Hello Gabriela! I thinking about that too!
Until I find SFI!
I agree that are people who actually have a natural talent for leadership. But what happens if they are not doing anything to approve that? If they do not try to do something? That is not reason why others can be leaders too! Leaders are not only born, leaders are becoming!

A person does not demand leadership, rather they command leadership. True leadership is being a role model that people WANT to follow.

If you work hard and enjoy success, guess what? Other people ARE going to follow you!

The question really, are YOU going to strive for excellence? Yes? I promise you that others will jump in behind you, wanting to know how you are doing it. Your "follower" is right behind you. One that have people following is, by definition, Leading!

Hi, The beautiful thing about SFI is that it offers all of this free training!
While it is true some are better leaders that others, with SFI you can read and train yourself to be a Team Leader.

Even if you are not a Team Leader yet, it is important to start your training in Team Leadership now!

I think that no one was born as leader. Leadership is skill just like any other. Everyone has the potential to become a leader. Everything is in your mind. If you really want to be a leader ... just say I'm a leader and put that thought in your mind.

Hi Gabriela,

You are a Leader, we all are Leaders in one way or another. Think about it for a minute.

If you are a mother or a father, you are a leader in your family. You take care of them each and every day.

You give them guidance and direction, you provide a home, you pick them up when they fall down, you give them praise when they do good, you support them with their projects or sports, etc...

These are all leadership qualities.

I don't believe in the concept of "born leader". No one born in this world as a leader. A child born to a family with no leadership background in the family whatsoever can become a top leader in his lifetime. In the same way, a child born to a family with great leadership background in the family could become a very poor leader. There are lots of example you can find which supports these 2 theories.

Being a leader is easier for some than others, however, everyone can learn to be a leader.
I like to get to know all of my movers real well. I learn what they need or want from me. I communicate with them often. I give them ideas and teach them what works for me. I do what I can to help them grow, sometimes that means working with one of their affiliates. I learn new things all the time so I can teach them more.

You don't have to be a born leader to be an SFI Team Leader. All you have to do is follow the task that are listed in the To-Do-List in the SFI. Have patience with your team members and lead them by example. The badges that you have acquired in SFI will motivate your team members to follow and duplicate what your doing that made you grow in SFI.

Hi there,
I have read a lot of answers on this question!
I would like to add. If you want to be a leader, born or not, you have to know the business. How can you lead people, if you can't provide answers and solve problems or answer questions?
Anyone can be a team leader, if they are willing to learn and then teach, what they want the people under them to learn!

When you always do your homework, when they help others and make them when you have something to say when all shut, fix something instead of complaining, ask questions, even when you risk embarrassing, seeking answers already are a leader and you will continue so shine.
