Glossary definition: My To-Do List
"A list of actions SFI suggests you perform to help you build a successful SFI business. Each action you do earns you VersaPoints. The more points you earn, the higher your SFI commissions can go and the further up you go in the Power Rankings." https://www.sfimg.com/Support/Solution?id=34254&referrer=search

The above glossary definition appears vague and capable of being misconstrued, to mean that all they need do to maximise commission is to click away the actions and earn some minimum of 11 VP daily, so in most cases we have affiliates asking what to do next after completing their daily To Do List actions in maybe 15 minutes and this is where you come in by:

1. Guiding and assisting them to understand that to become really successful here requires more than just clicking away the To Do List actions, but that there are other information on that List that do not necessarily required clicking to earn a VP, that are very pertinent to helping them build a successful business.

2. Highlighting some of these information and directing them on how to access them, either by informing them to always click on the 'More/Less' button in blue colour for more or less info on specific actions on the To Do List (TDL) or sending the direct url to your team members. I am referring to actions like sponsoring and duplication, sales, TC and ECA referrals, including SFIPPA. Apart from SFIPPA, info and materials on how to pursue other income generating activities are in the TDL but most affiliates are either not aware or simply ignore them.

3. Making continuous and consistent efforts to educate your team on the benefits of engaging in each of these income generating activities, rather than just guiding them to where they can access the info may be more convincing, appealing and encouraging to them.

4. In whatever you do to assist your team, thrive to be a good example and use yourself as a testimonial of success, by linking your success to your ability to engage in other activities and encourage them to duplicate your efforts.

5. Encouraging your team to participate in the Forum and engage with the Ask SC in order to improve their knowledge and understanding of the necessity of engaging in other various activities and to not be perpetually tied to the apron strings of the TDL. You may also need to get used to sending them urls of pertinent for forum threads and Ask SC answers.

In conclusion, the TDL itself is not a bad thing because it contains a lot of information necessary to help us build our business, but the problem is that some affiliates are carried away by the daily min of 11 VP and loose track of other very useful info contained in it.

My recommendation is that the TDL should incorporate the Compensation Plan and the Benefit Chart, so that affiliates will appreciate the usefulness of the info they ignore on the TDL, assuming they will not also be clicking these away without reading them.

Hi Daphne,

I would be ecstatic if more affiliates were interested in doing AT LEAST their Daily To-Do list! The reality is that many do it halfheartedly or not at all. Therefore, I think it is a very positive sign when affiliates log-in regularly to do their Daily To-Do list.

Perhaps they don't do much else because they want to absorb one part of the program before skipping to the next stage; many may feel overwhelmed by so much information and prefer to stick to a simple routine; or maybe they are busy doing other things that have nothing to do with SFI and don't have much time to spare.

No matter what their reason is for only doing their Daily To-Do list, the good news is that they ARE doing it, which means they ARE interested and DO want to learn something new. They are your Movers, even if they don't advance in rank, because they are earning VP each day, which means they absolutely deserve your personal attention.

In order to motivate them to do other activities, first you need to get to know them. Study their Profile to find out why their joined SFI, what their goals and expectations are, and which part of the program is most and least appealing to them. Then establish one-on-one contact and offer specific ways you can help them benefit more from this program.

Even if they do not respond, you should definitely continue to provide tips and information –once or twice a week–, that clearly fit their particular needs. If they DO respond and ask questions, always answer them within 24 hours. That way they will know that you are there to support them and will feel more confident and motivated.

This may sound hopelessly optimistic, but I believe that affiliates who only log-in to do their Daily To-Do list will eventually realize that they are sitting on a potential gold mine. Once that realization sets in, there will be no stopping them, so be sure to show how much you appreciate their efforts, and be there for them when they are ready to take the next step.

I always say that anyone who wants to be successful in SFI (or any serious business for that matter), must log in daily and do their Daily, Weekly and Monthly Actions, but that alone won’t mean success in this business. There are many reasons why you must log in daily, but the most important is to stay abreast of all the news and new developments. The SFI site or your home page is the best source of knowledge you can find. You have to learn and keep on learning everything about SFI, on-line marketing, social media marketing and this is where you’ll find the most comprehensive source of knowledge. This is about personal development and to be able to help your Team Members.

The next step in this whole process, but just as important, is to grow your business by growing your team of PSA’s, CSA’s, ECA’s and PRM’s. To achieve this you have to promote your business and store aggressively.

In the meantime you must teach your team to do the same.

