Your home business with SFI and TripleClicks depends on how well you can learn about Internet marketing and then how successful you are at passing the knowledge on to your teammates in your down-lines.

I really enjoy teaching other people to do things they have not done before or to teach them better ways to do what they have always done. SFI helps me to satisfy that enjoyment by being able to teach my newly arriving affiliates and also helping others in our forum.

I do not believe there is any greater thrill than watching someone you have taught how to do something excel in their work and even pass you up. The rewards are life changing for the student and teacher alike.

To be able to teach and share knowledge with others (train others) you first must obtain the knowledge you want to share. That process is called “learning.” What I love about SFI is you can earn while you learn.

As soon as you learn (student) a new technique or strategy you should prove it to yourself that it will work as you learned it. Once you are satisfied with the results you then can share (teaching) that with your teammates. As long as you are one step ahead of your teammates you are teaching them the way to go.

Learning and teaching (and in that order) is what will take you to the top of the success ladder with SFI and TripleClicks.

One key to success is NEVER attempt to teach something that you know nothing about. So many times someone that is inexperienced in a particular subject will try and teach someone else how to do it only to miserably fail. Doing this will cause your teammates to distrust you.

If you do not know something your teammates has asked you about – be upfront with them and tell them you don’t know but you will do all you can to find someone who can give me the right information and I will get right back with you.

Remember to teach simplicity – our business thrives on “duplication” so you don’t want to make things too complicated for your teammates to learn.

Learn – then Teach – equals profits for all concerned.

A student learns and then imparts the knowledge to others to become a teacher. Therefore when you join SFI, you are a student but a good student becomes an excellent one with continuous learning and developing skills that will be useful as a teacher.

As a Student:-

- read and go over the lessons that your teacher (SFI) has taught you;
- it is not good enough to just read, understand what you are reading;
- ask questions when you do not understand anything - the Forum is here for that;
- finally act on what you have been taught;
- take a step further and do your own research - there is a lot of learning on the world wide web

As a Teacher:-

- your role becomes even more important because you have to teach your class of students who come from different backgrounds;
- when you as a student understand what you are doing, then you can impart that knowledge to your students;
- you are bound to get smart and the not so smart students - do not give up on any of them
- as a teacher, your role as an educator becomes crucial to the development of your students so do not get impatient with them;
- do not expect your students to understand the simple things - they maybe simple for you so take time to ensure that they really follow - if they do not, ask them to repeat what you have said. This will clarify any doubts;

Even when you reach the level of being a teacher, your role as a student continues. Learning never ends.

Ideally a new affiliate should start learning SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD on his/her very first day. It is very important to first establish on the right foundation before moving on further in journeying with SFI. I always recommend to my new affiliates not to leave these SFI core business principles until they completely understand them. They won’t become successful teachers if they don’t have the right foundation.

To become a successful teacher, you need to learn first how to become a successful student and in the process develop the skills through training successful attitudes and behaviours as well as intellectual capacity in order to teach. You alone can determine how you can become successful student and teacher at the same time. This will also depend how fast you learn and how much time are you willing to invest.

First you need to know what makes a successful student:

- Responsible and active.

Successful students get involved in their quest for information, accept responsibility for their own education, and are active participants in it! Responsibility is the difference between leading and being led. Active SFI Forum participation improves knowledge without increasing study time. You can actively listen, think, question, and take notes like someone in charge of their learning experience.

- Have educational goals.

Successful students are motivated by what their goals represent in terms of their SFI aspirations and life's desires. Ask yourself these questions: What am I doing here with SFI? Is there some better place I could be? What does my presence here mean to me? Answers to these questions represent your "Hot Buttons" and are, without a doubt, the most important factors in your success as an affiliate. If your educational goals are truly yours, not someone else's, they will motivate a vital and positive attitude.

- Successful students are not afraid to ask questions.

Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge. In addition to securing knowledge you seek, asking questions has at least two other extremely important benefits. The process helps you pay attention to your teacher (this could be your Team Leader/Sponsor, direct upline or an experienced affiliate in the Forum) and helps your answer/solution provider pay attention to you. Think about it. If you want something, go after it. Get the answer now, or fail a question later. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silence. It's your choice.

- Learn that a student and a teacher make a team.

A good teacher wants exactly what you want: he/she would like for you to learn the SFI material and earn the skill as well as increase your knowledge. Successful students reflect well on the efforts of their teacher; if you have learned your SFI materials; your teacher takes some justifiable pride in teaching. Join forces with your teacher, they are not an enemy, you share the same interests, the same goals - in short, you're teammates. Get to know your teacher (Team Leader/Sponsor, upline). You're the most valuable players on the same team. Your jobs are to work together for mutual success. Neither wishes to chalk up a losing season. Be a team player.

