I have affiliates who are inactive. Is it a good idea or bad idea to reassign them to my active affiliates?
Every one has hope who joint with SFI,there is many way to be possible,even you think they are inactive,they have hope ,you should help,keep in touch,send e mail how to go a head,encourage them as a SFI member because all we are member of SFI...

No do not reassign them for you need you company to grow. So encourage them instead and wait for it may just be a busy time for them and they may come back and blow it out of the water. I never give up on my team members. If I do assign someone it is to help another teamie build their business with SFI.
Until you are able to find out the reason for inactivity of the inactive affiliate chances are there will be very little anyone will be able to do to get him/her moving.From a business perspective if one has to put a rope around the neck of another person in business to pull them along,it could be very hazardous for the one pulling.In cases where you can't even get such individuals to communicate with you there is a serious problem that only that individual can make a decision to fix.
Nevertheless it is possible that the proper wording of a message may someday reach affiliate inactive, that wakes him up. Then, if SFI is not the solution for him/her there will still be no change. The inactive affiliate is the only one who will be able to activate himself. Reassignment should be done if you figure out the problem for inactivity, you are not able to handle it, but there is another affiliate in your group you know would best make the right contribution in working with the individual.Communicate the transition to both parties if possible so each will know what to expect, in so doing they both will meet on common ground.

Wow...how would you feel if your upline did the same to you? Normally it's supposed to be a give and take scenario. You are supposed to earn some VPs for reassigning and your downline is supposed to benefit from the reassignment in the sense of moving up. This will be perceived to be dumping of unwanted material. NO IT IS NOT GOOD.
This would probably be more discouraging to your active affiliates. They may see it as you're trying to push your "unwanted" affiliates onto them...now, this may not be the case, but it's all about perception. A sponsor can only guide/lead their PSAs, the initial action to find out more and try to be active is in their own hands.
It's a good idea when done correctly. Reassign inactives to your active affiliates to give them an opportunity to develop their skills at working with others, communicate to their team, and get the VP from using the team mailer.
Don't reassign inactives as an incentive... they may not ever become an asset to the active affiliate who's receiving them.
And it's a good idea to communicate to those reassigned. A quick explanation that you're reassigning them within your team and you're still available to help them (if they ever choose to become active) is a simple courtesy that will only take a moment.

Our goal must be to make our affiliates successful. Reassigning inactive afiliates doesn't help our affiliates. I advise to contact the inactive affiliates first and ask them what their goals are with SFI and motivate them to become active again.
Inactivity may be of two types, temporary inactivity for a short period or marked inactivity for a pretty long period. For the Affiliates falling in the first group, encouragement with a little bit of sympathetic and healing touch may work out miracles; but those who fall in the second group may have lost interest and their actions may be irreversible. The activities of the affiliates may be minutely judged and decision should be taken thereafter. Little bit of boost up to the rightly chosen person is always good.

Reassigning an affiliate is never a bad idea. It gives you 5VP just by doing it and it boosts the morale of your downline by having a generous sponsor. This will also help your PSA's and CSA's in gaining more VP, especially if they don't have any downline because they can now earn VP through weekly tasks of mailing to their team. This will also teach them to monitor their downline and will help greatly in improving their communication skills.
