Sponsoring is very important! It’s like building an army that contributes for your big empire! Having many PSA will grant your SFI business to its fullest! I appreciate you for such a wonderful question, me too waiting for the tons of answers for this question.

In my both option is good, but I suggest you to refer more PSA's to SFI, because once the member joins as PSA under you , he will become TC member too by default, so that you can get both the benefits in long term, provided that the PSA should stay active.
If you refer only TC member you only will get DC from the purchase, but if he/she is a PSA then you

Both are equally important for these create the streams for your Income.Our Income comes in two forms Residue Income which it Income coming in month after month year after year by doing an action once.This is supplied by your PSAs.
When you have developed an active team you also gain matching VP which goes in to the executive pool as shares the results are commissions for you.Your PSAs also are your PRMs and you also earn from their purchases at your store.

Sponsoring SFI affiliates is the best. SFI is mainly about Residual and leverage Income.
1. Residual Income is income that keeps coming in month after month, year after year, from work you do just ONCE.
2. Leveraged Income is earning money through other people's efforts. There are only 24 hours in a day. Hence, there's only so much you can earn through your own efforts. But with SFI, you can earn Leveraged Income (in the form of "override" commissions) when affiliates

No doubt, sponsoring SFI Affiliates is better, because you get commissions from your down line (All PSAs & CSAs) up to 12 levels from all over the world as long as they are in SFI. Here you have immense potential for earning. Once you recruit an Affiliate, he and his down line up to 12 levels are your lifetime customers. Even when you are not doing anything your income goes on increasing.

From your referred TripleClicks members you get commission and VersaPoints for their purchases,

Reffering Tripleclicks members is just as good as sponsoring.
1. Pesons like playing the games on Tripleclicks and then they end up joining SFI
because they want more and note that we are always promoting
new stuff that only members can particiapate in fully.

Sponsoring affiliates help you to start duplicating your efforts and gain team leaders status
when you get five others to reach EA status and then start earning commissions.

Well Sponsoring SFI affiliates and referring TripleClicks members the same can earn you income.

On my own, the difference between the two is:

1.Sponsoring SFI affiliates - sponsoring is a common way on how to fell the leverage of income. But then one thing, the most benefited from sponsoring is learning.Because you will never be a good sponsor if you will not have much learning. And that's true riches is, 'WISDOM".

As you can see that SFI major action is to promote Tripleclicks stores and for any SFI affiliate you referred or sponsored will automatically be tripleclick member since their rewards to active affiliates lies actions or auction taken at tripleclick stores through the process of buying and selling of their goods.
More so, for any action done on tripleclick website, as a SFI affiliate you will not only earn income or rewards on tripleclick but also earn on SFI. These rewards

You put this question under compensation category, and if in term of compensation, both are good but first you have to know your prospect interest.
If your prospect need extra income, then introduce SFI program.
If your prospect interested on electronics then probably use auction program.
