In order to understand how we can use Attraction Marketing to build our SFI business we first need to understand what Attraction Marketing is.
Attraction Marketing, believe it or not, is a skill most of us are born with. We all know how to communicate with other people in a way that makes a connection and that’s fundamentally what attraction marketing is.
Attraction marketing is about establishing a relationship and making a connection with other people. It’s about providing value and valuable information, about building trust and empathy, and about becoming an authority figure or an expert that others look up to. When people trust you, when they believe in you, when they feel you’re sincere and genuine and honest, and that you know what you’re talking about, that’s when they’re more likely to take up your recommendation to buy a product or sign up for something. In other words, you sell yourself first, not whatever it is you’re trying to sell. And once you’ve successfully sold yourself, people will be a whole lot more likely to buy what you’re trying to sell.
So how can we apply this to our SFI business?
The most obvious way to use attraction marketing to build your SFI business is through blogging or a website. These are extremely powerful tools in the right hands. If you don’t know to do it already, learn how to write so that your words make a profound connection with your audience. Provide value with what you write. Become an expert and offer (free) expert advice and experience to your readers. Supply information that they can use - in your posts, by way of a giveaway e-book or similar (preferably in exchange for their email address) or by newsletters that your readers can subscribe to.
Also don’t, or try not to, make your blog or site specifically about SFI and/or TC. There are thousands of those types of sites already out there – sites that exist purely to plug a particular opportunity or product and offer very little in the way of value. Instead, make your site a stand out by offering awesome information and advice about topics such as:
* being an online business owner,
* the advantages of working from home,
* the positives of Internet and network marketing,
* building a residual income in order to generate a full time income over time
and so on. General tips and tricks that anyone can use. Regular posts that are chock full of all-purpose advice to help make your readers better marketers and business owners in general.
Imbue your writing with your own personal experiences, share your passion and enthusiasm for this business, tell everyone how much it’s changing your life …. This is what people are ‘attracted’ to and that’s the vital ‘attraction’ part of Attraction Marketing. Put one or two SFI / TC banners or links to the side and maybe a couple of in-text links where you may be providing an ‘example’ of a company that does such and such or provides what you’re talking about and leave it at that. Let your readers get drawn in by your content to the point where they can’t help but want to find out what it is that has made you such an authority and fills you with such enthusiasm for what you’re doing.
You can also share your successes in the games and auctions in such a way that it makes people want to join in the fun and have what you’re having.
The same principles will also work with marketing TC products. Find products that you’ve used, and you’re excited about using. Talk about the benefits of using those products, how they work and why you love using them so much. Nothing sells better than GENUINE firsthand experience and passion about something. If you’re a clever writer you can also do the same thing with products you haven’t necessarily used before, that you know do provide value. Just do your research beforehand so that you are producing a credible, genuine and useful product review. Also provide negative feedback when necessary – this helps to build your credibility.
Social media is another vitally important platform for attraction marketing. Again, it’s all about creating relationships, building up a following of people who trust you, who are interested in what you have to say, who hang out for the valuable information and advice you regularly provide. Put social media buttons on your blog / website so that your readers can share your valuable content. Make a point of sharing your content yourself on your social media pages.
Create helpful webinars and How To video tutorials about the TC products you’re promoting or about SFI. Link to these from your site and social media pages.
Join forums, groups and business platforms associated with the topics or products you’re writing about. Offer helpful, informative advice that adds value to a discussion, create tips and tricks threads and just generally be a useful, helpful, authoritative forum or group member that other people enjoy ‘listening’ to and whose opinions they respect. If you’re allowed to, include a link to your blog or website in your signature. But never try and plug your business or your products directly in these places.
Make sure your presentation is consistent across the platforms you’re using. Use the same photo of yourself and make sure you’re immediately identifiable anywhere on the Internet. Brand yourself so if you can’t include links in your signature in forums people will still recognise who you are from your photo.
All of this works with face-to-face marketing too. If you prefer to market that way then become the local expert. Be that go-to person everyone seeks out. Have an information stand at appropriate functions in your area where you provide information and advice that is not overly promotional. Have SFI brochures, business cards and the like available should people want to take one but your stand should appear to your visitors as being there to help them, not market your business. Be a regular contributor to your local newspaper if possible. Make yourself available as a guest speaker at functions. And so on. There are plenty of ways you can market yourself so you stand out in your community in a positive way.
In other words, regardless of whether you're using a blog, a website, social media, video marketing or face-to-face marketing, the best way to use Attraction Marketing to build your SFI business is to brand and sell yourself first. And once you’ve successfully sold yourself, people will be a whole lot more likely to buy what you’re trying to sell or sign up for whatever you’re promoting – in this instance SFI and TC products.