- Take good notes.

If you want to become a successful student make a habit of taking notes that are understandable and organized, and review them often. Why put something into your notes you don't understand? Ask the questions now that are necessary to make your notes meaningful at some later time. A short review of your notes while the material is still fresh on your mind helps your learn more. The more you learn then, the less you'll have to learn later and the less time it will take because you won't have to include some deciphering time, also. The whole purpose of taking notes is to use them, and use them often. The more you use them, the more they improve.

- Talk about what you’re learning.

Successful students get to know something well enough that they can put it into words. Talking about something, with other affiliates in the SFI community, is not only good for checking whether or not you know something, it’s a proven learning tool. Transferring ideas into words provides the most direct path for moving knowledge from short-term to long-term memory. You really don't "know" the SFI material until you can put it into words. So, next time you study, share what you’re learning to your affiliates (if you’re a Team Leader or to other affiliates in the SFI Forum). Talk about problems/ challenges that you’re encountering in your journey with SFI in the Forum or to your Team Leader/Co-sponsor."Talk-learning" produces a whole host of memory traces that result in more learning.

- Manage time efficiently.

Successful students do not procrastinate. They log in daily, performing their To-Do List. They have their timetable filled with list of SFI growth-promoting activities. They have learned that time control is life control and have consciously chosen to be in control of their life. An elemental truth: you will either control time or be controlled by it! It's your choice: you can lead or be led, establish control or relinquish control, steer your own course or follow others. Failure to take control of your own time will take you to nowhere with your SFI business. It ultimately causes many students (affiliates) to become non-students (inactive then quit). Procrastinators are good excuse-makers. Don't make your learning/your journey with SFI harder on yourself than it has to be. Stop procrastinating. Do something everyday with your SFI business.

You can become a successful student and teacher at the same time in SFI by learning and applying the above combination of successful attitudes and behaviours as well as possessing the intellectual capacity founded on SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD.

Once you sign on as an SFI Affiliate, you have taken on the role of a student.
Once you start recruiting SFI Affiliates, you have taken on the role of a teacher as well.

Two of the most common word/statements in SFI are 'leaders are readers' and 'duplication'

To be a great and successful teacher you have to be a successful student as well.

- Keep up to date with all the developments within SFI
- Get to know all the tools and aids available within SFI, even if you do not use them yourself

You have a dual role of student and teacher once you become a sponsor and you have to keep working at these.

To be both successful student and teacher is like wearing two hats, or being a coin- one side a student, the other a teacher.

To be a teacher you should first be a good student, willing to learn, be an avid reader, absorb and understand what you’re reading and learning and apply that knowledge.

As a teacher you should be able to impart, but not give, that knowledge and everything that you have learned and experienced.

When you first joined SFI, you are a student of a global internet marketing program.

You need to learn the ABC of building SFI business, the 1-2-3 of TripleClicks , advertising and sales. But you already have this basic understanding within you and you only need someone to show you the way and open up your mind.

As you progressed in the business, you become a Team Leader and you develop your own team, then you become a teacher to your new members. While you are teaching/mentoring your new members, you are also learning new things relevant to your business and so you are constantly wearing both hats, and being a two-sided coin.

Learning and teaching never stops. Learning and imparting, in and out.

Being a successful student and teacher here at the SFI business center is exciting. Why? You earn as you learn! If you are a complete newbie to internet marketing you may feel like you don't know enough to be successful. This is normal so embrace it and hit the training section like a dry sponge in fresh water! Just soak it all in. Everything is an awesome adventure here in the business center that could very well propel you into your ultimate success so take notes. Learn to be a student of SFI. Review every link on every page over time. You don't need to be an expert to just get started but you do need to start. You do need to learn and implement what you learn.

Soon you will be developing new business centers (team of active PSAs). You should learn from them as well as teach them what you know. Everything is a give and take. Your SFI business should not be a dictatorship but a democracy where the members have control of the direction of their own success.

Make time for supporting your team and let them know that you are available for support at whatever time through whatever means. Learn to use the resources to your advantage so that when a question comes up that you don't know the answer to you can look up the answer using the search feature, the site map, or knowledge base. Not to mention, that when you are not online your team always has access to the forum, and upline support. Let your team know this early on and you will be a great mentor and student at the same time!

