This is a good question. However there is no easy answer. We are not able to force anyone into being active in SFI. We can only do our very best to help them see what an amazing opportunity they have and how they can make the best of it.

I personally send out a welcome email to ALL of my team. As soon as I have a new PSA or a new CSA I go to my Genealogy and pull up their Affiliate Snapshot. From this information I get to see if they have filled out their affiliate profile, confirmed their email address, and many other things.

I start with the checklist and the very first thing I do is send out a personal welcome email. I don't send this to their TeamMail, I send this to the email address they signed up with. Why? If they are just tire kickers, or just curious, they won't usually log back into their homepage. Therefore, they would not get the message I sent. By sending the email to their registered email account, you stand a better chance of them seeing the email.

Every week continue to send out a team email to all of your team members giving advice, support, praise, and sharing your own success with your team. Your dormant affiliates may see this and begin to think about how they can have your success.

I also suggest that at least once per month you go through your Genealogy and send a personal email to each of your team members who have not been active that month. Ask them if there are any questions they have, if there is any problems that you may be able to help with, show them that you are there to help them succeed.

Now this won't always work, as we all know there are those out there that no matter what we do they will not become active, but you may be surprised at how many turn around and become some of your best affiliates.

Always remember to treat your affiliate team with respect, courtesy, and always be open and honest with them. If you are asked a question and are not sure of the answer, don't tell them something that isn't true or something that you are not sure of. Always do your best to find out the answer for them. Remember that you succeed when they succeed!

I hope everyone of us can see the relevance of this question, because all of us are trying very hard to find someone to sign-up affiliates.

Think about our efforts and investment just to have one sign-up!! Now we have someone who has signed-up but for some reason is not able to continue and now we call them dormant.

We should be able to see the potentials of our so called dormant affiliates. They are already one step ahead and they are within our reach compared to our prospective affiliates who still in limbo and need a lot of efforts and investment in order to find them.

For these reasons, I spend time in contacting my dormant affiliates and trying my best to keep them active. Here are few things that I used to get in-touch with them and engage them them at least in conversation.

1. I use their email address to contact them. - You do not send message to your dormant affiliates inside SFI because they can read it if they don't log-in, it why they are dormant.

2. I write them personal email not inflated kind of talking. I tell them my struggles with my SFI business and small successes I have. In other words I tell them what is real and not a fairytale SFI. My purpose is to know what are their own reason why they do not continue with their SFI business. Once i know the reason then I know how to help.

3. I write them several times but not too close interval - people do not respond to stranger's email at once. So I write them at least 5 personal email aside from my weekly general messages for all. I give update with my own progress and struggles with SFI. In addition I am trying to guess their reason for not continuing with SFI. Of course its not very difficult to guess because there are only few common reasons. I discuss these reasons one by one with suggestions on how to overcome them in my follow-up personal emails.

Among the reasons are:
a) They found SFI overwhelming. and they don't understand system.
b) They think SFI as 'get rich quick' program. And don't see the potentials of SFI.
c) They don't have money to buy from TripleClicks or if they have they find it difficult to so.
d) They don't have time- which is actually related to any reasons above. Of course all of us don't have time on something that we think non-sense.
e) They feel that SFI is not for them - Which is true, SFI is not for everybody, for this last reason i usually encourage them to log in one more time and opt-out. I teach them how to opt-out. In my experience, that's the time that they take a serious second look at SFI hehehehe.

4. I take efforts in finding them in Face Book and Skype using their email address and names and Engage them into conversation.

What is the rate of success of engaging them into conversation? In my case it's approximately 1 out of 10.

After these efforts and still no answer neither they opt-out, I just keep them and receive my weekly general message.

Hi,

I have to admit to you that this is the most stressful job in network marketing!

But heads up, this is what you have to do. Identify the number of inactive affiliates you want to contact. Lets assume they are 50 affiliates. Print out their contact details and give yourself a target of at least 2 months of follow up.

First, you will send out an email informing them who you are and of course inviting them to log in their SFI account. Design an educative weekly email that you will be sending to them for those 2 months. This can be the training that you learnt in SFI Launchpad training or internet income reports.

You have to agree with me that these inactive affiliates are either lazy to learn how the program works or confused. So make it enticing by giving each a gift certificate of maybe $5 if they get to respond to your mails. Remember these gift certificates will be used in tripleclicks and you will automatically benefit as their sponsor.

Secondly,every week you send an email to them click against your print out so as not to get confused. Remember its a 8 week plan and you can easily forget if you dont have a written plan. You also want to look professional to your affiliates by not confusing them.

Thirdly, respond immediately to anyone who responds to you in your educative emails. This is the beginning to building confidence in them so as they can propel on their own. And for those who will not respond to you after those eight week, leave them alone completely and focus not with the movers.

After all, the rule to success isnt in quantity of affiliates you have but the quality. The great thing with this tireless work of activating inactive affiliates is that if successful, you benefit BIG time since you will have an empowered PSA under you.

Dormant affiliates might have been overwhelmed by the SFI system, might have perceived SFI as trivial to their online success or might have been disappointed because they were attracted by some-quick money feeling among other things.

Now, you first need to get their attention to the system once again to correct their impression about SFI whatever it is that militate against their success. I do this by issuing them gift certificates and give them like 5 working days to claim their gift. It works magic as some inactive affiliates start becoming active. I then make sure to contact the active affiliate and explain everything about SFI'S success to him/her.

Once the affiliates become active let them know how you feel about SFI and why you are still there-I mean the reason why it's so difficult for you to leave SFI. Let them get the "feeling" of this wonderful company. Help them and remove any ambiguity-let SFI look simple in their eyes.

