If you are in close touch with your downline members, you should be able to send them a team mail and have them go to your leadership page and let you know if they intend to enter your contests. If you don't hear something right away, give it a day or two and send them another e-mail.

I always let my downline members know that unless they enter they can't win. And if only one or two enter, then I just give them the winnings. After all they were the only ones who took the time to follow

There is not enough of you to empower them. So be the best you can be. Don't worry about if they want to participate in your team contest. It's a waste of your energy. Yes, have contest but no do not sweat the small stuff.

You are the catalyst. You are key to your own success. Don't give your success to others nor give your pearls to swine. Affiliates need to understand that nothing from nothing is nothing. So if you get affiliates that do nothing it is because they have done

Very good question.

First off. Word of caution. Be sure that if you are going to run contests for your downline that you for sure have the budget locked up to support whomever wins them. One sure fire way to lose trust is not to fulfill contest obligations with awards. I know this is not the answer to your question yet but it's important to bring it out as you will be surprised that this can happen if not well planned.

To answer your question. There is no one answer in

Have you heard this quotation that is "top of the heap" among my all-time favorites ?

"One may lead a horse to the river but can not force it to drink !"

That said, you can cajole the willing ones- those who believe enough in themselves
and have the right attitude and the patience to succeed.
For doing so, SFI has thoughtfully provided you with the right tools, namely STREAM
POST & the GENEALOGY MAILER.

Obviously you can't twist anyone's arm to do anything, but communication is the key.
Not only through PSA mailer, but through personal e-mails and skype if available.
the more people hear from you, in all forms of communication, the more they will get to know you as a person and will begin to trust what you say.
Also your contests have to be doable and the reward should fit the action.

Communicate, communicate, communicate, this is the way to their hearts and minds!

Getting anybody to ever participate in team contests is tricky. It is a delicate balance of recruiting and incentives. I'll explain...

There are many people that simply are "no-shows" when it comes to SFI. They may signup, but they never really materialize. Some of the contests that we do are based around many of the "no-shows." We tell folk that we will give them gifts for the # of new signups. They will go to great lengths to get signups, only to realize that they

I believe that you should not use too much of your energy on the "small stuff".

"Work with the workers" ... by doing this you will save yourself the stress of worrying and wondering how to make it happen.

All affiliates are here for the same reason ..

If you have to persuade and encourage your downline to take action which would benefit themselves as much as it would benefit you in the long run ... then that's a sign (You need to upgrade your

This is my first time so I hope it help.

1. Think a contest game that will catch interest, as member they will ask"what it is for me". Send mail about it, post on your leadership page, blog, in your stream to let them know your putting a game.

2.Make the ground rules to emphasize who are qualify for the contest and rewarding incentives also can motivate participant.

3. Those who want success will take action. They will call for advice and counsel. They

Hello Beatrice and all other members of SFI community.

We have to let our team know that we have a contest, and if the participate it will add value to their own business. We have to consider the time frame of the contest and it would be amazing to add some fun into it as well.

We get our team believing that the can achieve it and it will raise them to the next level in leadership. Because that should be the ultimate goal to achieve, to have a team of leaders not followers.

Forgive me if I will answer this question on the negative perspective. I've done contests before but it did not help me and my affiliates. I ended up spending money for a short live "success", I can not even call it success for my affiliates because the reward that all of us can give is not enough to sustain some here at SFI without affiliates.

So I focus on helping my affiliates to recruit affiliates of their own because I know its the one that will sustain the growth. Our affiliates
