I think the best way to handle them is to first let them know that this opportunity is not a get rich quick scheme. It is about building their own online business, and that takes time.

Let them know your experiences of how you started to learn SFI and TripleClicks; how important it was to read and understand the basics of the program.

Then you should always be there for them in answering any and all questions they have. For most prospects, there will be many questions, and you need to have the answers to get them going in the right direction.

Some will follow you, and some won't. But be consistent and truthful in your message to them; it will pay off in the end.

In response to your question I am explaining as per my experience - if I want to build an awesome team as a Team Leader I have to handle, tackle several types of affiliates as they are coming from different countries worldwide with their own motive, expectation and thinking

In my Welcome Letter I let them know first that SFI has no quick rich scheme. It is a Real and long term business. If you keep patience and having a challenging attitude, to be wealthy in future - start your business with SFI from zero

In spite of that there are a lot of affiliates those who want to get rich fast. I suggest them as per following

Give your most effective efforts and time to the SFI business daily

Create blog/website, utilize social networking sites, other free and paid sites and refer your gateway link to advertise your SFI/TC business at random

Make a Standing Order of 1500 VP in each month

Bring a large number of people to TripleClciks to generate bulk purchase and sales

Buy PSA from TC ECA store at random and set up S.Builders to get new sign ups and also co-op for your team to build an active downline

Help your team members to be an EA2 and above in each month

Buy and win T-Credits to bid in auction of new PSA/CSAs to make a large team. Work with them and give your support to increase generation

Refer ECA from your local area or others rapidly

Participate in daily grand and TC Eager Zebra Games daily

Open your own online shop in TripleClciks to sell your products

This is the proper way to get rich fast except overnight or in a few weeks

In SFI, handling prospects and affiliates who expect to get rich fast is where your leadership skills come to the fore. These people are human beings who probably have a very wrong notion about what SFI is. Your duty is to let them know what SFI is all about as skillfully as you can. You should be very patient with them while using your leadership skills to educate them to have a change in their mind-set. You must provide leadership while leading by example yourself. If you believe that you too can get rich fast in the business, it is near impossible to teach any other person something different.

Preach patience and skillful diligence to your affiliate team members letting them into your own personal story and experience in the business. If they believe in you and trust you, there are very bright chances that they will act the way you prescribe.

If they can give you a written explanation that makes sense, then encourage them and follow it! But if they can not, then follow up and let them know how you approach the business. Give them 3 goals to shoot for and tell them exactly how they can achieve each one. This is called setting the expectation.

Can one become rich in SFI? Certainly, but will it happen quickly? Most likely not, and even if it did it would take a considerable amount of cash to pay for the advertising. That said, if an experience marketer with a large following comes to SFI, yes, then it is high likely that they can achieve a 6 figure income in a short period of time. The compensation plan is straight forward. The numbers don't lie. For example, a major player in internet marketing could have a 300,000 member following. Let's say 2% of them subscribe to the IAHBE. That would yield a residual income of $46,020 in the first month of SFI! That's why it's important to recruit everyday and as many as possible! So given the right conditions, one may become very successful in SFI rather quickly. Nevertheless, for most of us, it will take time and a lot of hard work.

I have learned that there are two types of affiliate - the ones who want to achieve true wealth and those who are trying to simply get rich really quickly. Your question seems to imply that you want to know what to do about that group...

With that group of "get rich quick" folk, you will learn that they will, most times, start weeding themselves out of your group. I really don't do too much to discourage them; however, when they see that the slow pace that I work is not conducive for their plans, they usually become inactive.

The "get rich quick" folk are hoping that they can create instant wealth within the next couple of days. When they join I try to let them know that it will take you at least a year, at regular pace, to actually have achieved anything.

They begin leaving once they see that they are NOT going to accomplish "quick money" like they were hoping / anticipating.

There is no need to beat around the bush with these folks.

You have to tell them that they are wrong, that this is not a get rich fast scheme, but HOW you tell them is very important.

Although some of them may have joined with the intention of making money quickly, they may get to see the value and the potential of SFI and decide to work the business and become very successful in SFI. You do not want them to leave.

