In my opinion that is almost impossible to do. If there was a way I could "turn" people's mindset I would have been millionaire by now.

The only one that can change a mind is the person himself (herself). All you can do is try and give your PSAs the confidence they need to believe in themselves. Most people brought up with the idea that we have different "groups" of people.. Leaders and followers..

But from within we are all the same,.. The difference between a leader and a follower is MINDSET ! If you want something bad enough nothing can stop a leader from getting there as a follower convinces himself he could never do that or acquire that..

Show your PSAs the success stories in the forum,.. The leadership pages,.. the contest winners.. SHow them that they are not "superhumans" but just people like you and me..

You can not change somebody's mind (easily) but you CAN convince people of their capabilities.. They have to decide that they want to succeed before they can actually succeed !

Please keep in mind, everybody will not share the same visions you may have. On the surface, it may seem as if everyone should jump at the chance of being in business for themselves, but it just isn't that way at all. It's just not that simple!

The "Employee Mentality" is what we are most accustomed to having. After all, isn't that the more common teaching we receive growing up? Think about it. How common is it that we are encouraged to finish high school, go on to college, get a degree to find a good paying job? The plain truth is, we are groomed early on in our lives towards becoming "dependent" financially, not "independent" financially!

Truth is, the desire for independence must be in them already. If it is not, then it will be difficult, if not impossible, for you to remove the "Employee Mentality" from them.

Therefore, my suggestion to you is to give them what you know. Explain the concept of SFI/TripleClicks, and what it has done for you and what it can do for them. In your explanation, give them the key points such as free to join, length of time company has been in business, the success of SFI and it's global presence.

You'll also want to point out to them that despite it being free to join, there is a level of commitment to work that comes with the "free" marketing and training they receive and from time-to-time, they may have to invest relative small amounts of money to increase the level of success they hope to achieve.

Get the point I'm making? You must give them what's in your power to give them. They are the only ones who can turn their "Employee mentality...to a BUSINESS OWNER mentality." But you would have done your job!

Let them clarify to clear their views about the difference in between Employee and Business Owner. Teach them properly the advantages and disadvantages in both cases in the following ways

Employee – as an employee you are unable to go out of the specific bindings provided by your employer. You are bound to abide by some pressurized Rules and Regulations by your employer in spite of unwillingness. You are also bound to give explanation in every step and in each time to your superior. You are unable to take any progressive decision in proper time without consent of your boss/superior. You are unable to absent or go to a vacation mode as you wish without prior permission of your boss. You have to maintain a fixed duty hours daily. As an advantage you are eligible to get a fixed monthly salary. But above all you are always a dependent of someone

Business Owner –as a business owner you are quiet liberal. You are absolutely free from any obstruction. No bossing, red eyes, explanation to give to anybody regarding your work. You are not bound to maintain a fixed time daily. You can complete your daily routine task in your convenient time in a day of 24 hours. Earn comfortably in one hand and spend more time to your family and children on the other. Go to a vacation mode as you like and wish. There is nobody to ask you the reason of your doings

Above all is a very tough job to change one’s mentality in any case. But you would be able to turn one’s mentality or thinking to utilize a proper teaching. If you are able to clarify the above to your affiliates properly there would be every possibilities to turn your affiliates Employee mentality to a business owner mentality

After clarifying the above teach them about duplication, sponsor or recruit affiliates, random advertising process of their business in several sites including social network, advance their rank as an EA in each month and gather peoples to TripleClicks to generate Sales/Purchase

The above method would served two purposes – you would be successful to change your affiliate’s mentality and they would be able to earn money comfortably as a business owner

How do you turn affiliates' EMPLOYEE mentality...to a BUSINESS OWNER mentality?

Do your team members, or even you, still have an employee mentality when it comes to running your business? The employee mentality is a hard habit to break.

So how do you get around that and help your team members start acting like business owners and not employees?

The answer is, nurture the business owner mentality within your team. Coupled with good leadership skills, lead by examples, you should be able to differentiate the Leaders and an employee/workers. What are the difference between employee and business owner mentality?

Traits of people with an employee mentality:
•I work for a paycheck.
•There’s no need to give more than I have to, because the company will take advantage of me.
•The business is lucky to have me.
•Somebody is mandated to take care of me.
•I am entitled simply because I work here.
•I only do what I am told to do.

