SFI has evolved in the recent years into having a language Translate for her website. A prospect can see the translate button just at the bottom of the page. I will suggest making an SFI video for the prospect if he/she is far away from your present location.

SFI has up to 90 languages on the homepage translate button, this is a clear assurance that your prospect would have no problem navigating the SFI home page. All they need do is pick their language and they continue to operate the site in their own language

Also, to further convince them that SFI is for all languages, you can show off your genealogy with affiliates from their own region and other countries. And reassigning them to an affiliate from their location, would make them feel easy, as their new sponsor would be able to communicate with them in their own language. Help them understand they would continue to receive your total support upon reassigning. And remember to state that would receive PSAs from their region each time they qualify has at least EA2 in a month.

Also, you can show in the videos that SFI now support native languages in the "My Region" and "My Country" sub-forums at the SFI Forum, for example. The SFI system also supports non-Western alphabets and characters in the PSA Mailer, CSA Mailer, and TeamMail; and affiliates can choose among e-cards in multiple languages. A gift card could go a long way to attracting them despite the language barrier. Your gift is enough communication between both of you as they would know that if this could be offered then their is more ahead for them. They can always participate in all SFI activities once they have their home page translated into their language. Try opening a chat with them and test you translation skills with them.

Speaking English is certainly helpful but not speaking it should not rob one of an opportunity!

It is understandable that in most areas of work, speaking the official language of that industry or organisation is important, in order to ensure that mistakes or accidents do not happen as a result of misunderstanding or communicating the wrong message.

However, SFI is largely an Internet based program, where the affiliates are free to learn at their own pace. Language should not be a barrier because although the website is in English, there is also a translation tool for many other languages. The key word here is “understand.” That is as long one can translate and understand, one can adequately establish a working platform.

Last year, SFI introduced a system in which one could swap CSAs from his or her team who are from other languages/countries for those from his or her language/country. The idea is not merely aimed at getting rid of your inactive CSAs but also helps to narrow down the communication problems by placing the CSAs under a under Co-sponsor who speaks the same language.

In addition it is also possible for you to re-assign affiliates in your team to other PSAs under you. So if you have active PSAs in your team who are multi-lingual, you can re-assign the non-English speaking PSAs to them depending on the languages spoken.

Overall, when you advertise, you will be reaching people from all parts of the world and language should not hinder you from making progress

This is really a tall order if English is your language and they do not speak English and you do not speak their language. I would say that if they join your team, reassign them as soon as possible to one of your team members who speaks that persons language.

If you speak that persons language but they do not speak English, continue to communicate with that person in your common language - that one that you both understand.

Reassure them that they will succeed in SFI and that SFI is actually a very simple business to operate once they understand it well. And in order for them to understand it well, if they join SFI you will be their sponsor. And as their sponsor you will help them understand the business. You will be their biggest supporter, coach and mentor.

You can tell them about the fact that there are many non English speakers and people in SFI to whom English is a second language. SFI and its members are good and generous people who do their best to help those who struggle with the English language. We have discussion forums for the major languages, countries and regions. You can also point out that all messages and texts can be translated to their language using online translators. In fact all the pages of the SFI website can be translated into their language simply by clicking the translate button at the bottom of the page and selecting their language.

Reassure them that the fact that they do not speak English should only be a minor consideration in their decision to join SFI and work with you.

How can I convince people who do not speak English to join SFI and work with me?

I see you are Serbian and that you list your primary language as “other”. Perhaps you already know more ways than I to do this. But I have spent over 30 years in Papua New Guinea so I have some experience in communicating with people who do not speak English or whose primary language is not English.

Whatever your native language is you can obviously speak/write that with any other people who also speak the same language. So I presume you are talking about how do you communicate with people who speak a native language that you don’t speak and who also do not speak English?

I think there are two things you can say to them.

1. English IS the most widely used language in the world for business purposes. In my experience most people do at least want to learn English because they see the advantages that will give them.

So the first thing you can “sell them on” is that if they were to join SFI they would have an opportunity to learn to speak English and to improve their English. While at the same time building a worldwide residual income business.

And that SFI has the tools to translate English into their native language.

2. The second thing is even more convincing I think. You can tell them about your team (presumably you are wanting them to sign up under you) that is made up of people from all over the world. For instance my team comprises affiliates from over 40 different countries.

