As Team Leaders, we carry the responsibility of knowing more than our team members mainly because of our position within the team. But we can’t be expected to know everything.

Being honest with our shortcomings and accepting of our limitations will be better in fostering trust and respect.

So, when a team member asks a question, and we don’t know the answer, we promise to find the answer for them and get back to them with the correct answer as soon as we're able.

First,search for the topic among the training materials in the Homepage to ensure you’re getting the correct answer.

Browsing through posts in the Forum and AsK SC for similar topic and finding the relevant answer would be very helpful to both of you.

Asking your knowledgeable and helpful a2a friends would add truth and credibility to the answer you will give to your team member.

Then try to treat this experience as part of your learning as well as empowering your team members by directing them where to search for future use, such as checking the new Search button at the Homepage for easy guidance.

Then contact your team member with the correct answer and share with him what you have done to get the answer he needs, so he will know what to do next time.

Lastly, when sending your weekly group mail, share this experience with your team and everyone will benefit.

Here is my answer to your question about how to provide the best and correct answer to questions from your team members.

First, as a Team Leader, I consider it very important to focus on providing correct information. When I answer questions from team members, even if I "think" I know the right answer, I always do some research in the SFI Affiliate Center to confirm that the answer is accurate and correct. This is very important.

1) Almost every answer we need can be found somewhere in the Affiliate Center. As a Team Leader, I consider it my responsibility to find and learn the correct answers to things. It is simply not good enough to tell a team member to look in the Affiliate Center for the answer. We should find the answer for them, and:

a) Tell them the answer to their question;

b) Tell them where in the Affiliate Center it can be found (so they can look it up themselves);

c) Ask them if it answers their question, or if they need further clarification.

2) I will admit that there are a few questions where direct answers cannot be found in the Affiliate Center. In those cases, I look to the SFI Forum and the ASK SC section for possible answers.

3) If I still cannot find a suitable answer, then I will submit an SFI support ticket to try to get the proper, authoritative answer.

As Team Leaders, it is very important that we, ourselves, know how to find answers and actually make the effort to find the answers to any and all questions put to us by our team members. It makes us stronger and makes our team stronger.

No affiliate should have the illusion that they know everything in SFI no matter how long they have been affiliates. Even the President and Founder of SFI Gery Carson himself humbly admits that he is still learning and developing the business day in, day out. As such, it is best for you and your team to admit that you do not know everything and are willing to find information any and everywhere it can be found in SFI.

If you do not have an answer to a team member’s question but you know how and where to find the answer, it makes you a very good sponsor/team leader. It is best for your team if you can quickly find the answer to the question asked to the benefit of your team members. In SFI, information is key to success so the search for information should not be stunted or limited.

You can easily find answers to any question in the following places in SFI.

Then you can source the many avenues that are available to us here at SFI.

Forum – At the SFI Forum you can get questions answered 24 hours a day by moderators, other SFI affiliates, and even president Gery Carson.

a2a friends- Exchange messages with your fellow SFI affiliates locally or worldwide and have your questions answered.

Ask Gery – Gery is always actively communicating and interacting with the field. He is also continually sharing his knowledge of marketing and business. Some of Gery’s most valuable advice has been compiled in the ‘Ask Gery’ section of the SFI Training Library.

Team mail –Team Mail uses SFI’s internal messaging system so that when your sponsor or other upline members log in at the Affiliate Center they will see your message or question and respond from right there.
Your sponsor/co-sponsor – Contact and communicate with your sponsor, co sponsor or upline team leader.
ASK SC,
Support Desk – For general questions this is what is recommended. Here, there is a variety of help and support resources including the powerful knowledge base that you can use to instantly dial up answers to hundreds of questions about SFI and TripleClicks.

This is a common incident especially if we are just beginning in our sponsoring. Don't panic and rest assured that the best and correct answer is available to your member who ask the question.

What is important is we bring them the desired answer in the best way we can and build our rapport to our affiliates. With this in mind I suggest that you find the answer in the following order.

1. You find firsthand information SFI website itself. There are two easy ways to do this. a) Using the search bar at the top of your name, usining keywords found on the question. b) Using site map at the bottom right of every webpage of SFI. It is a good practice that you yourslef fid the answer from the site. It will benefit you a lot.

2. If you can not find the answer yourself, ask your upline sponsors for the answer and if possible the link where he get the answer and read it yourself.

3. You look for secondary information from the SFI forum and from Ask SC. You use this only for additional information. Note that information from the forum may not be correct.

4. For questions that only SFI management can answer its always good to advise your affiliates to submit a ticket. Give him the link where to submit ticket. This implies that you should know how to identify questions for tickets.

First of all, I will assure my team member that I will get him the answer as soon as possible. There are few channels whereby I can get the information:

1) SFI Training material like SFI Basic, Launchpads and others.
2) Bring the question to the forums
3) Get the answer from my upline
4) Get the answer from my a2a friends
5) I can even Ask Gery if the above channels does not give me the right answer.

Meanwhile, I will also encourage my team member to find the answer himself through the above channels. It's always good to teach a person to catch the fish than to feed him the fish.

How you get the best and correct answer for your affiliate depends on the nature of the question.

For the technical questions, the answers are readily available in SFI. You will need to search for the answers if your uplines, friends A2A and forum cannot quickly direct you to them. When you find the answer and if possible give your affiliate the link to the answer not only so that what he/she get is accurate but also so that they will learn where to find answers in the future. These are clear cut answers to technical matters - black and white.

The other type of question is more like seeking advice, such as: - "how can I motivate my team" "which is the best method of collecting my commission" "what should I sell on my TC store" etc... There are no clear best answers for these type of questions. You can find recommended solutions in SFI,the Forum and ASK SC will give a variety of answers and so will your upline and A2A friends. What has worked for some people will not necessarily work for your affiliate.

You can make recommendations to your team member based on what you have learnt from others, your own pinion and your experiences. These are only recommendations and it is up to you affiliate to make the final decision.

Remember, your role is to help them help themselves. Whatever you do, don't spoon feed them. They need to learn to pick up the spoon an feed themselves.

Most answers to SFI questions are in front of you. It’s a matter of searching or asking. You can get the answers in the following ways:

I really like this question because when I first started at SFI I was constantly being asked questions by new members on my Team and frankly I didn't have many ready to relay answers. I had to really dig to find the appropriate answers and this is what any awesome sponsor would do; they look, hunt and research to find answers. There were times when I went to my Upline for answers. There were times when I asked a2a members or Support but I never failed to respond and I believe this is so very important...respond to questions or acknowledge a question or concern . You might not readily know the answer; in such a case simply tell the team member that you will get back with him or her with an answer and then be sure to get back as soon as possible (not days). Keep in mind that there is no reason to feel bad about not knowing all the answers. SFI is growing so fast that there will always be questions to be answered and the best way to keep up is for us to stay active and continue to read, learn, gather information and knowledge. We don't have to know it all or have all the answers but it's a good idea to at least know where to find the answer.

Also encourage your team to research on their own for answers; simply point them in the right direction by means of a SFI link. Let them know that soon members of their own team will be calling upon them for answers and they will need to know where to look and how to respond. The last thing you want to do is cripple members of your team by doing everything for them.

Encourage team members to visit the Forum, I've learned so much from the Forum and the ASK SC post, as well as all the free material SFI provides. If you do these things you will find that your knowledge base is larger than you originally thought.