Even some business owners have an employee mentality. When an employer does not sacrifice personal preference for the good of the business, that employer has an employee mentality.

Here are some traits of the business owner mentality:
•I have a big picture view of the greater good I do with my work and realize that wages is the outcome of the good I do. Simply put, my work brings me great personal satisfaction.
•When I go the extra mile, I am doing it because it helps the business and the people we serve.
•I am blessed to be a part of this company.
•It is my responsibility to see that my job is done to my greatest capability with every patient every day. Nobody can do this for me.
•Entitlement is not a word in my vocabulary. I understand that I receive wages for my efforts, and while fringe benefits are nice, they can disappear if the business is not profitable.
•I understand that there are times when my own personal agenda may be interrupted for the good of the people we serve.

You would love to have a team of staff members with a business owner mentality. Such members are self-motivated, do not feel a sense of entitlement, and have the drive to give more than is expected for the good of the business. They understand that if the business does well, they will ultimately benefit too.

I don’t think one has to be a business owner to develop a business owner mentality. It comes down to understanding the business, understanding that business cycles often change our routines, and most importantly, you need a team members who care about his/her business.

So – do you have an employee mentality or a business owner mentality? It may take some people a long time to actually understand and accept the difference, but once they do, they’ll realize that being a business owner, and owning that mentality, will be a big benefit in how they work their business.

Hi there

This is an excellent question and though it might seem like a daunting task, most of the work is normally done for you already.

Try guide the affiliates to at least getting to EA2 status (which can be done without any investment from their side). Then also get them to join Wave3 on TripleClicks.

The reason for these two actions is that it turns an online opportunity into something real all of a sudden. Why? Because upon becoming an EA2, they get awarded two CSA (sponsored affiliates). Now suddenly they have people under them that they need to manage...instantly they become the 'business owner' you are trying to make them, whether they like it or not!

Then with the Wave3 membership, you get posted the vehicle decal and once they have that in hand and on their vehicle, it will start making them feel like a business owner subconsciously.

From there guide them as much as you can but do not overdo it as this will make them still feel like a follower and not so much a leader. Give them pointers on sponsoring and leadership rather than how-to's.

I feel that the challenge for most people to make the transition from employee to business owner is that they are used to making money by showing up to work and getting a paycheck. That is how they have been preconditioned to make money so any other form of creating income to them just doesn't make sense to even bother with.

Some people would point out that there are many more people working,than are in business so why not just join the masses.
Business owners think very differently from employees. Business owners are in business for more than just money
This is probably one of the things most people fail to understand about business owners and entrepreneurs.
Money has never been the biggest motivator. Money pays the bills, puts food on the table, sends kids to school, and pays the mortgage, but it will not be a source of fulfilment and never will. Business owners end up going into business for themselves for a variety of different reasons. The most common ones are security, control of their time, lifestyle, efficiency and tax benefits.

For the very successful business owners their motivation is usually something that is emotional to them. It could be a dream or a goal they have for their life or maybe a vision for where they could see themselves ten or twenty years down the road.
Business owners are not scared of failure; they embrace it. They understand that failing is often the only way to learn in business especially if you have no mentor or coaching along the way.
Thomas Edison when first attempting to invent the light bulb stated about his failed attempts that he had not failed, but just found 10,000 ways that didn't work. That's ownership mentality. They understand the opposite of success is not failure, it's quitting.

Business owners are mentally tough and understand delayed gratification. This can be linked to the previous point about embracing failure as a friend. Business owners are in business for the long haul which is why the reward is even sweeter. The nature of any business is that profit is not something you should expect in the first two to five years. They do understand that if they can make it through the initial hump of failure then success is right around the corner. This once again goes back to the strong desire they have for getting into business.

Most people with a job mentality are very well-educated and as a result think that everything including making money should be complicated too. The truth is, however, that success in life is very simple. Anything you are consistent at long enough you will be successful at. Think about this for a second. We all know how to get six pack abs. If you don't, here's the formula: eat less and do sit-ups! The problem is none of us (well, most of us) never show up to the gym and stay away from fast food long enough to see the results we want.

It takes commitment to do the work!