In your first few months, you should learn as much as possible about the operation and rules of SFI. You find all kind of training materials, guidelines, tips and rules to be successful as a student here. Get familiar with the Menu of our Affiliate Center (black bar above). If you know the menu in general, you will need to spend less time to find the answers to your questions which arise during your learning period. Also use the white Search bar frequently.

For the purpose of learning AND teaching at the same time, the most appropriate tool is SFI Forum. Every day, several new questions come from affiliates worldwide. You can learn a lot from the answers given by more experienced affiliates. You will find them easily, as they hold a Forum Guru badge. In your learning period, just read a lot and remember the answers. You can regularly read motivational threads there, too. It is good to read them whenever you need a boost for your motivation.

Spending more and more time in the Forum, you will recognize that for many questions you are able to give useful answers. Once you are sure your answer is good, don't be afraid to post it. People will reward your posts with "likes", which will increase your self-confidence. Be up-to-date with changes in SFI rules, announcements about new features. Read all newsletters thoroughly. This will ensure you are on the top regarding your knowledge.

When you are awarded the Forum Guru badge, keep learning and teaching, so motivating yourself to hold it for a longer period.

A student learns and then imparts the knowledge to others to become a teacher. Generally, anyone that joins SFI is a student. With time and knowledge acquired through reading, guiding his/her students then becomes a teacher.

As a Student, you are always ready to read, learn new things, brush up yourselves, look at updates continuously as you are willing to learn. Have in mind that we are not reading for the sake of it , but also understanding what we are reading in general. For instance, if we had joined and IAHBE was exising and it has been changed to 105 t credits monthly and you automatically become an EA, then we should be updated with such information than to tell our downlines the old information. As a sponsor, it doesn't tell well about us as well as an affiliate learning about the business.

Also as a student especially when you are new, you are willing to ask questions, to know more about the business you are doing, places to advertise your affiliate links and the terminologies used. If we ask questions, it shows we have interest in the business and willing to learn which is something positive. Also, we can make research on SFI large library that has millions of questions that are answered by affiliates from around the world as well as forums. Here, responses to questions asked is within the shortest time. This is as a means of learning.

As a Teacher, your role is to become a Mentor or Role model. As a role model, you come in with your wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise. In this particular situation, you are being looked up as a mentor and any information disseminated has to be updated and students well guarded so that they duplicate your actions.

Remember that one of the qualities of a good teacher is to be patient and willing to reteriate salient points when sending your team mails. Never give up on them and encourage them is what would make you stand out as a teacher.

Even as a teacher, learning never ends so we need to keep developing ourselves, recruiting new affiliates , respomd to theor questions, groom them so that they can become Teachers like yourself.

We will always be business students of SFI for at least two main reasons.

One: None us of can claim to have read, fully understood and able to apply, of hand, all the material, resources, rules, tips and tools available within SFI/TripleClicks; thus, the need to continue to learn will always be present.

Second: SFI keeps innovating, adapting, reforming policies, introducing new ones, improving sales and sponsoring tools.

In other words, keeping up with the innovations that are being made within SFI, as well as the technological progress occurring in the Internet make every affiliate a student if they are eager on staying abreast of the knowledge that is beneficial to their steady business growth.

A leader is a reader. To know the newest issues in his field of interest, the most effective solutions in solving problems brought up with constant changes is a requirement for effective leadership. A successful business person anticipates consumer behavior and economic trends to position his/her operations to take full advantage of the opportunities that arise.

The above is the general business environment. It is also true for SFI. Continued learning is a necessity. It makes students out of everyone of us.

The savvy SFI Team leader is knowledgeable and skilled in transferring his knowledge to his team members. He is a teacher.

A student is one who spends his time learning. Some topics he learns just enough to be familiar with the subject. Other topics are more important to his life and he becomes much more knowledgeable about them. Sometimes, he becomes an expert in a subject .A student learns best the things that are important to his own life.

We all became students at the moment of birth, or even before that. We learned a tremendous amount in our first 4 years. We learned by instruction, by trial and error, by repetition, and from watching others.

Later on when we went to school, we learned how to teach by comparing all of our teachers and coming out with the best methods. Some of us acquired the art of teaching better than others. But we will always remain students as long as we have contact with the world.

At SFI we must transition from just being a student to also being a teacher. What we teach is what we have learned about doing business as an SFI Affiliate. Our main students are our PSAs, CSAs, and our Generations. And if we reach out through a2a, ASK SC, the Forum and through advertising, we extend our sphere of teaching influence.

We will know if we are successful students when we either know the answers or where to find them. We will know when we are successful teachers when we can give our team the correct answers and be able to help their team to put the answers to good use. And as a further proof of success as a teacher, their team will show strong examples of duplication.
