Time is the one thing we always think we have, until we don't have it anymore.

In a perfect world, you have started to create residual long term income BEFORE you have found yourself needing it.

You'll read in many places that the time frame needed to create a fair business base is somewhere between two and five years. This can be done if you are diligent about recruiting new PSA, PRM and ECA'S.

The reason you aren't going to get a set in stone answer is because you have not disclosed the financial amount you are investing in SFI.

I have been investing, and devoting hours of time to SFI. I can tell you that after developing 7 Team Leaders and roughly 3-4 EA, I am recieving a commission from SFI that is around $100 or so a month. This has taken me roughly 3-4 months of diligent effort.

I can also tell you that in my business growth plan, I'm barely on the first step. The result I seek is more in the range of $20,000 per commission check.

My answer to your question is simple. You earn with every effort you put forth. The time frame you use to build, and the development you put into those you sponsor; this will pay off.

Will it happen in the first year? For the vast majority of SFI Affiliates, no. For the diligent, steadfast patient builder, maybe in two years time. More likely, between two to five years.

Create a sound business development plan. Implement it. Stick with it when you feel it is going slow. Review it every month, change small things if they do not create the result you ate seeking.

If done right, you will find three years have passed by and you have a marginal income. You're also sure to have many new friends, and a deep commitment to finish building you residual income.

This question , to me, is answered very short and directly.

1. Set-up a Standing Order of the following:

This Affiliate would very soon see results. Even if he was NOT active! Once he sees his team become active, trust me, he'll begin to make time to get his act together and lead!

I dream of such an Affiliate! All he really needs to do is have a WHY this reason is important to him to make it work.

Time is not required, truly.

It certainly enhances his chances of being successful, but there are some PSA that simply do NOT need daily supervision, Affiliates that see the possibilities that SFI offers, Affiliates that will succeed no matter the direction and care given from above.

The Genealogy page is my all time favorite page, as far as where I spend my time "working" in my business.

The front page gives me a great overview of which level of my team is performing most actively. I change Sort by: to Last Login, and dsc. This tells me from the top of the list going down, who is most active in my team. I'll change this to VersaPoints (this month) to see which affiliates are actively gaining VP, or doing the things needed to be done to become EA.

When I run across an affiliate that has recently logged in, yet has zero VP, I then know to look at their Affiliate Snapshot. First thing I am looking for is a language barrier. If I find that their primary language is NOT English, I'll send them an email, and use google translation, and send them an email in their native language. If I can find a related video in the same language that explains how to work SFI, I will include a link to that video for them, as well as advice them of the translator button found on most SFI pages.

I use the Genealogy page to send out e-cards, and team mails. This allows me to encourage my team, or give an affiliate personal attention. SFI truly has developed a very nice format with the Genealogy page.

The most used of all my options at Genealogy, is the Reassign key. I take hours to determine where to assign new affiliates. This helps me create momentum on my team. I happily reassign PSA to ANY affiliate that has taken time to become EA, and to establish a Standing Order. It's one of the few tools I have available to reward those on my team willing to create DUPLICATION.

Play with the features on Genealogy! It's eye opening, seeing what countries folks live in, what their native language is. You can even get a snapshot of the sales each affiliate has made.

In closing, I must admit, I very rarely send an email from my gmail account to SFI affiliates on my team. When using Genealogy to send out my mailings, there is that critical OPT-OUT feature. It's no secret NONE of us want to have an affiliate OPT-OUT, however, I'd rather that feature be available for use than not. I want my team to know the option is open to them. In a very discreet manner, this is my way of allowing them full choice in the matter, and letting them know that I am interested in keeping a team that CHOOSES to stay a team member.

Without a doubt, in the beginning of your time at SFI, E365 contest is not just fun, but it proves challenging to stay in contention!

For those who are truly wanting to take advantage of the prizes, or even the top prize, and fail to stay in the contest, there is a Second Chance Program designed to allow them re-entry!

