Hello Ashok

I am finding it quite interesting to answer this question. The reason is how can the way you approach prospective ECAs be different by country/region? It cannot be different because:

1. The people are same and similar human being in all countries/regions. They all sell similar things or equipments/items for examples books, clothing, electronics, groceries etc.

I would say "Yes" even though they are being guided by the same policies, terms and conditions under SFI. Propective ECAs should understand that

1. Products vary from countries to countries.
2. Not all have standard products even though they have some similarities
3. Shipping charges and subject to customs regulations.
4. Certain products are prohibited to be sold to certain countries and region.

Definitely yes.

1. Certain products are not allowed to be imported in certain countries. For example India, Pakistan do not allow to import
electronic products.
2. Currency variation has to be considered.
3. Shipping charges have to worked out.
4. Need to study the demand in particular country where we target the audience.
5. Should take care not to allow any ECA who might try to sell products banned by the government.

Yes, it is a factor to consider while approaching an ECAs.

But, factors one considers while approaching an ECA are product, market (local & global) and most importantly shipping. So, the approach varies from region to region and sometimes within the region as well.

The most important thing you consider while approaching any ECA is the product competency viz-a-viz price, demand and supply(including shipment).

The answer, it seems to me, is "it depends".

It depends on your marketing campaign and how you're trying to reach prospective ECAs.

A general marketing campaign to show the benefits of being a TripleClicks ECA would not need to be tailored to a specific country or region.

Similarly, a more targeted campaign that is trying to recruit ECAs in, for example, the retail jewelry segment, does not necessarily need to be tailored to a specific country or region.

Yes,I do think so!

It is good to keep in mind that our language and the way we use our words can bring a barrier if not understood the right way. It is also not so easy to know each and every Ecas mindset but we can always be careful in choosing words to express or ask a question politely so has not to offend anyone.

Do not stop asking questions even if your appraoch hasnt been good before,we learn from our mistakes and unless mistakes are made and given room-we dont learm quite

When approaching prospective companies to join your ECA program, it is best to have different ways in doing so.

You may need to "customize' your approach for recruitment for your ECA program not only for the country/region that a company is located in but please do consider the following factors that will influence/impact how you share the ECA program:

It is indeed an excellent idea to avail the opportunity of being an e-Commerce Affiliate (ECA) to any potential Online retail business person.

My personal approach is to leverage SFI's worldwide reach.

There are several markets for seeking ECAs.

I think it is better to concentrate on ECAs in a culture you are already familiar with. If you are targeting prospective ECAs in some other country besides your own, you had better be absolutely sure you know something about the culture of business in that country.

The short answer to this is No.

You see this is an international business and regardless of where you are located in this world, you can purchase items from TripleClicks. It doesn't matter what country or region the ECA is located.

I believe that we should approach and encourage all prospective ECAs to join TripleClicks. If they have products to sell lets invite them to join. TripleClicks does the final filtering of prospective ECAs before they are allowed to join.
