Thank you for this timely question because I have often wondered if anyone was reading my weekly communications and if what I wrote was helping them if they took the time to read them.
A few weeks ago I received a very warm note from one affiliate that I am co-sponsoring. She said that my mailings were the only ones that she received from any of her up line that were always encouraging. This made my week because I was getting very discouraged.
Usually I find that positive messages work. If you offer encourement and praise, people tend to respond by working harder but when all you offer is negative messages, not only will they not respond the way that you want by becoming more active, they may stop reading your messages.
If there were important changes that occurred during the week, I include them in my messages because some of the inactive people may read something that will encourage them to take another look at SFI. If there was an important event in the life of one of the team members, you can congratulate them.
I am always honest with my team and if a change occurs that I am not enthuastic about, they know it but I have also make it clear that I am a person who does not like change and more often than not I have learned to like the changes once they are in place and my team knows that too. Some of the biggest changes that initially I disliked have turned out to be extremely helpful to me and I am starting to look forward to the changes. I tell them that I think 2016 is going to be the best year yet for SFI and I want it to be the best year yet for our team. If we work together, it will be!

I have found the more that I am able to share about my personal experience/s with SFI - the successful days, the hard days and other helpful resources the more engaged I have found downline team members are.

Each member of your team has his or her trigger/s to be motivated to move forward with SFI so do take time to get to know your top Movers and find out what he or she is looking for, read their goals each month and be sure to send them messages such as e-cards to acknowledge them.

Teams move forward when there is movement from the leader - be sure to share items that motivate you - share your thoughts, affirmations and even things that you are currently reading.

Share your thoughts and desires.

When you share it promotes a momentum to your team members to want to share with others too - this is the action that you desire to see from your down line members.

In my weekly communications to my PSAs and CSAs, what can I write to motivate them to become more active?

That's a nice question Rupak because we get a good opportunity every week to write to team mates whether our PSAs or CSAs.

Now the next question is how to motivate them? What to write to them? I will try to answer this question with my own example.

Initially I used to copy some paragraphs from different tabs like Rules Of Success or SFI BASICS and post as weekly Group Mailer. But not any more because that was already available to them. I was always thinking of what new can be done to motivate my team mates. As my team grew in size and more and more of my team mates became active I thought it right to include my actual experience in SFI how I created a big team.

In my team mail now I guide them how to sponsor new PSAs. What exactly to write in advertisements so that more and more people are attracted to it. I send them exact words which I used to advertise. This one advertisement has given me hundreds of new PSAs. This is what I wrote :

Do you know that you can work from your smartphone by giving just 2-3 hrs daily? For more information contact me in my inbox or email me or call me at ×××××××××××

I also write them how I am able to win 16-20 FREE TCredits every month by playing T-Time. This motivates them further.

In weekly team mails I also ask them to visit ASK SC and Forum tabs more often and learn from other great leaders in SFI.

I also write them what are the products that I have bought from Tripleclicks so that Duplication can happen in my team.

I regularly write in ASK SC tab and have answered many questions and many of them have been in top ten most polled. I include these answers in my weekly Mailer.

I regularly get many AVPs this way. I hope some of my Team members will duplicate me one day.

This is what I write in my Weekly Group Mailer and advise other Team Leaders to do the same and encourage Duplication in their teams.

Weekly communications to PSAs and CSAs are important. While you nor I can't motivate anyone not willing to execute simple recommendations, you can work with your workers. Commitment has to come from the team member. That said, follow these tips and you will be well on your way to an active team:

1. Pass Criticism up. Never beat up your team members for not achieving standing orders, sales, milestones, or badges. This is a BIG no, no and likely to cause drastic results. Anytime there are issues or problems a ticket is the way to handle this. Don't tell your team members nothing that would cast a shadow over the image of the business. Don't create cancerous groups on social networks that are filled with negativity about the business nor participate in such groups.

2. Be very accessible. Nothing is more frustrating to a new member than to have questions and no one that seems to care. You should always include your contact info in your communications and try to respond to requests in 24 to 48 hours. This is reasonable as we have a global business across many time zones around the world.

3. Be very knowledgeable. Your team looks up to you and expects you to lead the way. They can't possibly know where to find all the information available at the SFI business center. So be sure to include in the stream a few tips about resources to help your navigate the business center such as the search feature and the site map. This also means that you should be able to use the resources and have a firm handle on the terminology.

4. Be very active yourself. Again, your team is watching you. They see your progress and are measuring theirs by yours. As a leader you must learn to demonstrate what being active is and means. Contribute to the forum, and contribute to Ask SC. Provide them with knowledge from your experiences. Share any resources you run across that makes sales and team building more streamline.

5. Praise and reward your movers. While gift certificates have to be used sparingly, one for 2 to 5 bucks can go a long ways to helping a meritorious team member. TCredits are like the gift that keeps on giving! Reassignments as they are available can always boost an affiliates morale. Keeping morale high is essential to activity and we all sometimes can catch a case of the 'blahs'. So when you feel depleted recharge by listening to some motivational videos and share these with your team. So that they will be empowered. From time to time be sure to make a post in the recognition forum as well for deserving team members.

