I am now in my third year as a member of SFI and have learned a lot including how I can maximise the time I spend growing my SFI business. Here are some things I would do differently . . .

- I would not buy PSAs from ECAs. For me, I have never gotten a sign up who was active more than one or two months. Most of them never became active.

- I would buy traffic packages from many different ECAs and use the ‘hit tracker’ to follow which ones produced active sign ups.

- I would recruit merchants to create ECA stores at TripleClicks as this is a source of income that can be used to grow one’s SFI business.

- I would create advertising co-ops through using the Co-op Manager and place new, active PSAs in them so they get signups quickly so they are encouraged to further engage in building their business and make a stronger commitment.

- I would commit more time to building my SFI business.

- I would communicate more with my 2nd, 3rd, 4th (etc.) generation affiliates.

- I would be more active in the forum in reading, learning, asking questions, and contributing.

Hello Christopher,

The most effective and free way to increase your chances of success with SFI is in using Facebook to recruit new PSAs.

There are many methods out there being promoted for using Facebook for marketing but the most effective is what I call the ‘soft’, relational approach.

There are four key areas that you will need to focus on. These are . . .

1. Creating your Facebook profile page. This includes the following important points . . .

- Your profile picture must be as professional looking as possible with nice clothes, hair styled, taken at the correct angle, and with a good background.
- Upload an background image that communicates luxury, beautiful scenery, or success. But don’t use it to advertise SFI. Be sure to change this on a regular basis.
- Be sure to configure all your settings to ‘Public’. You want the world to see what you post.
- Be sure to post interesting and positive thoughts, posters, shared links, etc. on a daily basis.

2. Connect with 5 to 10 people per day.

- Connect with ‘friends’ you have and then ‘friends of friends’.
- Connect with perfect prospects by send friend requests to eager socialisers who share your interests and values. You can identify them as they have include a bio (personal history/description about themselves in the ‘About Me’ section of their profile page as well as allows others to follow them, comment on their posts, and message them. They usually post regularly and have a good number of friends.
- Use the top search bar to find “People who like . . . sales . . . network marketing . . . affiliate marketing . . . internet marketing . . . etc.”

3. Communicate with 5 - 10 people per day.

- Make comments on their posts, follow them, like and share things they post that interests you (they will notice you)
- Message them and ask questions about what they do. Every answer contains the ‘seeds’ for more questions.
- Ask questions that will qualify them or disqualify them as possible interest in online marketing.
- Don’t be in a hurry to talk about SFI. Take an interest in them. Ask them about their experiences in the jobs they have had.
- They should talk more than you. The more they talk about themselves, the more interested they are in what you will have to offer them.
- Wait for them to ask you about what you do. When they do, ask why they want to know. Are they interested in doing an online business? Why?

4. Close (recruit) those who are open to exploring an online business.

- When you have qualified prospects as probably being interested in doing an online business, suggest that you meet with them on Skype, Google Talk, phone, in person or online conference room where you can explain SFI to them. The priority is to meet with them and not just send them your SFI gateway link.
- After speaking with them and explaining SFI, send them a gateway link and schedule a time when you can follow up with them and answer any of their questions.

When you use this method, there is a high probability of experiencing rejection free recruiting. Add to this the fact that because you have a relationship with them, they will be active from the start and serious about building their own SFI business.

1. You can personalise and customise your message to communicate the resources and helpful advice they need. Each PSA is unique in terms of personality, skill level, time availability, and finances. The amount of affiliates you need to sponsor each month varies a great deal on many factors.

One of these factors depends on when and how affiliates are filtered (screened).

If filtering is done before they join through your interaction with them as a personal friend, relative or through social media, then the amount of affiliates you'll need to sponsor each month will be very minimal.

However, if the filtering is done by the SFI system after the affiliate joins, you will need to sponsor hundreds in order to get a team that actually engages, commits and duplicates a healthy and profitable model of growth.

There is basically one reason why so many affiliates become inactive shortly after joining SFI.

It’s not because they are just tire kickers, lazy, looking for easy income, don’t have the time or money, don’t have the skills needed, don’t believe in themselves, are overwhelmed, skeptical, lack vision, etc., etc.

The basic reason is because we recruit people who become inactive shortly after they join.

The problem goes back us, the recruiters. The recruiting methods that we are using are allowing the wrong type of people to join. These methods to one degree or another do not qualify people and filter out those who do not have the capacity to build a business at SFI.

