a challenge sometimes will get you some response; except where maybe there is a language barrier.

- The bottom line is that: you can use all strategies you can think of and still have the same results because commitment to a business is an individual decision which has to come from within. You may do all that you can and still end up with inactive affiliates. Until they make a personal choice to be committed & they themselves visualize and see long term benefits in the business ; am sorry to say your efforts may still not bare fruit.

I think it depends on a couple of factors e.g How financially stable you are yourself and if you could afford to do it lest you end up stretching yourself thin. SFI is meant to improve our lives not to render us worse off so i would say :
1. the best way you could support your hard working PSA & CSA would probably be transferring some TCredits to them to enable them to participate in auctions and earn VPs in the process whilst at th same time they stand the chance of bidding for the resources that they need to support their business such as the S-builder units, PSAs, CSAs; gift cards and so on.

2. Secondly, You could set up an S-builder co-op unit without expecting your PSA/CSA to contribute financially to advertising then allocate the sign-ups from that to your down-line as they are financially challenged to contribute towards its expenses; this will be the greatest financial support which i believe your down-line will very much appreciate.

I believe that SFI is the best self-empowered programme in the world. Its self-sufficient power-house as it has everything that you need to build your business if you have a non-responsive sponsor. Everything you need is provided, You just need to make use of it e.g launchpad, SFI basics,FAQs, ASC and the forum. You have all the powerful tools you need at your finger tips including the a2a and help-desk support team wherein you could just submit a ticket if you get stuck . At the forums you can just pose a question and the whole SFI comes to your rescue. A sponsor is just there to offer some kind of support if you cant seem to find something you are looking for, but otherwise if you study enough, read a lot and participate in forums you will get the kind of support you deserve which your sponsor is unable to provide. All you need is to invest time to learn and apply all that you have learnt.

This is an interesting and at the same time challenging question.This is my attempt in responding to it the best way i possibly can:
1. I believe family and friends form part of your warm market and therefore are accessible to you; especially if you have seen the good benefits of being in SFI marketing and want them to benefit from it the same way and improve their standard of living as well.
2. You will be bound by family and friendship ties to support them extensively and/or push them to succeed in the business as failure will have implications and may put a strain on your relationships.
3.I believe it is okay to introduce the business to them but they have to understand that the success of the business will depend entirely on their commitment; failing which their business may not produce the desired outcome ( in which case they should not turn around and blame you; as any kind of business investment one takes risks).
4. so to answer you in short I believe It is a good idea, though it may turn out to be not such a good idea if they do not work hard and/or expect to earn income quickly.

I believe that the kind of support you offer your affiliates does not necessarily have to be financial; especially in a case where you do not have enough yourself. So in that case just being there for them to offer guidance; mentor and motivate them to perform their daily, weekly and monthly tasks will be enough.

However if you believe you want to do more than just coaching; and you have an S-builder co-op a you could re-assign your new sign-ups to your hard-working down-line to support them; that will be the biggest support ever.

This is an interesting question.
I have since realized that it one cannot get an affiliates to do anything unless they desire it themselves. But all the same sending motivational messages and posting on your leadership page might influence one or two to respond and engage in communication with you.
Some affiliates hold regular jobs and have hectic schedules with very little time for their homepage; hence every time they get an opportunity they tend to want to focus on their daily actions and building their business than converse as such they interact very minimally with their up-line. I personally have only three affiliates who always respond to my messages or acknowledge having read my team mail; stream or blog. The rest don't, but that shouldn't discourage you and I from offering continued support and sharing tips and how as a team we could improve our performance; Because though some never write back, am positive that they do benefit from what you share with them and appreciate your coaching and mentorship... as long as we don't re-invent the wheel, lets keep on keeping on.

Hi,
I believe the only way you can get your a2a friends to offer you positive support is if you contact them to ask for support and assistance on an issue or challenge that you may be experiencing. I have found that when I send a message to a specific a2a friend I always receive positive feedback. I have since realized that a2a is made of very supportive people. But generally i use my a2a friends for moral support and networking; We discuss our business performance and how we have managed to stay on, as for most of the challenging issues i submit a ticket to HELP-DESK. Some of the a2a friends even volunteer advice and assistance by marketing my ECA; sharing ideas on how i can improve my store, as well as sending messages to celebrate with me/ congratulating me on my efforts whenever i win something... some things they do without me contacting them at all.
So my advice is that if you want your a2a friends to offer you support and assistance; offer them the same your self, when they post on Forums take part in their discussions; participate in things that matter to them; they will do the same for you. write to them as well because "Unless you say it, they will not know" that you need their support.

Great question,
This is what i personally do. Because i receive PSAs at different dates and times i send them
and E-card followed by a personalized welcome mail, at times i just write a welcome message on the E-card.
But when its a group of them arriving at the same time e.g 15 PSAs from a co-op, I then send a uniform e-mail to all of them at once because it can be time-consuming to write a different e-mail to each one of them; after all the e-mail will be containing similar information about what to do as new members; How to get started on SFI.
