The one thing about the internet is great and very bad at the same time - it is faceless.

You can be whatever you want to be, whoever you want to be. Have you ever thought about what you would like to be if you were not shy?

I was a painfully shy child and teenager. I used to look at the other kids and see something I would love as part of my personality. I am a dreamer - so I would have these daydreams that I am not shy but sparkling and a people magnet. I used to see myself walking into a room full of people and immediately becoming the centre of attention.

After school I made a decision to fake it till I make it. I simply acted as if I was not shy. Eventually I realized it was not my shyness that held me back, it was confidence. I also realized that people have always been drawn to me - but not because of my sparkling personality but because I am a good listener (because I was shy and did not have the confidence to speak I listened and that was a great side effect)

It is OK to be shy but are you shy in every aspect of your life? If you are good at something you will have confidence and you will notice when confidence walks in shyness takes a hike. If you are not good at approaching people and selling to them the internet is the perfect place to do so. When you place an advertisement most of the people that sees it is not going to react, they are going to reject the idea but you won't even know it - all you will know is the people that reacted and who is interested to hear what you have to say / sell to them. Even then you still do not talk to them face to face. You can be the best salesperson in the world.

As far as the internet savvy is concerned - you will learn what you need to know. When I bought my 1st desktop the guy that delivered it had to set it up for me and then he had to show me how to start it!! Today I can help myself but there is so much more to learn and as soon as I think I know it all it turns out while I was learning this there were 10 more developments that took place and it will keep on happening because the internet changes all the time as IT developers develop new technology. Even a new state of the art laptop is outdated before the warranty expires.

Do not be scared to play around to learn skills and your shyness is not valid when you sit behind your computer - then you are THE ONE + a little extra.
Even the OROS man can sell himself as Mr World over the internet.

One of the biggest draws to enter into affiliate marketing is the fact that you can place an ad and never say a word to anybody.

Purchased ads from trusted ECA's, classified ad sites, business cards, flyers, bulletin boards, etc. One does not have to be internet savvy to post an ad or make a purchase of hits.

Take business cards with you everywhere you go. Leave them on tables when you leave.

Once I checked a site with a view to putting in an ad, and to my horror and disgust, I ended up joining a date site!

So for a shy and not internet savvy person, the best methods to grow business is to buy a share in S-Builder Co-op, PSAs To Go, or from reputable and professional ECAs. You'll get PSAs regularly from the S-Builder Co-op, and you don't need to have experience and time and know-how to put in a global ad.

SFI provides free websites, your Homepage and TripleClicks, so there's really no need to worry about building your own as it can get very costly and complicated if you don't know how to go about it and manage it.

For anybody who is in this business and has a twin problem of being shy and not internet savvy is in a terrible business handicap.

For a man that is not internet savvy but is bold, fluent and outgoing: he could profitably use such ability in offline marketing and get quality PSAs and PRMs. What he just needs to do is direct his prospects to register or make purchase through his url. That would be great business asset.

Also being internet savvy is what a man can use to override his shyness. There are many platform on the internet where direct communication is not required. Your knowledge of SEO, blogging, internet marketing etc would have helped.

Realistically, a man cannot make any headway with these twin problem at the same time. The way out is to undergo self improvement in overcoming these deficiencies.

By reading and listening to motivational speeches, you can significantly improve your sense of self esteem and confidence and thus overcome the problem of shyness.

Becoming a computer guru is just a matter of learning and practicing. You can even enroll in a computer school and polish your internet skills.

For offline marketing,even to your family and friend you should not be shy and to make headway online you should be computer savvy.

This is like wanting to get something for nothing. In order for your business to grow, you’ll have to make certain sacrifices.

Nowadays you can practically learn anything you want to on the internet, just take it one day at a time. All that you need to know can be learnt in a very short time. All it takes is dedication and commitment.

I build my business by attracting prospects online, encouraging them to commit their time and effort to building their own business, and then giving them as much help as they need, for as long as they need it.

The key is finding the right type of prospect. Look for those who have a burning desire for something that is 'do-able', but currently out of their reach, and explain how SFI can help them move closer to that prize.

By using the right ads in the right places you can attract the right type of prospects without necessarily talking to your warm market - people you know. In fact, because so many people are aware that 97% of people who try to make money online fail, those you know may expect you to fail, so you may not always get the affirmation you hope for. I do talk to my warm market about my business now, but I did not do so until I had established myself through online prospecting.

Now, I don't mean this as an insult to people who are shy or who are new to the Internet, but the best thing you can do is learn to overcome those limitations. One way or another, you have to be able to get your Gateway links out to people, and you've got two major options: talk to people and tell them about your links, or using the internet to share those links, whether on blogs, in classified ads, on facebook, or wherever you go. Learn about the Internet, and you will grow your business because you will understand that portion of your market better.

Otherwise, your only options are "blind" methods, like distributing and posting fliers, and those are generally not as effective--they cost you money for printing, and they rarely give you the same exposure you can get for free by sharing links online.
