I share your predicament. Many turn up one day and leave the same day. I think there are various reasons why people remain inactive or quit. In my opinion those who just register and do not log in again have probably made up their mind that it is not the right move. Life is also about making the right choices and we cannot blame them for that. On the other hand those who stay but remain inactive later also have personal reasons for doing so. It could be that after a few months, they are still not meeting their expectations and run out of patience. Some of the PSAs become EAs in their first month but do not keep that status in the following month. It is easy to see why. The first month there are so many “free” versa points one can collect and make it to EA but after that one has to invest either time or money to maintain the status.
Most of them are probably drawn to it because it says it is free to join but they later realise that they have to perform to achieve their goals and this requires their efforts.

I place all my Affiliates in three categories when they arrive.
A) Lookers - B) Potentials - C)Action Takers

A) Lookers - These affiliates sign up because it's FREE to join with no obligation as the advertising promotes. And that is fine with me because that is the only way you will grow this business is by sharing it with more and more people.

B) Potentials- These are the new affiliates that, show a little interest by confirming their registration so now they can receive mail updates on this program from SFI and their Upline.
Potentials are a great list to develop as these type of people can be around for months, even years until something triggers them to take action.

c) Action Takers- These affiliates are ready to go before they even sign up. After sign up they instantly take action and start moving forward in their business... they are doers and very hard to find, but thy are many also!

Once you understand your customer profile, You can put your mind at ease and move forward to your next advertising campaign. Try to track each campaign so you can analyse your results.

Thing to consider when advertising is: how big/small budget, where/location, what time. etc. There are a lot of factors to consider when advertising to what type of quality affiliate results you will receive. The quality of new sign ups are a result of the quality of your campaign.

I hope this helps with your answers to your question to why some do nothing after sign up. In my experience in advertising if your get up to 3% response in your campaign you are doing great. 97% are just lookers. We are in constant search for the Action Takers.

Many affiliates become inactive shortly after joining SFI for several reasons as analyzed below;
-Some affiliates sign up in SFI with the mindset of making quick money, on joining and noticing that the money isn`t quick coming as they thought, they quit immediately.
-SFI business demands reading and studying at large to comprehend and implement the procedure to start seeing a great result, some affiliate that are not patient enough do not really have the time to do this will thereby quit or become inactive after signing up.
-There are a lot of online businesses in the internet and most of them are full of scammers. Therefore the new affiliates who stumbled to the SFI site may just see it as one of such scam and hence become inactive a short while after signing up.
-Poor financial state, that is fund for PC and internet service contribute to inactivity of some affiliates.

I struggled with the same situation after I joined SFI. I had 19 sign ups last month, and out of all those sign ups only one became active. I was very frustrated and wanted to quit, but I looked at my kids and told myself I can't give up.

In my opinion there are three main reasons that many affiliates struggle with SFI.

1) Affiliates don't understand SFI because they don't take the time to read.
2) It's not a get rich overnight business.
3) When they don't see success within a month or so, they quit.

Wouldn't it be nice if ALL our sign ups would become active! But unfortunately this does not happen. My advice would be to Never give up. I know it's hard but you must be persistent in SFI. Many people don't see SFI as many active affiliates do, and they quit before they make any progress.

Continue to get those sign ups. One day you will get those active affiliates and your big " Pay Day " will come, and those BIG checks will start rolling in!!!

2. They were not provided with adequate information;

5. They never thought, it requires some investment;
6. They never Felt, they have to work/spend some time every day - throughout the year;
7. Attractive Advertisements would also have misled them;
8. Lack of Patience;
9. Language barrier - SFI materials being in English - their inability to read
and understand them;
10.Not being able to introduce down lines;
11.Not being able to build a strong and active Team;
12.Lack of Family Support;
13.Lack of time;
14.Fear of failure;
15.Lack of Finance for promotional activities;
16.Inadequate support from Sponsors or Up line Leaders;
17.Improper communication;
18.Past failures in similar business ventures;
19.Misunderstanding with the person who introduced them;
20.Lack of facilities at home - like PC/Internet connection, etc
21.Other priorities in Life;

This List will be endless.

Conclusion:

I strongly feel, we should build our Team with Members

1. Who trust us;
2. Who know us very well;
3. With whom we have excellent relationship;

From our side, we should:

1. Inspire them with our achievements;
2. Motivate them through incentives;
3. Help them build their Team;
4. Encourage them through regular contacts;
5. Support them to cut down expenses and maximize their income regularly;

Conclusion:

When we do all these and more I honestly feel no affiliate will ever try to move away from our Team or even think of becoming inactive. Winners don't do different things; They do things differently".