This whole process can be summed up in 3 words, namely: Learn, Build, Duplicate. The only way you can do this is by way of example and mentoring. Show them AND teach them. To show them is to do everything you want them to do, FIRST. Be that example. To teach them is to be an awesome sponsor. Tell them what you are doing, how you are doing it and what the results of every effort for you were.

Leading by example is the best way to motivate you team to do other activities.

Those badges you have earned and are shown at you profile tell a great story about you and what you do and have achieved in SFI. Tell your affiliates about them and point out to them why they are there. They are badges of achievement.

For example:
- Daily VersaPoints Streak tells how long you have consistently log in every day and earned VP. This gives testimony to how dedicated you are and substance to your urgings for them to log in daily.
- If you are urging your people to take part in the ASK SC having Top Author Votes and ASK SC Ratings badges at your profile will certainly back up what you are saying.

Lead by example.

You should also consistently communicate with them. Tell them about your achievements. Tell them about other affiliates achievements, even if they are not of your team. Point to the leaders of the various leader boards: country leaders, class leaders, VersaPoint leaders etc.. Encourage them to look at the profile of those leaders.

If one of your team members reaches a milestone within SFI, make a fuzz of it. Publicly congratulate the member, give them a gift if you are able to, and let all you team members know about it. It doesn’t matter what the milestone it, it could be just making EA, be excited about it and tell everyone about it.

Explain to them and tell them why they need to advertise and show them how.
Tell them why they need to take part in ASK SC, become A2A members, join Wave3, take part in The Forum, Fast Track, Auctions etc..
Explain to them the advantages of advancing through the ranks and how.

Continually talk to them, coaching and encouraging them. Tell them that although doing the Daily To Do List helps, simply doing that and nothing more will get them nowhere. They need to do a lot more to grow their businesses.

Many affiliates have this inertia problem in SFI. Yes, many do not go beyond the Daily To-Do list. Hence, to motivate them to other activities you should:

1. Lead by Example. Motivation gets the moral courage when we are "doers" ourselves. Your badge should literally drive you downline. Grow your rank, Have a Standing Order, Maintain a long Daily Streak, Participate in PriceBender Auctions, Games etc.

2. Organise Contests. Create contests periodically for PSA and CSA. For instance, anybody becoming EA2 this month gets 10 Free PSA from the COOP. Advance your rank this month and get Gift Certificate etc.

3. Emphasize benefits of certain ranks. Some affiliates don't know the benefit of becoming EA2 - the 10 Free TCredits, 2 CSA, Share of the Executive pool. Tell them the benefits of Team Leader rank especially the matching VersaPoint.

4. Promote other aspects of the business. Tell them what they could win in PriceBenders Auctions - brand electronic items, TCredits etc. Promote Eager Zebra games and the unlimited TCredits they could win. Guide them also.

5. Recognize Achievers. You should celebrate certain milestones and achievements of your downline. When anybody becomes EA2, BTL, STL, GTL etc and when they win auctions and games, this should be announced in your Leadership page, Streams and so on.

These and some others means would definitely drive activity and competition in your downline.

Hey Daphne, if you've got many affiliates regularly doing the Daily To-Do list, you're off to a great start. Well done!

Now think of ways you can use the To-Do list to pique their interest and whet their appetites for more. A great way of doing this is by using your Stream.

Post lots of motivation on your Stream, such as:

- Congratulate your achievers. Draw their attention to achievements of yourself and others to show them what is possible with SFI.
- Post links to the most useful, helpful and motivational forum posts and training articles.
- Write in your Leadership Page blog and post links to that.
- Do you have your own blog? Update that with helpful articles and post links to that in your Stream.
- Appeal to emotions, rather than trying to sell or get them to do tasks that they may not see the point of yet, e.g. "How would it feel to be able to pay your bills with your SFI income?"

Of course, you can use these same techniques in newsletters, emails and ecards too, but I'm highlighting the use of them on your Stream because you know your affiliates are looking there.

Use all methods available to you to let affiliates know that the free points they get from doing their To-Do list is a great start towards achieving at least Executive Affiliate rank, but is only the tip of the iceberg compared to what is possible.

