I think the best way to contact an ECA prospective is by starting with the people who you know (direct contact) that owns a business and can market their products online. For example, last night I was talking to one of my girlfriend who informed me that she just opened up a boutique selling Jewelry. Well The first thing I did after our conversation ended was to send her the referral link so that she can start selling her products on TripleClicks.

As for the people you don’t know directly.

Hello Ovidio.

When looking at prospective ECA's you need to assess their business as to whether it will transform to direct sales easily.

A lot of the business for ECA's could be coming from a different country, so you may have to look at import and export laws and taxes along with distribution costs.

For example large heavy items would best be sold locally whereas smaller and lighter items would travel well.

Even so it could make the item totally unsuitable

My best strategy is the direct contact. However it would help tremendously if you first become ECA. Then you would have first hand knowledge of the Frequently Asked Questions and the sign up procedure.

Meet your prospect at a mutually agreed time. Be prepared and leave nothing to chance. With your personal knowledge of ECA business, you can answer all questions with your poscect and share some of your own experiences.

Because you have your own ECA store you can actually

Hi Ovidio,
Excellent question, as I has been on my mind for sometime.... because I consider sighing up ECAs a 'key' part of the SFI programme.

My way is to first identify a small company that produces lightweight items, that can be easily exported worldwide - thus reduce shipping costs.
Secondly, to find something that is 'appealing' to a wide market - and cost effective and competitive.

Then I have to organise a meeting with the 'owner', (again a small company does

The BEST place to Contact a Prospective ECA?

Well, this is an interesting question because when I began here at SFI, I asked myself the same question, until I started drive around one day looking at stores, thinking of the people that surround me on a daily basis. Almost everyone these days is selling on-line, so who do you invite to sell via your website, your e-commerce storefront? I decided to talk about it with businesses who have storefronts, or brick N Mortar, but also have e-commerce,

Person to Person -

It is best to visit them with an ECA brochure or flyer with your ECA gateway. Briefly explain that they can increase sales by placing their items for sale on a website. Also explain that the service is free so they have nothing to lose.

Internet -

For prospective ECAs that live out of your city, call them and ask them if they are interested in increasing their sales by using a free website. If they are then send them an e-mail explaining

Contact them the same way you would approach someone about SFI or TripleClicks.

Attempt to contact the location manager, the owner if possible. To either one, present your information in an intelligent, concise manner, with brochures to leave with them. Be thorough in your understanding of the ECA program so you can correctly answer any questions, or fend off objections. If you can get a commitment at that time, AWESOME! If not, be prepared to go back one more time in person, then follow

Best way to contact a prospective ECA is first Identify Prospective ECAs then contact their head office and ask for the marketing manager or the owner.

If you are asked for the reason then inform that you want to send an introduction brochure for a e commerce website where your product can be advertised.
Ask them who should be the proper contact to send the brochure. Then send a ECA brochure by post.

After a few days call the person and ask if he / she received the

First I would take a local phone book and see who has a decent website.

Also see if they carry some light weight products.

Send an email invitation to those that fit the above criteria.

The website should have who to call listed on it.Maybe the owners e-mail.

Send an SFI approved message.

Now get on your best suit or biz attire and call on 3 a day.

Bring plenty of literature.Bring your own laptop too.

These

Knowledge is power.
Know your product. Learn the ECA Sign up procedure. Carefully review all the FAQs.
Go through the set up process yourself. Be prepared.
I would have a flyer and a gift card available. If you have an SFI Payoneer card, even better.
Now, create your list of prospects for a day of face to face marketing.
or, create a phone list to make your calls.
set up an appointment.
Smile and remain positive, no matter the outcome of each contact.