So the challenge wasn't in the knowledge but in the work ethic and consistency involved to get the result. The same goes for business. Business owners can go without getting paid a check for years just to get their business off the ground. Most employees couldn't handle that stress which is why they show up every day to work with the hope that they can get paid for their time put in.
Business owners are also very careful who or what they let into their heads. This is not to say that they are arrogant, but they understand their mind is the most important thing they have. Charlie "Tremendous" Jones is quoted as saying that "Who you will be in the next five years will be a culmination of two things: the people you associate with and the books you read". Most of us if we have a reading habit can control that half of the equation, but people are a little tougher. And usually, family and friends have the biggest influence on the way we think.
Most employees if you take a look at their family probably have parents that are also still working, their grandparents worked, their great-grandparents worked, their cousins, siblings, aunts, pets, EVERYBODY had or has a job. No wonder they think the way they do about creating income.
Business owners however, understand that when it comes to making money, you cannot learn anything from someone who does not have what you want. If you are driven by financial independence and security, then taking advice from someone who is driven by benefits is not going to help you. Be careful who you listen to. As a rule of thumb take a look and see if they are in life where you want to be in the future. If the answer is no, then run!

Being an employee means that you are working for someone else, and that means long hours of work and minimum wages. In a job no one becomes rich because all the big bucks is going to the owner of the business or if it is a government agency then it goes to the US
government. From experience you should know that you have bills and living expenses to pay so guess what you can't stop working, you cannot afford to take any vacations and if your boss does give you a vacation it is only 1 week and you are lucky if you get two weeks but that is rarely the case.

A business owner: Becomes rich because they know the two forms of income they need in order to have financial freedom.
Residual Income allows you to make money for ever because you do something only once and that continues to make money for example Julia Child wrote a book that took her years to finish called " Mastering the Art of French Cooking" and at first it was turned down by lots of publishing companies because it is very lengthy but once it was published it just makes money forever, I mean Julia Child is dead but her cookbooks continue making money because they are selling. So if you create an amazing product and you are able to sell it you continue to make money.

Leverage income:

You make money when you have a group of people working for you. That is if you have a business and you hire a group of employees to work for you then of course you make money because in 24 hours everyday there is only so much work you can do but if you have a group of 10 people who do a very excellent job you will make even more money.

On SFI you are provided the opportunity to have Residual income because if you have the ability to create an amazing product you can sell it on Tripleclicks and make money for many years to come and even after you retire from your 9to 5 job you will continue to make money on the products you are selling.

Leverage income is when you sponsor 5 or more active affiliates and then your affiliate also sponsor affiliates and so on up to 12 generations you will make allot of money because your affiliates in your team are working for you and that my friend is the mentality of a business owner.

If you want your affiliate to turn their mentality from being an employee to a business owner, the only advice I can give is: Do not force them. Let them be the one to realize that being in a business is better than being in an office. Let them be the one to say, “This is what I really want. I want to do this.” All you have to do is just tell them the benefits about having your own business. Much better, be personal by telling them your own story just like what I did.

For example:

Being in an online marketing business is totally unexpected for me especially I had zero experience when it comes to that. While I was still in college, I had always thought I would work in a corporate office or at a well-known call center company. Well, it did not happen. Instead, I worked at a small call center company but only for a short time and also at an office just near our place but my experience was, well, not good. I discovered about working from home while I was searching for a job, gave it a try, and until now I am still here and still enjoying it.

I fell in love with this business because of the benefits like having your own time and being your own boss. Those thing you cannot do while you were an employee. For example, as an employee, you need to be at the office by eight in the morning, if not, you would either be suspended or fired. If you are doing your own business at home, you can start anytime you want. It can be late in the morning, afternoon, or even in the morning. Another example would be, you are working under the orders of the boss when you were an employee. You need to do what they tell you whether you like it or not. If you are working at your own home, you do not have to worry about someone telling you to do this and that. Also, if you were an employee, you were only earning a minimum income. Oftentimes, it is not enough for you and your family. If you have your own business, you can earn as much as you want.

So, there. Just give them time. You cannot change their mind overnight.

It is very easy to turn your affiliates’ employee mentality to a business owner mentality.
If your earning is there that means you are running a very good business. SFI is multilevel marketing online business. Here affiliates work independently; they are not like an employee working in a company. You are not working in any company. You are doing this SFI business of your own. You are earning only through active affiliates with SFI. If you do this business very seriously you can earn lavishly without any hesitation. You concentrate to build a team and make them active.
