I have been blessed with an awesome sponsor who provides support and encouragement not just to me, but to all his team. When he needs to offer us advise, he offers his opinion about the situation that needs correcting and how he thinks that we can improve but he leaves the final decision up to us without any pressure. Best of all, he leads by example. Because we can see the results he obtains, we willing follow his advice because we know it works!
If you think that you may be coming across to your team members as selfish or as a dictator, ask your sponsor to look over your communications with your team members and offer you his/her opinion on the situation. Be open to the answer you receive and be willing to make changes if they are necessary.

It seems to be a very nice question. I personally feel, you can encourage your affiliate by sharing something valuables through your "Stream ". You let them know. your achievements since you have joined this Amazing SFI ONLINE BUSINESSES in an interval of every three days which will lead you to get an Action Versa Point and also your affiliates will get inspired.

Anybody working to build their business knows you have to be a little selfish. If your affiliates don't work you have to work that much harder to make money BUT on the other side, if you encourage them and support them and help them to build their business they make money and if they make money - so do you.
The best you can do is encourage, support and be positive. Ignoring them, threatning them or being negative is the shortest and quickest to chase them away - so do the oposite. Try to build a team, a team that works together and help each other.

You are the team leader and therefore your responsibility to guide them in the right direction. One thing to bear in mind is that once they became affiliates, the business is now their business. They are solely responsible for the success or otherwise of that business. That means, they're responsible to turn up everyday for work. You'll not do that for them. If they are serious about getting out of debt, uplifting their standard of living or becoming wealthy, then they have to be serious in their recruitments, advertising, selling, buying products, being active at the pricebenders and games.
Let them know early on what they stand to gain or lose by being active or inactive. Show them how to follow the plan, encourage and motivate them and ensure they repeat and rinse these process to their own teams.

I like your question because it puts the affiliate first, although to my mind, this question practically answers itself: Put yourself at your affiliates' service, learning about them by asking them about their lives, what brings them into SFI, and then showing them exactly how to achieve their personal goals. You simply let them *learn* what to do from you rather than attempting to force them to follow, and instead, you can be seen as caring and nurturing rather than as a dictator.
One good way that I would suggest is to inform them of their best opportunities for income.
That way You will get their attention , and You can be a mentor to them in their progress.
Two ideas that You can promote among Your affiliates are the member listing opportunity,

We are a SFI team aiming for success. You should tell them about the easy way to maintain the rank of an EA such as making an SO that will give them 1500 versapoints.
