The best way to get your affiliates to become serious in SFI is to lead by example. Do not try to get your affiliates to do something you are not doing or you are unwilling to do.

Show your affiliates you are serious about building your SFI business and encourage them to do the same. Explain exactly how you got to the position you are in, and tell them how you can help them to get to the same position.

With your help and guidance you should be able to encourage your affiliates to follow your example and start making money for themselves and also for you.

Early in their SFI career you will need to explain to them the need to have a standing order for 1500VP. Once they have this commitment then you can offer them any extra help they need.

Everyone has a need that drives them to do things in certain ways in order to achieve or fulfill that need. In SFI, you're required to set this driving need inform of goals. To some it is to become wealthy, to another, to be out of debt and yet for others it could be to improve ones standard of living. Getting your affiliates to believe that SFI is the vehicle through which these needs will be met and by committing to do the daily, weekly and monthly tasks, recruiting others buying and selling products from tripleclicks etc will keep them motivated and serious to building their businesses working with the end in mind.

Simply put, attaining and maintaining a leadership rank by setting up a standing order; recruiting 5 motivated affiliates like himself through SBuilder, PSA to go or direct one on one recruitment and then teaching them rinse and repeat the process.

Great question, Carl!

I'll answer this like any other, personally.

Your question is how do you get your affiliates to become serious business builders in SFI.

(I'm laughing, so read this with levity.) You have nothing to do with how serious they are when they sign up. (done laughing now.)

In all seriousness, and with due respect to your question, you and I have NO CLUE where an affiliate is in life. Until they speak what they feel, we can only guess. They may well have come in and signed up to get the $2.00 promised them at the PPC (Pay Per Click) association they "work" at. Your new affiliate might be someone like myself whom is truly looking for serious reputable income online, or they might just be earning pennies on the dollar, clicking and joining to make a fast five bucks. You cannot know this until they speak their feelings and intentions.

SFI training is very clear about this situation. Work with the workers. Lead the Leaders. DUPLICATION.

Step back and watch. You go on about being the true leader YOU are, do the SFI Basics, communicate with your team using the Stream, or group emails. Never stop watching. When someone gets close to being an EA (Executive Affiliate), but stop shy by 200-300 VersaPoints, and you can see by their VP report that they have not taken advantage of the daily To-Do List, then send out a GROUP newsletter teaching daily To-Do item check off.

Trust me, Carl, your future Platinum Leaders will show up loud and clear. Some will, some won't. So what?!? Who's next!! Someone will show up. Those that will, AND show up, well, then, THOSE you Lead!! Point the way, support them all, point the way, and your leaders will show up.

It's all in the numbers. If you keep bringing the SFI possibility out to the masses, your leader will show up. Nothing you can do one way or the other will change the sorting that occurs when the playing field is leveled. As is in life, both personally and professionally, the leaders show up. Given 500 in mass, you will have maybe 15-25 that will no doubt sort themselves to be outstanding individuals. They can no more stop themselves from leading than you can. Likewise with the general mass that follows. Some lead, some wait to see how it goes for the leaders before they dare bare a toe to the current of the river. So what? Get the possibility out there, and you will catch the one whom is hungry for his or her answer to the very serious factor of SFI, their individual WHY they see SFI as an answer to the trouble they may be facing in life.

You may wake a sleeper. Never give up on the no-show. Read when they submit their commitment letter to you. Address that on an individual basis. If they understand that you read about them personally and show that you support and believe in them, even after months of inactivity, you may just be the breath of life they were starved for, the small flame that ignites their passion, their fire, their chance to see the possibility in SFI for themselves.

Along the way, Carl, be the man. Be the leader they can look up to and respect. Show them by DOING and BEING the one that has walked the path and done the small steps. There is no doubt this will bring you to the success that they are looking to achieve for themselves.

It depends on their level of motivation. if they are motivated you will know by their activities since sign up. You can reward them for a good job and motivate them to do better if they are not motivated

You cannot force them to do anything unless they are motivated or because it is what they want to pursue in the first place.

Get to know what their goals are. If it is to build a business, show them the way. It is important that serious business people are prepared to invest time and money. Guide them so that they are able to invest time and money wisely.

-Be sure they know about the getting started actions and how to the Fast Track their way up the ladder.
-Offer your help and be ready to help.
-Be a good sponsor.
-Respond promptly
-Show them where to find business building tools

Lead by example, it will be easier if you are successful as a business person at SFI

- Give them a share in a Co-op advertising to help them build a team of affiliates.