Here it is:

SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM
All affiliates who joined SFI on or after the debut of E365 on August 1, 2011, if eliminated from the contest during the first five rounds, may get back into the contest by attaining the rank of Bronze Team Leader (BTL) within their 60th day of joining SFI. Upon meeting the BTL qualification, affiliate will be immediately inserted into the Finalists Drawings and will remain eligible until affiliate's 365th day in SFI provided affiliate maintains the minimum rank of BTL. If at any time affiliate loses their BTL status, the affiliate is permanently eliminated from E365.

Now, should they fail to maintain BTL throughout the remaining 11 month time frame, there is yet more hope for them. I have cheered the E365 Champion that comes in at the Number 2 spot in his/her class. This happens when someone gets a slow start. Maybe they learn slower, maybe they had something personal come up, which distracted them from SFI.

Maybe it just occurred to them later in the game just what an opportunity they had their hands on. Somehow, they learned what was possible, and lit a fire under themselves, and took off with the attitude we all should have every day, the winning attitude. The attitude that says, "I CAN do this, and I will."

Everyone comes in with equal footing, the possibility, the opportunity. It is the same for me as it is for you. No matter our circumstances, it is on you, or I, to make of SFI what we CHOOSE.

Personally, I am the best cheerleader, and a great supporter of each of my PSA. I want to see them reach the top tier of SFI. Not just for me, but for themselves, and their affiliates. Everyone loves a winner!!

I can't even fathom why you would NOT sponsor someone from another culture than yours. SFI is a GLOBAL company, and already has hundreds of Affiliates from every corner of our round earth!

What is most desired in your sponsored Affiliate is the following:

1. A desire to better their life.
2. A drive to work to achieve success.
3. Access to the internet.
4. The ability to learn, which, honestly, is the ability to READ. (SFI offers the most comprehensive library of learning material simply found by doing the LAUNCHPAD, BASICS and Daily To-Do List. Utilizing the translation may need to be explained.)

All of these traits are HUMAN traits. It matters not where one lives. The human spirit is a truly magnificent thing!

Sponsor to your hearts content, and encourage those you sponsor to become EA. Teach them how to sponsor to their hearts content, and to teach those they sponsor how to become EA. This is the very CORE of SFI. Duplication! It's magic!

Benefits you receive will greatly surpass the effort you take to overcome a concern about the language or cultural differences. Having built a business of Affiliates from across the global span will render your business much stronger to endure any economically weak time frame.

I can see NO reason that your SFI business would suffer from having Affiliates from anywhere in the entire world.

That being said, Yes, yes yes yes, it is very much worthwhile to sponsor Affiliates regardless of their language or location! DO IT, and I will see you at the top!!

I always use SFI mail, email, via the genealogy link.

Here are my reasons:

1. I want to be sure that the communication I am having with my PSA group is consistent with the guidelines SFI has in place. Every email communication through SFI is reviewed. It keeps everything above board between myself, my Affiliates, and SFI. For me, this is a green light.

2. When the Affiliate receives the email, it is clearly identified as SFI related. There is no confusion caused, and everything, again, is good between myself, SFI, and my Affiliate.

3. I have not yet been able to set-up an opt-out button on my personal email. I have, however, once when using my personal email format, received a request from an Affiliate to cancel the membership. When I use SFI email format, on the bottom, there is a nicely written opt-out paragraph that takes care of this issue neatly and cleanly. I am not the one then, who is deleting the Affiliate. He/she has the opportunity to take care of this critical decision for themselves. I much prefer that. (I would HATE to have to make that choice for someone else, or even take that action.)

4. Sometimes, an Affiliate does opt-out. If this happens, contacting them again would be grounds for having yourself removed from SFI. Using SFI mail system, rather than your own private email system, will exclude Affiliates who have cancelled their accounts from your mailing. This ensures that you are not violating SFI policy.

Great question, Carl!

I'll answer this like any other, personally.

Your question is how do you get your affiliates to become serious business builders in SFI.

(I'm laughing, so read this with levity.) You have nothing to do with how serious they are when they sign up. (done laughing now.)

