This is a great question asked by Alvin Johnson. There are several reasons for become inactive after joining in SFI.
People’s do often inactive after joining not only in SFI but also in other affiliations like Amazon or eBay. Every where reason’s are the same:---

1. After registration very difficult to trust to see without any proven earner in SFI. We know that many websites are giving advertisement to recruit new affiliates every day. So very difficult to find out which one is genuine or is fake for a newbie. LAUNCHPAD 11 (https://www.sfimg.com/LaunchPad/Day11) is not enough for trust for a new affiliate.
2. Maximum affiliates are thought that it’s very simple and less time consuming. But actual things are not like that simple. Person needs to study seriously about SFI and Triple-Clicks for their success. Studying every single word from LAUNCHPAD 1 to 30 is tremendously recommended for a new affiliate in SFI.
3. Every time after opening the SFI Home Page pop up wizard of “Price benders Auction” make confusion for a new affiliate about what to do as a starter. Should he or she take part in Auction or do another thing. Actually in this time sponsor have a great role to motivate their own affiliate.
4. To expenses own money for maintaining EA status (earning 1500VP points) for 2nd month and recruit affiliates for duplication is one of the biggest region for make inactive after joining in SFI.

This topic needs a lengthy discussion which is out of scope here. But to keep it short, let us just touch the basic points. If we can ignore the problem of tier-kickers, we can discuss some very important reasons which can be eliminated easily. To do so, let us first analyse which are the people that get success in SFI.

Go to the All Affiliate leaderboard, and you will find that 7 out of the first 10 positions are held by affiliates from USA, 1 each from British Colombia, Croatia and Serbia. The primary language of all these leaders is English. Secondly, 80% of these leaders come from countries where English is the basic spoken language.

This does not imply that people from other countries where English is not the spoken language, cannot achieve success. Leaders from Croatia and Serbia prove it.

Google translate is not perfect. Another hindrance for affiliates from non-English speaking countries.

Most sponsors recruit globally and have a big list of PSAs, which they cannot perfectly monitor and guide, apart from sending team mails which mostly contains SFI news and Quotes from world figures. New affiliates need one-on-one guidance in the initial stages.

There are a few more difficulties, but the basic problem can be easily circumvented if the country leaders take the initiative.

One solution is to start facebook or other social media groups state-wise or language-wise.

I personally think, and am sure you would agree that a state-cum-language wise SFI social media group formation would be a very good starter in this direction. State-wise to keep telephone charges at a minimum, language-wise to communicate in local language.

Most affiliates join not only SFI for the thrill and curiosity of wanting to know more, unfortunately many of us sponsors fail to observe this trend and instead focus on collecting the number of affiliates and not the quality.

How then do you build a quality team?
1. By following up! This is key in every situation that involves prospecting. If we do not follow up, we will never know what challenges our PSA's face or what hinders them from moving forward.

2. Do not bring up the issues of getting rich quick before new affiliates get to understand the whole concept and operational ideals of the business. Anyone looking to make money never wants to hear that they have to spend money first before they know what's in it for them.

3. Make sure that your new affiliates know from sign up that if they are looking to get rich quick, then the program is not for them but for people who are ready to work extra hard in putting the hours and understanding what is required of them.

There is basically one reason why so many affiliates become inactive shortly after joining SFI.

It’s not because they are just tire kickers, lazy, looking for easy income, don’t have the time or money, don’t have the skills needed, don’t believe in themselves, are overwhelmed, skeptical, lack vision, etc., etc.

The basic reason is because we recruit people who become inactive shortly after they join.

The problem goes back us, the recruiters. The recruiting methods that we are using are allowing the wrong type of people to join. These methods to one degree or another do not qualify people and filter out those who do not have the capacity to build a business at SFI.

The solution is simple. Use recruiting methods that qualify people before inviting them to join. Whether offline or online, finding out a person’s need for extra income, experience in online marketing, time availability, budget, skill level, and more are things that would give an indication whether or not a person would do well and if they’d be good to work with.

This method of recruiting takes time but it’s free. It means asking questions, listening and qualifying. It takes patience and considering if SFI would be a good fit for the other person.

The question we all must ask is: “Is it worth all the time, money and frustration to use the non-productive methods to recruit or do we spend a lot less money and frustration to zero in on qualifying those who join, get busy right away, and succeed?”

Hello readers,..

My guess is that a lot of affiliates are doing other things online at the moment they sign up.. If for some reason the welcome email doesn't arrive ( Like it does with so many yahoo addresses and more ) then a lot of them do not even remember signing up ?
Or they go to sleep and forget SFI..