6. At some point, it is always encouraging to learn what can be improved about the business. So do recommend areas where your team members can beef up and praise them for areas they are strong in. Do a sort of 'one-on-one' with your team mates. It's always encouraging when an upline member takes out of their time to help other members. Fostering reciprocity and goodwill will go a long ways in keeping your team members active.

In your weekly communications to your PSAs and CSAs, there are many things you can write about SFI that will motivate, encourage and inspire them to be more active and engaged.

Start your message with a warm greetings and warm welcome to your new members. Make them feel at home.

Then share the success of your team, no matter how modest, and heap praises on your star performers for their fantastic achievements during the week.

If one member has won anything from the Pricebenders auction, Eager Zebra games, Daily Grand Drawing, Daily Crown, or if one of your members has won the E365 Class Champion by all means do make a sing and dance about them in your Weekly Message.

Never forget to highlight other achievements such as newest EA, newest Fast-Track Member Silver and Gold, newest EA2, newest BTL, newest STL, etc. as this will surely give your inactive members a feeling of what they’re missing out on as other members of your team are moving and achieving.

For your newest members who have not yet regularly visited the Forum, share some posts, as well as answers from Ask SC that address common issues which may relate to them.

If you’re holding a contest, this also rates a mention so that your PSAs and CSAs may feel encouraged to participate as you're giving them something to aim for.

Of course, always mention the latest SFI News and announcements, and for them to be on the lookout for Spin and Win, and other important sponsoring and sales promotion.

Your weekly message should be just long enough to contain all the exciting and interesting points you want to impart to your team and encourage them to read and be motivated, especially if they get a special mention!

5. Make them feel appreciated by expressing sincere gratitude for their role on the team.

Here's some tips..

Total in a month, we've probably have 4 weeks. So lets start from the first week of the month.

For your first week,
Do start with a good appreciation for their hard work the previous month.
Next, a reminder to update Leadership Page, vote sponsor ratings and update Goal score.
Lastly, we might want to remind them to achieve an EA rank qualification before the 10th of each month, to receive 10 TCredits, second home CSAs and more..

For your second week,
Send some calculation and plans in breakdown details step by step to get to EA and straight to BTL, calculation of Sales VP and Action VP. These theory is muchly needed to help our team more understanding.

For your third week,
Our team needs to be reminded to never forget recruiting affiliates. SBuilder shares is a great to have to maintain a team growth..

Fourth Week,
Final measures of their progress and Send them more about tips to capitalise..

There is more actually, but, we are sure you can do more better than us..

This is a great question that I think every SFI affiliate or leader should strive to solved. In my own little way I'm writing a 30 days text or write-up I Calle " day by day mulivational vitamin for new PSAs and CSAs". And here is one of it just to answer this question,
there are things every new affiliate need to know about making money,
(1)you need to know that making money in anything you set your hands
to do will not be that easy,
(2)you also need to know that, it takes determination to make money in
any business,
(3)you need to know that, money will not start rolling into your
account the first day you started in any business,
(4) you need to know that you alone can determine if you want to
succeed or fail but not kicking God aside, you need to know that if
you persist in any business! you are bound to succeed,
(5)you need to know that, every building always start with a
foundation, what foundation have you lay to make money?
(6)you need to know that nobody can do it for you better than yourself,
"that's why a proverb in my dailey says, "put a hot cool in the hand
of a mother and put it too in the hand of her new baby! she will first
of all throw away her own before taking care of her new born"
(7)you need to know that, if you do something and fail the first time
or more those not make you a failure, but if you quite the first time,that
really make you a great failure.
You need to know that the process of anything at the beginning look
rough, even the most beautiful building or car look rough at the
beginning, so also you business here will, but sfi knows that, that's
why they provided all the support you will need,
(8) you need to know that, commitment is the key to success in
anything or business you do, so how committed are you willing to give
your sfi business?
(9)you need to know that, until you pay certain prize in life you may
not go far in life and that's the principles of any business, or unless you
want to reap where you did not sow,
(10) you need to know that, you don't have to judge a book by it's
cover, you need to open it and read at least 50% of the pages before
you can pass sound judgment, so also is with SFI, don't just open 1 or
2 times and start passing judgment, this is a mistake so many new
affiliate do, I was there too, what's your opinion?

Great question. Here is what I tell my down-line:-

The first thing I do is commend the movers on my team for their efforts and encourage them to continue doing what they are doing then I move to telling everyone about any competitions I may be running. I always try to include at least one article from the forum or ask SC that I believe the entire team would be interested in then I close the letter with a meek reminder of the reason we all joined SFI (ie. our passion for making money on the internet working from home) and a "call-to-action".

Note: The reminder can also be used to open the letters as it renews the affiliate's interest in the program so having your "call-to-action" placed exactly after your reminder is a great way to increase affiliate activity.