The impatient ones, who want to get rich quick will probably look at other ways of making money and may leave. You want them to leave on a good note because they will most likely regret leaving SFI and may come back.

Whatever you do - PLEASE DO NOT OFFEND THEM. If you do, they will most likely leave and will most likely tell other people about the bad experience he/she had at SFI. This affects all of us and the whole business. REMEMBER that as an affiliate you are the face of the company. Your actions are seen by others as the actions of SFI.

I would recommend that right from Day 1, when they first join up, impress upon them that this is not a get rich quick scheme. This is a Business not a Scheme. I include this in my Welcome letter. This is because I don't want them and me to waste time if they are just after quick money.

My follow up letters and streams impress upon them the need to do the training, to learn about the business, to be patient, that the 1st month is focused on training, they will not make much money initially. I speak of the future, the long term future, of residual income, of being able to bequeath the business, of the need to set up the business properly like any other business, setting long term goals etc... All these impress upon those affiliates not to expect to get rich fast.

For the prospects, I tell them straight off that if they join, do not expect to make it rich fast. While it is free to join, they will need patience to do the training and learn to grow their business. How successful it becomes is really up to them. I still invite them to join and see for themselves.

The internet has always been a field of get-rich-quick scams based on false and unrealistic claims.
Many potential home based business owners have been burned through such schemes.

These are the two issues your question raises.
A. There is seldom real overnight success
Use recent history in business and finance to educate your prospects and affiliates. Large media coverage of Ponzi schemes, financial fraud and business failure because of inadequate planning and execution are available in abundance.
Using such evidence will be effective in bringing some sense of realism to those who show impatience in building a serious business.
Dreaming of getting rich overnight is just that: a mere dream. To bring them back to reality such dreamers, we will need to explain the conditions for lasting success.
A second example may also be pertinently used here: a very large number of those who win lottery rarely benefit from it in a lasting manner. Very often, the winnings are quickly squandered and the winners bankrupt.
B. Positive Attitude and Expectations are key to Success

From my experience of being in SFI, I would say the best thing to do is to be 100% honest with them.

I think it is vitally important to tell them that this is in no way a "Get Rich Scheme." In this business it will take a commitment from you to put in your time, learn about the business, and plan how you want to operate your business. This is not an overnight thing where you can just sit back and expect the business to perform for you.

In the beginning it may be easy the first two months, but after that it will take determination and persistence from you to make EA every month. Now let's not get it wrong, some have the finances to buy their way to the top. But there are some (self included), who have to set realistic goals each month and work to meet those goals.

All in all, you get a real sense of accomplishment. On top of that you will begin to see your commissions build and from there you just keep going until you reach the goal you set from day one. If you can see your future from this you will push on to reach that goal and beyond.

It is necessary to help people with this expectation to realise that such an idea does not happen in real life, unless they win a lottery ticket. Ask them to think of any circumstances where one can succeed without a lot of effort, perseverance, learning and investment of both time and money. There isn't one. Every business you might start requires it, and even most jobs require considerable time investment if one wishes to advance to a higher level. A professional job requires perhaps years of study before one can even begin to earn an income and you will have thousands of dollars of tuition fees to repay.

Explain that SFI is a system that will indeed eventually make it possible to become rich but that it will require consistent effort, dedicated perseverance and a great deal of learning. There will be no tuition fees to repay and one can begin earning from day one, while still in the learning phase.

There is a story about a wise man who asked a king if he could be paid by being given a grain of rice on the first square of a chessboard, then double that on the 2nd square, double that again on the 3rd and so on on until the whole of the 64 squares were covered. The king felt that wasn't much payment and argued for a higher amount, but when the wise man insisted, the king found that the kingdom did not have enough rice to make that payment and it would take many years and the kingdom would go broke. The wise man understood the power of duplication, and the king soon discovered it.

Our SFI business employs this same power of duplication. Relate this story to your prospects and show them the real power of working as a team and benefiting from the efforts of your team. It will take time to build your team, but when you do, the sky is the limit!
