Hello, and great question.

Personally, I dont have a website, but i do have some blogs that I use occasionally.
While both are beneficial in standing out, and differing from others out there with your personal viewpoints inserted to describe your success with SFI giving your website, or blog your personal touch. I have a few simple splash pages, and generally do most of my advertising using Classified site and social media networks such as twitter, facebook, pintrest and others. I also have a Prestigious Domain Name; this enables me to choose my own personal and catchy domain name and connect it to my SFI gateways. These have come in very handy with my endevour with SFI, I'm positive I wont need any additional pages or blogs to reach my success within SFI. That will also depend on what you want specifically, and what your approach is; you will also have to take into consideration who your target audience will be, and your overall effort to attain that success.

To be successful in any endeavour, one needs the proper attitude such as determination and consistency. And when it comes to our SFI business, yes indeed we need to be determined and consistent so as to reach the top of the ladder so to speak. About having a website or a blog in relation to progressing on SFI, I would say that yes it could help a lot but with certain precautions since maintaining anyone of them could be a tedious journey.

Being a blogger myself aside from being an active member of SFI, I know that one needs to be consistent in creating effective posts for a blog. Hence the proper attitude plus the sufficient are much needed so as to be effective here. If one could triumph here, then this would probably help his/her SFI business especially if his/her blogs will start to gather multiple followers. That could then be a very effective means of promoting one’s SFI business.

I believe you can succeed in SFI with or without your own private Website or Blog. You can succeed without them but you will succeed faster and better if you have them. This is because SFI business is largely an online marketing business which thrives on web traffic. The more web traffic you have, the higher your chances of making sales. That is where your own website and blog come in very handy.

If your website and blog enjoy a very good ranking with Search Engines, the sites will get better exposure and traffic. Here is how that helps your business to succeed.

2. You can promote your business with banners on your website/blog all hyper-linked to your Gateways.

It's great if you're a tech-savvy person and love doing these sort of things in addition to minding your SFI website, but if you're someone like me, then I'll just put my faith in my Homepage.

It contains everything that we need to succeed in SFI. For promoting TripleClicks and for sponsoring affiliates, PRMs and ECAs, the Marketing Center is brimming with marketing aids and tools with beautiful Cards for us to use, with individual designs, catchy words, and appropriate currency for different countries.

We can write a blog on our Leadership Page, although this may be limited to our teams, but enough to satisfy the writer in us.

There's no need to reinvent the wheels and make simple things complicated by thinking about another website or blog to manage, which needs extra time to do.

While others may find having their own website and blog in order to promote SFI and TC, I think we can still be successful without it.

As we are in an era where technology is not only necessary but an important part of our existence. There was a time when we did our work without mobile phones, we had access to the internet but the majority of us had to rely on cyber cafe's and today our lives revolve around being able to have access to all these facilities.

It is no doubt therefore that having a blog or a website will make your interaction with the global community a lot easier and the results will be faster. A website is an integral part of business today!

Until I joined SFI, I never felt the need to have a blog but now that I have one, I can capitalise on it and keep in touch with everyone, all the time. Having said that, I cannot do without my SFI or TripleClicks website. At every step of the way, I have a ready link to share with my prospects. I have made it a point that whenever I leave home to run any errand, I make sure that I carry either my SFI flyers, W3 or any other marketing material that will help me market SFI. If I have by any chance forgotten to carry any of the above, I immediately give out my SFI and/or TripleClicks website!

A website link is therefore very important to share with others who you wish to bring into the SFI business - very often I open my SFI Homepage or take a screenshot of a particular page to help new affiliates understand the business better.

Having a website just facilitates you to work in a professional environment that SFI offers and indicates to prospects how serious you are with it. So, yes it is good to have a website - your success however is not just dependent on your website.

You can have an excellent website but if you do not know how to market your business, it will not reap you results so various other factors also contribute towards your success in SFI and since that is not the topic of discussions here, we will leave it at the stage where we need to agree that it is important to have a website to become successfull with SFI.

In short No! Having said that you can be more successful by having your own website and because of the way blogs are received on the internet a blog will get you even more success providing it is run correctly.

Too many people think I just have to create a blog or website to become successful, but the creation of the blog or website is just the beginning. If you want them to be a success you will have to promote them and with a blog constantly be updating it.

Search engines love content, and none more so than new content. So running a successful blogdoes take time and effort on your part although you can get a lot of the work on it outsourced if you can afford to go that way.

I would advise against using Blogger for your blog unless you have the facility to cloak all the SFI and TripleClicks links that you are going to use. These links often get Blogger.com sites closed down for spamming. It is unfortunate that when a company like SFI becomes so successful there are so many SFI links on the internet that they are regarded as spam.

If you really cannot afford to buy a domain name and hosting for your business and you are going to use Blogger then I suggest you cloak all your links using bit.ly

Your own domain and hosting is a far more ideal solution as you will be able to cloak all your links using your own domain name. This will see your domain name getting more clicks and as a consequence it will get a boost in the traffic rankings with company's like Google.

A website or blog are a prerequisites to the success with SFI. According to my experience, SFI is considered as spam in some sites, and they can allow you to post links containing SFI address. Facebook is a good example. Facebook is a good site for advertise SFI, however, when I tried to do some advertising, facebook could not allow me to post my SFI links. So I created a blog with wordpress.com. Today i post my ads on my blog and share it in facebook. It just address the spam issuess right. I would therefore recommend you to have a website or blog. I believe that the decision to use these very powerful tools is up to you! If you have the skills or resources to develop them they can make a significant contribution to your success. On the other hand many very successful affiliates have built their success on one on encounters or town meetings/houseparties the actual deciding factor is you. What are you into? Where do you shine? Is it Face to Face, or via promotional products like Websites or do you prefer the anonymous route of ads. Do you love to write material for blogs and twitter... or are you better at videos like YouTube or are you or do you know a great web-designer. there are many great tools including Gateways and Websites available through SFI and TripleClicks, so why why build your own are you trying to re-invent the wheel? OR do you have a great new Idea that only you see the value of, so far?