Explain to them that SFI is not a get-rich scheme but they can build a steady income that can take care of their retirement. It's a company you can trust and a pillow to relax your dreams on. Hope this is helpful.

First of all you have to try and ascertain as to why they become non-active...the cause for non-activeness varies and unique in there own way. Now after you've done this you now have an idea as to your approach will be for each individual situation by what information one gets.

You also need to consider to be consistent with your SFI articles/newsletter to inform them of the opportunities and what they are missing out on...

Send them gift certificate to encourage them to make a purchase at TC store...suggest new TC products inform (share) them about what's been auctioned...at price-bender.

One key element is you must continue to build your down-line while keep giving valuable unique information to the non-active affiliates. Though this does not guarantee you results immediately but if yo are consistent... you might just never know...a shining star can be among the mix.

The main fact is that you must not give up just keep going. Sometime the more you go the easier it become and ideas keep flowing. Hope this help.

Thank you for the opportunity to answer this important question. I will answer it as if it refers to me.
If an Affiliate becomes dormant, I assume that at some stage they have been working and have accumulated some VP and have now become dormant.
In this regard, they probably know basically what to do to earn VP but have become disillusioned perhaps because they have not seen the big dollars rolling in.
Firstly, I would direct them to the LaunchPad Lesson Day 11. I would then explain to them the things that make a business a business. That is ALL businesses need to start with some sort of plan, even if it is only an online business.
How does the old saying go? If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I would then issue them with 10 TCredits. Follow this about 5 days later with a $5 Gift Voucher. Watch to see if these have been used and the member is logging in. If so, reassign them 1 downline member to work with. This gives them some encouragement. Contact both parties to let them know how you are working with your downline.
I have successfully re-activated Affiliates using this method. This also has a twofold effect of earning yourself VP as well as an active Affiliate.

Keep in contact with them let them know you are still there for them, never give up on them. Give them all the information you can and keep a positive outlook on what your SFI business is doing, by the actions you do with your To-Do-list and your Standing orders and keeping up with TripleClick. Then all of a sudden they start working on their business you will know right away.
Tell them in your weekly letters that you are there for them and will help them any way you can, when they are ready, (some may need time to process the information you are giving them, just be there for them when they need you) and answer all they ask of you or point them in a direction they can get the answers to their question.
This is just what I feel and no matter the why’s or what’s of how an affiliate has not been active may be not knowing where to start they may of missed the welcome letter or have just not been able to get back on to the site. So you just start again, on giving them the where to start page and take it one step at a time.

Hi Juliet,

I have been struggling with this issue myself since starting just over two months ago. I have just begun to glean results from my efforts. Here's what I do:

I have a general PSA/CSA mailer that I send out everytime I come across something useful that I have just discovered. It may be an advertising technique or a new product that I believe will generate sales. This goes out to everyone. I believe that this is also useful in generating interest in the dormant members as they may have been struggling with the same topics I am writing to them about.

Regarding the CSAs who have very little or zero VersaPoints, I send them mail once a week. What I do is look at their VP ledger to see if I can identify areas they may be struggling with and offer them advice on how to get these points. I also check their goals and see if I can rekindle their interest in achieving them through SFI and TripleClicks.

Finally, I have just started up a free ad co-op for those who are active but are struggling to get new sign-ups. I make sure that I include dormant members in my Mails regarding any developments in this so that they are aware that there is help here if they apply themselves.

There are five steps to encourage the affiliates who become dormant to become active again, analyze the causes, challenge, cheer up, give a helping hand, and reward.
Step 1. Analyze the causes that made him become dormant.
First, keep in mind that you can encourage only a hopeful affiliate, who log in and can connect with, not a hopeless one. Second, find facts that cause him become dormant as much as you can; such as aims, time, funds, communication skill etc.
Step 2. Challenge him.
Use a technique of asking questions to challenge dormant affiliates to think again. Focus your Questions on his responsibilities to family, his abilities compare to disable persons, his time management etc.
Step 3. Cheer him up
Advice him some inspire videos on you tube, tell him this is his chance to build his own business.
Step 4. Give him your helping hand.
Help him to reduce some cost of doing business, find way to create win-win co op program to act together.
Step 5. Reward him some gifts
When he become active reward him some TCredits as gifts.
By using all of these five steps together is the best way of encouraging dormant affiliates to become active again.

I am just qualified to submit the answer here (Ask SC). First of all I am big fan of Ask SC since I registered to SFI. I don’t miss to read the top leaders answer. Now I would like to express my views for this question.

First of all we should try to analyse the reason why an Affiliate is dormant? In my opinion lack of knowledge about SFI & its structure, communication gap between Sponsors / Co-Sponsors and affiliates, after an Affiliate registered to SFI. When they don’t understand what to do after Log-in, then they leave it and become dormant. This I have experienced during my communications with most of the CSA/PSA in my team. When I started my own way of training & communications I could able to achieve the success in making them reactive.

Training: I started creating individual inactive CSA’s/PSA’s Files in my PC & taken copy of their VP ledger saved it to word. Marking with Highlighter on VP ledger copy with comments directions etc. what they have to do during start-up & send it to them with guidance.

Communication: I always try to send mail message through SFI & then with personal ID. I ask them to send cell no. & then, call them on phone to fix up the convenient time of mine as well as theirs. With this type of interactions i create such a healthy atmosphere, that, affiliates should feel they are in comfort zone & ask all sort of questions without any hesitation. My motto will be to make them satisfied.

I also, mention in my team mail how many of them have become active & I gave incentives in terms of TCredits with the importance of TCredits in SFI Business.

From the above methods I am getting positive results & I am satisfied for what I have done.