Some people just click on a link, fill in the name and email, and are enrolled. They don't log in to check out any of the home page, they don't look at the Start, SFI Basics, or LaunchPad and just leave without giving a backward look. They may earn a few VersaPoints but most of these people are the ones that give a bad email address because they were only curious.

Others blitz out the first month, earn every single VersaPoint they can, become a Bronze Team Leader or higher, then a new month begins and they have to start back with zero. Then the next slam occurs when the CSA's that are given to them to help them out in their business are not active. With both of these, they are scratching their heads. Along with these two items if they do earn any pay, it is normally less than $5 USD. At this point they ask themselves, "after all that I have done for (however) many days, what do I have to show for it?"

The key is to start gently. Assist them in their attempts to learn if they are willing. You will be able to tell who is being serious.

This question seems to be on most Affiliates minds, both new and seasoned.
But, speaking from personal experience, I get maybe 15-20 emails a day (that's just on 1 of my email carriers) telling me of ways to make money starting today. Everyone else gets the same amount of these emails also. We all know from experience that these are just gimmicks to get people to join, then they hit you with the big money to start up your new business.

Inherently, people want to make money fast. So what I try to tell prospect or people that have just become part of my team, if you want to make money, you have to work for it as you would in a job you have to support yourself or your family. The difference is that with SFI you can work on it in your free time with little effort because of all the tools available to them.

My strong points would be, the comfort of your home. I get up in the morning, turn on my computer, make coffee, then sit down and work on my SFI/TripleClicks. While I'm out and about, I carry X-cards and I'm a Wave3 member. Let them know with commitment and just a bit of work, you will be rewarded in the end. Also that nothing is really for free, especially making money on line.

These are, in my opinion the main reasons why affiliates drop out soon after joining.

- They may not have been provided with accurate information regarding income generation and how much, how soon they will earn.

- Team building requires commitment of time and being able to market your business effectively to duplicate. Many affiliates hold demanding full time jobs and not having the available time to sacrifice to this business may be one cause of inactivity.

- Full time jobs provide tangible income whereas with this affiliate program, unless you have an active team and you have made some investments, it would be hard to see that income in the first month. Income is slow to build without these two factors.

- Some affiliates find it difficult to understand the concept and there maybe barriers particularly if English is not their prime language. Despite having access to a translator, explaining the business becomes difficult if the affiliate is not from the same country as you are.

- Many affiliates feel they would not be able to talk to others about the business to help them build the team and this is a discouraging aspect - they may face barriers either psychological or cultural to talk to strangers about it. So building a team is slow-this impacts on the income.

Why do so many affiliates become inactive shortly after joining SFI?

First, the desirable features of SFI as a part-time or full-time online
job exerts a driving force to prospecting individuals to click the ads
to the SFI website.

On becoming SFI affiliates, these newbies suddenly are caught
unprepared about the number of tasks involved when, at first thought,
supposed to start earning right away.

Others, who were able to carry on to the EA status, suddenly became
disappointed having learned of their status back to AFF the following
month.

The above situation gives a clear picture why many affiliates are
driven to inactivity shortly after joining SFI.

I believe that the predicament mentioned above could be avoided as
long as the respective sponsors are quick to give proper guidance
to the new affiliates, i.e. that making business with SFI is not a
get-rich-quick scheme. It is rather an endeavor directed towards a
goal to attain success for a brighter and secured future.

Hi everyone, and first wish you all a happy new year!

First, let's be clean and clear on this:
Many recruited affiliates will notice as soon as they enter SFI: "Why am I doing this, and for another person?!" - this question must be answered as soon as your affiliate joins SFI !
Also to mention, many affiliates will try to do her/his tasks for day or two, and then stops, probably for reason that sponsors not dedicating some time helping them. That's an error!
If you recruit someone and earn money over those affiliates, you must explain them procedure how you became successfull and your own successfull way to achieve that or else there will be no progress with your affiliates nor team members.
One time, I have recruited 3 affiliates at once, and I haven't been home for several days, which means no contact, and guess what ? They returned me by leaving from SFI. They need support and help in any way and always! Specially for those affiliates who do not know or does not speak and read fluently in English. That is also Nb. 2 for discuss! Many affiliates uses auto translate programs like Google or from other third party websites to communicate.
I must also say that when affiliate joins your team, your job as a sponsor is to teach them as quicly as you can to be vital part of your team. If affiliate is stalling, reward him for success with anything you can think off. It realy helps !

Stay focused and remember: "READ AND LEARN" - this tactic should be implemented in your affiliation gateways.