In all seriousness, and with due respect to your question, you and I have NO CLUE where an affiliate is in life. Until they speak what they feel, we can only guess. They may well have come in and signed up to get the $2.00 promised them at the PPC (Pay Per Click) association they "work" at. Your new affiliate might be someone like myself whom is truly looking for serious reputable income online, or they might just be earning pennies on the dollar, clicking and joining to make a fast five bucks. You cannot know this until they speak their feelings and intentions.

SFI training is very clear about this situation. Work with the workers. Lead the Leaders. DUPLICATION.

Step back and watch. You go on about being the true leader YOU are, do the SFI Basics, communicate with your team using the Stream, or group emails. Never stop watching. When someone gets close to being an EA (Executive Affiliate), but stop shy by 200-300 VersaPoints, and you can see by their VP report that they have not taken advantage of the daily To-Do List, then send out a GROUP newsletter teaching daily To-Do item check off.

Trust me, Carl, your future Platinum Leaders will show up loud and clear. Some will, some won't. So what?!? Who's next!! Someone will show up. Those that will, AND show up, well, then, THOSE you Lead!! Point the way, support them all, point the way, and your leaders will show up.

It's all in the numbers. If you keep bringing the SFI possibility out to the masses, your leader will show up. Nothing you can do one way or the other will change the sorting that occurs when the playing field is leveled. As is in life, both personally and professionally, the leaders show up. Given 500 in mass, you will have maybe 15-25 that will no doubt sort themselves to be outstanding individuals. They can no more stop themselves from leading than you can. Likewise with the general mass that follows. Some lead, some wait to see how it goes for the leaders before they dare bare a toe to the current of the river. So what? Get the possibility out there, and you will catch the one whom is hungry for his or her answer to the very serious factor of SFI, their individual WHY they see SFI as an answer to the trouble they may be facing in life.

You may wake a sleeper. Never give up on the no-show. Read when they submit their commitment letter to you. Address that on an individual basis. If they understand that you read about them personally and show that you support and believe in them, even after months of inactivity, you may just be the breath of life they were starved for, the small flame that ignites their passion, their fire, their chance to see the possibility in SFI for themselves.

Along the way, Carl, be the man. Be the leader they can look up to and respect. Show them by DOING and BEING the one that has walked the path and done the small steps. There is no doubt this will bring you to the success that they are looking to achieve for themselves.

Thank you for asking this question. I cannot speak for everyone. I won't even try. I'll be as straight forward as I always on, please forgive me if it comes across blunt. I'm very direct in my style. I mean no harm. I want your success, you work hard for it.

To clarify, you are asking if you should advise your new PSA to slow down and not qualify as Team Leaders so quickly.

Very clearly, NO.

By advising someone whom may or may not have the financial means or the mental strength, or the sheer determination to be the absolute best at what they do, you are inadvertently making a judgement about the capability of your new affiliate. I must ask, whom am I to judge the ability or drive of anyone? Whom are any of us to place restriction on another?

The bare facts are simple. If the Affiliate sees possibility in SFI anywhere remotely near the possibilities I see in SFI, no one and nothing will stand in their way. There's a saying, "Lead or get out of the way, and let someone who WILL lead take charge."

Their success means your success. No matter whether you know the affiliate on a personal level or not, they can read. It's very clear that there are many sweet VersaPoints sitting on the table to be taken at will the first month. After even two days of reading, it's sjust as clear that month two, three and four will not be nearly as lucrative in VP collection. Affiliates can see that, and perhaps a note in a newsletter to the entire team will get this information to the affiliates without taking the wind out of the sails of a serious Fast Track affiliate, a possible future Platinum Team Leader, whom is on your team.

I'd be remiss to advise you to do anything other than step aside and cheer the go-getter on!! His or her success is directly effecting your success!!

Get out the banners and bullhorn, sister, and direct this battering Ram on the right path and cheer until he or she makes it to the point where they see their ability run start to falter. Then, step behind them, remind them of their courage and strength, state your belief in them, and cheer them on some more!!