-Keep your leadership page up-to-date and keep the lines of communication open between you.

I would imagine this question probably ranks in the top ten for anyone with a down line.

The simple truth is....you can’t!

As the saying goes, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”

The most each of us can do as a business leader is to present to our Team, the wonderful opportunity that SFI represents.

But ultimately it’s up to the Affiliate whether they make something of it or not.

We cannot force him or her to take advantage of it.

Leading your affiliates to become serious business builders in SFI requires skills and good qualities of leadership.

As their Team Leader you should exhibit the following skills and qualities if you want your affiliates to follow you and become serious in building their own SFI businesses:

- Passion

Sharing your passion and enthusiasm with your affiliates can help you motivate them to become more productive. Passion comes in many forms ranging from:

1. Being keen about your affiliates accomplishments giving them praise no matter how small could that be.

2. Showing constant positive attitude to keep your affiliates motivated and keep the energy levels up. You can share your positive thoughts through the Stream Posts as well as your enthusiasm about the latest news in SFI.

3. Being an inspiration to them.

One way of showing them that you’re a serious business builder and inspire them is through your badge. As a Team Leader you’re a living example to them. Direct them to your Leadership page to see for themselves your achievements in building and expanding growth of your SFI business. You should always include your Leadership page link in every time you communicate with your affiliates. Your Top Enroller badges, Power Rank, VersaPoints leaderboard, etc are means of showing your determination, persistence and most of all your commitment. Your badges as displayed in your JMT gateway is another indicator how serious you are in building your business.

- Communication

You need to be able to describe clearly and succinctly how to build and expand the growth of owning their SFI businesses. Training your affiliates and creating a productive work environment all depend on healthy lines of communication. Make sure that they understand SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD, which are very important principles in establishing and building upon their SFI businesses. Always offer your support and be consistent in sending them your tips and advice. Ask how you can help them, to show that you care for them.

Encourage them to participate in SFI Forum and become and active contributor in Ask SC. This will create an environment of connection where your team members feel valued.

- Acknowledge and Reward

People love recognition, but are most appreciative of respect. Take the time to give your affiliates the proper accolades they have earned and deserve

At a time when people want to feel as if they are making a difference, be a thoughtful Team Leader and reassure your team that you are paying attention to their efforts. One way of showing this is by reassigning active affiliates to one of your most active EA2s or awarding Gift Certificates/TC Credits for maintaining EA2. You may also reward your affiliates when they become Team Leaders by offering them to your Ad Co-op or S-Builder. As Team Leaders of their own profitable teams, they have their own vested interest in keeping their businesses. Your action shows that you’re serious in building your SFI business, an example to them.

Being genuine in your recognition and respect goes a long way towards building loyalty and trust. It organically ignites extra effort!

Affiliates will tend to be serious if they realise the potentials here at SFI and the most obvious potential is the possibility of earning a reasonable and continuous income stream. The challenge is therefore your ability to expose these potentials to your affiliates and encourage them to take advantage of them.

First, you have to develop a clear path to success for your affiliates to understand and follow. Describe what they need to do on a daily, weekly, monthly and on continuous basis in order to take advantage of the potentials of success as laid down in the SFI business model. This will be helpful because one of the reasons affiliates are not serious is the lack of understanding of the system and how to apply their understanding to building a successful business.

Secondly, you need to encourage them not to let up on any aspect of this business; they need to login daily or regularly, do some reading of important materials, place ads regarding TC products, referrals, and SFI signups. If they become used to how these are done, they may find it interesting and take up the challenge to work harder in order to improve their chances of success.

Thirdly, encourage them to take the 3 basics steps seriously; become EA, recruit 5 active affiliates and teach them to do the same. Guide and assist them to realise these steps and let them be aware that the beginning of building a successful business starts with these 3 basic steps.

Fourthly, another major aspect of getting your affiliates serious is to inform them of the benefits of being serious affiliates like what is in for them if they maintain EA status, signup active PSAs, PRMs, ECAs, SFIPPA. Their seriousness in this regard is to consistently pursue these aspects because the probability of success lies on persistence and determination.

Fifthly, you must be a serious affiliate yourself to have the trust to encourage your PSAs to be serious themselves, so there is need for you to use yourself as a testimony of a serious affiliate that resulted in your being successful.

On the sixth point, you may need to reward success or seriousness within your downline in order to motivate them to be more serious in forging ahead. Reward is a very important aspect of motivation, which in turn encourages hard work and seriousness.