Hi Daphne, your observation is correct. However, you can encourage them to do the following beside their To Do list:

1. After login let them check their alerts for any new information.
2. Enter the daily grand for possibility to win CSAs, MRP, VPs to improve on my points.
4. Check their Scoreboard in more detail for VP accumulated so far, earning, and power rank. And see how they can improve.
5. Check the movers tab in detail to see the progress of their team members.
6. Look at their movers VPLedger page and see what they can do to help them improve on their performance.
7. I visit their genealogy for rewards to performing affiliates and other relationship building.
8. Re-assignment of some PSAs for effective performance.
9. Go to the training menu to increase their knowledge and see how they can improve their business.
10. Contact their upline leaders or visit the forum to post unclear information read from the training materials.
11. After completing all the above, let them visit tripleclicks to play games with the possibility of wining Tcredits.
12. Participate in pricebender auctions for PSAs TO Go, Tcredit subscription etc
13. If they still have time:
- They should read through ASK SC answers in detail and possibly answer some questions for free VPs.
- Update their leadership page with new information etc.

Outside all these they can concentrate on expanding their business:

14. Continue to give relentless supports in form of assistance, encouragement and advice to theirbdownlines:
a) Teach them on how to access, read and apply the training materials - Home page > Training menu.
b) Teach them on how to use the FORUM to ask questions about things new to them.
c) Explain the importance of talking to you and other upline members concerning their challenges.
e) Set up S-Builder Co-op for their team so they can benefit from the worldwide advertising campaign.

15. Concentrate on acquiring new PSAs and CSAs:
a) Get new PSAs and CSAs from Pricebender auctions and PSAs TO GO.
b) Publicize their GATEWAYS e.g. FREE GATEWAY; INVITATION GATEWAY etc through the following process:
- Create a blog and/or website; then update the blog/website with your gateways and SFI marketing aids;
- Publish your blog and/or website through ad posting websites.
c) They should become team leader, they earn shares in the second home CSA every month.

16. Elevate their rank so they can access GREAT BENEFITS that ensures triving SFI business for them:
a) As an EA and above for example, you get 2 CSAs every month you re-qualify.
b) 10 Tcredits or more each month you re-qualify.
c) Get express attention as a team leader from SFI support team.

17. Get commissions on their activities:
a) Participate in SFI pay per action (SFIPPA) where you can earn up to $10 per qualified sign-up.
b) Get commission by referring people to become tripleClicks member and purchase items.
c) Encourage their downlines to re-qualify each month by signing-up for Standing Order, and you get the commission.

18. They should not quit. Quitters don't win and winners don’t quit.

When we look at the To-Do List many people miss the links that SFI has provided to go beyond just the Daily items. It is easy to see how to earn VP for the Daily, Weekly and Monthly items.

A little farther down are the items that many people miss regarding TripleClicks and Team Leadership & Support. We can motivate Affiliates by suggesting they notice that those two categories provide unlimited VP! Then if there is any doubt about how to earn those VP, we can suggest they click on the links provided (usually with the word "here" to click on).

The To-Do List is a much more powerful tool than at first glance.

As always, I insist that the best way to motivate affiliates is to lead them by examples. Be proud to point out to them what you do, why you do it and the results you are getting. Specifically, let them know how these results are helping your SFI business. Many of your affiliates will always like to emulate you and be motivated to do so if they see these facts as self-evident.

Aside from logging into your affiliate center and doing the To-Do chores, here now are some other things you should encourage your affiliates to do and the benefits they stand to derive there from.

1. Read all information in the Alerts page TO get up-to-date information on what is new and hot in SFI and at the Forum.

2. Play the Trivia Games TO have fun, compete with fellow affiliates and win valuable items.

3. Participate in Pricebenders Auctions TO win valuable products/items at up to 95% off shelf price. You also get VPs, MRPs and PSAs as rewards.

4. Promote your SFI Gateways daily TO help you enroll new PSAs to meet your duplication efforts and deepen your downline.

5. Promote your TripleClicks and other Gateways TO generate sales, help enroll PRMs, ECAs, Wave 3 Members and earn real commissions.

6. Become a Wave3 Member TO get products at special reduced prices, earn TCredits, Download music and get many other benefits.

7. Advertise your SFI business like hell TO help grow it rapidly.

8. Read all the lessons/information/articles available in SFI TO help broaden your knowledge about the business. As you already know, “readers are leaders.”

9. Be a member of and participate at the Forums TO help you interact with fellow affiliates, learn the business and share valuable information.

10. Join the a2a for friendship and social interactions TO help you get invaluable assistance and advice from fellow affiliates.

11. Communicate regularly with your Team Members as an invaluable responsibility you owe them as their sponsor TO inform, encourage and motivate them in the business.

From the foregoing, if your affiliates know what they can also do in SFI and the benefits available to them for doing so which you are getting yourself, that from my own thinking is enough to motivate them to get involved in these other things besides the To-Do list.