And tell them that you can help them in two ways: -

You can reassign them under an affiliate in your team who does speak their native language.

And they can make a2a Friends with people who do speak their native language.

These things should be enough to convince them that SFI is for EVERYONE and that they can do very well in SFI.

My suggestion is to try communicating with those who do not speak English in their own language, at least initially, until you have taught them how to use the translation tool on the SFI site.

Try using a tool like Google Translate when preparing your emails (the one on the SFI site appears to be a branded version of Google Translate, so it will work the same, but I usually prepare my emails outside of SFI, and the in-house translator does not appear in the team email window).

Just be careful when you do this.

My practice is to write my message, translate it into whatever language I need, then copy and past the resulting translation into the FROM box (on the left in Google Translate), and have it translated back into English, to make sure my message is getting across. Sometimes I have to adjust the wording so the message does not get lost in translation!

Your message to them should be that you are willing to work with them to make sure they understand what they are doing, even if that means you have to spend time translating until they get the hang of things.

If you already have an established team member who speaks their language, you can help both of them by re-assigning them. Just make sure they understand why you are doing it.

I don’t think it is a matter of convincing, rather understanding and creating a close
communication or relationship . English is a wide spoken language and you will
be surprised by how many countries are spoken around the world.

The first thing I always do when I get sign up is checking their primary language on my
Notification, and 9 out of 10 times they put their primary language English even if they
Are not from primary English speaking countries.

Before I discover this, in the past, means when I was not looking what their primary
Language was, I used to just look where they are from and translate my welcome letter
In their own native language and send it to them, but if it happened to be I get them in
Instant message, I write them in English and they respond me back in English and few
Ask me back, how I wrote them in their language and they appreciate on that.

They tell me their English is not that good , but I see them write very well, I just give them
Encouragement to build their confidence.

You also have many options, for one you can use a translator, we virtually have every
Native language to communicate with, it is just a matter of time consuming, but if we
Make a difference in their life and build our team that shouldn’t matter.

You can also assign them to their native language speaker, but ask their permission first.
If you are a great sponsor to them , they want to stay with you and don’t want to switch,

This is a nice question and I do hope I would be able to help.

SFI is an online business that has over 203 countries that participate in the business on a daily basis and I am pretty sure that their country are amongst these countries.We can start by sending them a list of countries participating in the SFI business or arrange to meet them and show them the list of countries participating.

We all know that communication is very important and based on our approach to prospective, we can either encourage them to join or let them down by not being helpful.

As a good sponsor, we always need to tackle issues as they come. That said, when we use different form of advertisement and we get some sign ups which might be people whose Primary Language is not English, we can use Google Translators. Using it, we can write the message we want to send to them and put it on Google Translators to translate the mail into the preferred Language of the prospect. This in exchange will give our prospects a sense of belonging and willingness to join our team.

To butteress the point above, when he has joined your team, you can link him to the Country Leader of his Country so that he will be able to communicate freely and does not feel alone.

Alternatively, you can be fortunate to have an affiliate in your team that is from the same country with your new PSA. You can re assigned such PSAs to your active affiliate to help build his team and develop rapport with the new PSA to prevent such affiliates from becoming inactive.

In summary, communication is very important when trying to convince a prospect who does not speak your language to join your team. This is where you apply wisdom by using Google Translators to help initially, Transfering such affiliates if they have joined your team to other active PSAs that are of the same country and linking them to Country Leaders to help them progress in their business.

You can convince people who do not speak English to join SFI and work with you by giving them a lot of examples. How to do it? Tell them about SFI Team leaders who achieved high statuses with very little knowledge of English or not knowing it at all!

Have a list of people who do not know English but succeeded in SFI doing SFI business locally with too many enrollments just by targeting potential SFI affiliates on the local basis. Also, people do not need to know English to engage local business owners to join SFI ECA program.

Find links with testimonials of successful SFI Team Leaders and present it to them. Open a debate on SFI Forum. I am convinced that many SFI members will post their stories. You can use that link to present stories of all that people who joined SFI without knowingEnglish.

At the end, there is translator built-in in the every SFI page and great possibility to learn or improve someone's English by doing SFI work.