The solution is simple. Use recruiting methods that qualify people before inviting them to join. Whether offline or online, finding out a person’s need for extra income, experience in online marketing, time availability, budget, skill level, and more are things that would give an indication whether or not a person would do well and if they’d be good to work with.

This method of recruiting takes time but it’s free. It means asking questions, listening and qualifying. It takes patience and considering if SFI would be a good fit for the other person.

The question we all must ask is: “Is it worth all the time, money and frustration to use the non-productive methods to recruit or do we spend a lot less money and frustration to zero in on qualifying those who join, get busy right away, and succeed?”

This question is one that is key for every SFI member who seriously wants to succeed. The answers will point to the importance of assuming a leadership role and encouraging our PSAs in that direction.

It is a significant step for a team member to take on leadership for the following reasons . . .

1. They have come to understand that in order to earn a good income at SFI, they will need to build a team.

2. They will have grown to the point of seeing the need to invest their time, money and resources to make things happen.

3. They, most likely, have realised that succeeding at SFI takes a long term commitment thus providing for more stable growth for them and for you.

4. They show that they realise it is necessary to always be a learner and grow into their potential for their team’s sake.

5. They have reached the important point of valuing, searching out and learning from those who have achieved higher rank than they thus assuring themselves and you a steadily growing team.

6. They have come to understand the power of duplication and keep in close contact with their downline to make sure they are available when they need help. This helps take some of the weight of responsibility off you so you can concentrate on others in your downline team who need help.

7. As their sponsor, you gain from their growth by learning from them in areas that you have yet to explore and gain skills in.

8. They become great examples for others to follow in things like . . .

- taking initiative
- being creative

In order for new PSAs to commit to SFI, two things must happen.

1. They must believe that SFI is legitimate and has developed a proven history of members who have achieved their financial goals.
2. They must believe in their own ability or potential to be able to achieve success.

In both points, the sponsor is the primary person who has the opportunity and responsibility to assure them that SFI is creditable and that there is ample proof that they can succeed with or without previous experience.

Just simply stating the facts of SFI’s 17 year history of success to the new PSA is, many times, not enough for them to commit to SFI. Many people don’t respond to just facts but need to experience commitment from their sponsor over a period of time before they can commit to SFI.

Commitment usually is the result of growing confidence and trust which is fostered over time through positive experiences and growing familiarity . Furthermore, it is usually not a one time event but comes in degrees as it increases and decreases depending on positive and negative factors.

Here are some actions points that may help in encouraging new PSA’s to commit to SFI.

1. Establish two way communication. I have found that one of the first indications that a new PSA is willing to try SFI and has a good chance of continuing past the first month is if they communicate back to me. This small action is really huge and needs to be fostered in the beginning however small and regularly continued. So establishing good communication is one of the first steps in encouraging commitment.

2. Once you’ve established communication . . . get to know their concerns, doubts, reservations, dreams and expectations. Address these in a realistic way and point them to real life examples or from your own personal experience.

3. Help them understand that growing their SFI business is possible by explaining the different parts of SFI and show how they work together. Breaking things down into smaller parts helps to dispel the confusion and feeling of being overwhelmed that may cause hopelessness and early drop out.

4. Track your new PSA’s activity during their first month. When they take their first PSA ‘baby steps’, send encouraging messages. When you see that they have completed their ‘Daily Actions’, used their PSA Mailer, uploaded their profile picture, etc. . . . send them an E-Card and reinforce the value of what they just did.

5. Show them they are not alone. Don’t wait for your PSAs to ask you questions. Take the initiative to ask them how they are doing or send appropriate tips or congratulations of achieving a small step. Once you have initially established a connection with them, it usually helps to ‘pop in’ on them even if it is just a friendly “Hello”. People usually need to know that you are still there, interested in them and have not abandon them.

6. Direct them to the testimonial section in the Forum and to specific posts where they can see that normal people like them who have little to invest or marketing skills have grown their SFI business successfully.

7. Introduce and direct them to become A2A friends with SFI leaders in their country. Suggest that they ask these leaders about their experience in building their business. Take the initiative to 'friend' these country leaders yourself and get to know their success stories so that you can direct your new PSAs to the most appropriate leaders.

8. Explain the simplicity and power of duplication. Show how a 125 TCredit Pack ’Standing Order’ of just $36.25/month multiplied by 5 on each of 5 levels will earn them $13,000 per month. Send them forum posts and documents on this subject.