It is up to us as sponsor to try and find that person so we can connect with them and then they can connect with SFI again..

If you want to have quality PSAs that are active and STAY active then you need to help them step by step even BEFORE signing up with SFI.. That is where social networking and so on comes in handy..

For many people, the amount of work involved to be successful can be overwhelming, and this can cause a person to stop working. For others, they enter SFI with an attitude that they are going to get rich overnight and when they find out that it is a slow and steady process, they give up because they are looking for a quick fix rather than a permanent business venture. Along with those two groups of people, there are some who join SFI but do not have time to invest in the program yet. They have intentions to become active but they need to work out their schedules and resources so they can get started. That group needs special attention because they need to learn that SFI does not require a certain amount of action as long as some action is happening.

This is a reality that we live with everyday and it comes due to some facts which are,

i. In a group that you target with information about SFI opportunities, you will find out
that 80% don't know what you're talking about while 20% know what you're talking about.
People out there don't see the same opportunities that you see in SFI. Sponsor them and you
have a lot of work to do.
ii Of the 20% that know what you're talking about, only a quarter have the same drive as you
have this leaves you dealing a small number from a whole bunch of the ones you referred.
iii The worst scenario that we have is whereby sponsors are bringing in numerous affiliates but
not supporting them. Personally I have been supporting a number of affiliates with no idea
where there sponsors are. Once you have a scenario like this, you can't fail to see most of
them pulling of silently. Lastly the reality that hits many affiliates is the fact that
they loose their positions every end of the month and have to work their way back and up
again.
When they come in they think that once somebody attains a position like Bronze Team Leader
then this is forever, but they get a rude shock when on the first of the following month
they find themselves with the position of affiliate.

There are so many reasons for many affiliates becoming inactive shortly after joining SFI.

Inactivity will set in soon after joining while still trying to understand the SFI procedures. After only a half-hearted attempts at doing the Daily tasks, with a sprinkling of VPs here and there, they stopped altogether, confused. Instead of seeking help, or accepting the offer from their sponsors, they decide right there and then that SFI is not for them- not what they are expecting, whatever that is, and cannot understand the procedure so they opt out, or, better, become inactive.

Or, upon becoming EA due to the many free sources of VP and how easily they can collect 1500 VP to become EA, they stop temporarily until the next month when they have to start all over again.

Then,the following month when they start to struggle in earning 1500 VP again, they learn that a little investment is necessary, though not compulsory, in order to set up a Standing Order with 1500 VP to ensure they keep their EA rank. They start to make it hard for themselves by complaining. So, they stop at this stage and remain missing in action.

Others will have problems of not having a credit card, or not having the means- being out of job, being a student, or just being out of luck, to fund a credit card in order for them to purchase anything at TripleClicks, so this prevents them from moving on.

Still others will have difficulty of internet access from where they live, or not having their own PC, or any devices that will help them persevere with SFI.

Many, even before becoming EA, will ask how they will get paid, or when they will get their commission after only a month in SFI and not much of an activity in sponsoring or promoting TC products or purchasing/selling TC products themselves. Not receiving any commission on their second month, or even receiving very small amount of commission, they become discouraged and only see obstacles to their dreams and goals, so they become inactive for many months until they could not find any better alternative and decides to give SFI another go.

For some who are still gainfully employed, finding time to do their daily tasks and to really devote a part of their time to SFI is in itself a struggle, so they remain inactive. Some who set up a standing order are saying that for the time being that's all they can do until such time that they are out of job or have retired and they log in again and know that they are still in business.

For stay-at-home mums with young kids, being inactive is understandable as they try to balance their time and activities with raising a family and running a SFI business.

There are more reasons and excuses for one's inactivity but to list them all here is a waste of space, not only energy.

People often procrastinate because they fear the unknown. Without a clear path they will not follow. This is where one must exhibit a talent of communicating vision.

Many years ago my dentist moved me to floss everyday. He spoke in a graphic way to the point I was seeing pictures in my minds eye. This is called vision. If one does not have vision they will not move in the desired direction.

When one visits the SFI Affiliate Center Home Page they will often freeze because they have ventured upon unfamiliar territory. They must be exposed to SFI numerous time before it becomes familiar to them.

Having action without vision you'll just be passing the time away. Nothing of any value will ever get done because the vision to grow and overcome isn't there.

Start giving your team the vision it needs to move on turning their dreams into reality or stay poor.
