Passion is great, but there are several other qualities you need as a person, before you can succeed in any business.

A Knack For Solving Problems
Most entrepreneurs start their businesses by finding a need or a problem in the market, and satisfying it. By solving consumer problems, you contribute the community – which is the most profitable venture out there.

Sheer Independence
You have to be able to do things on your own. Entrepreneurs thrive when faced with intense responsibility and workload. They can manage their own time, and love being their own boss.

Hunger for Hard Work
The beginning stages for entrepreneurs include long hours, little pay, stress, and frustration. They focus on accomplishing tasks and getting work done before anything else.

Confidence
All entrepreneurs exude a level of self-confidence that earn them respect and recognition. Having confidence in yourself and your abilities will take you farther in life than any other quality. You will never out-perform your self-belief.

Discipline
This is a no brainer. Distractions are not an option. Successful entrepreneurs know to resist temptation when it comes to unimportant things. You need to be able to focus on the most essential tasks, and save the less important things for later when you have time.

Openness to Change
The economy is changing, the market is changing, consumers are changing, and companies are changing right along with them. Any successful entrepreneur understands the critical need to “go with the flow,” and have the ability to change as their business grows.

Great question. The answer to this question as it relates to SFI or any affiliate opportunity is the qualities are typically the same. Meaning, to be successful with SFI or with any online business, one must possess the following qualities and if you do you will likely succeed in any venture you,choose to be in:

1. Optimistic
2. Persistent
3. Motivated
4. Independent but also interdependent
5. Focused
6. Can do attitude even in the wake of failures
7. Helps to have some business sales and marketing experience but not a requirement.
8. Open minded and willing to learn new methods
9. Patience
10. Comminicnatiom skills are desirable.
11. Not afraid to take action without know everything. Just go.

There are many more. These are the most widely acknowledge qualities in my opinion and experience working online over many years. One does not need to possess all or be good at every one of them. Howver, the more of these qualities one does have the more successful they are likely to be.

Anyone, who can follow directions, has a willingness to learn, not afraid to take steps into unknown or unchartered waters and can survive the agony of defeat knowing that it is part of the process for most, has just a good a chance of being successful as anyone else.

The number one killer of all online business attempts by most newbie marketers is they think the Internet is a place of over night successes and when they try for a week or month or some even one day and determine it is not like this, they get frustrated, disappointed and flat just give up or they jump to a new opportunity just to repeat this cycle again. That is where focus is of absolute key importance. If you can stay focused and not get distracted by all the opportunities around you and chip away a little each day, you will be be successful at SFI. It is the ones that stick it out and meet the requirements and follow the rules of engagement that will be successful.

The ones that do that and also have one or all of the above listed qualities will only grow their successes exponentially. Leaders are the ones that possess these qualities or your sponsors.

Great question!

What qualities does one need to have or to develop to be successful with SFI are simply stated as follows:

1. Patience ~ Anyone joining SFI needs to understand that it is not going to make everyone rich on day 1. There is a system in place that can build everyone great income down the road, but you must be patient to reach this goal of financial freedom

2. Self-Motivated ~ If you are not self-motivated then SFI is going to be tough. Of course you can contact your upline members at any time and spark a conversation to help you get motivated to act, but self-motivation is key to success. You have to know you can do it, put a plan in place, and activate all phases of that plan in order to succeed.

3. Forgiving ~ This is a tough business for someone just starting out, and they must realize that this opportunity isn't for everyone. There will be many NO's along the way, tons of maybe's, and a few yes's here and there. Capitalize on the Yes answers, motivate the maybe answers, and forgive the No answers and move on.

4. Perseverance ~ You must stick with it no matter what! If a certain method isn't working out for you after many trials and tribulations, look for another option. Everyone has something in them that can help them succeed in this business. Your job is to be persistent until you find what works for you and then capitalize on it.

5. Organizational Skills ~ SFI provides several marketing tools, and helpful reference tools. Key code tracking is one of the most effective tools available. Know where your potential clients or customers are coming from and invest in these areas for more quality results. There are a number of qualities that will definitely help an individual to succeed, but I think the first and foremost is new affiliates need to be willing to learn. I personally have a lot of years' experience of running businesses, both on and offline, but I've learned so much in the short time I've been with SFI. If I had come to SFI with the attitude that I already knew it all, and had refused to learn, it would have really held me back.

So, that is what I believe to be the most important quality. Others, in no particular order, include:

1. Willingness to work. SFI is a business, and all businesses take work. If you are prepared to keep putting in the work on a daily basis, you will succeed.

2. Realistic expectations. As above, SFI is a business. If you come to SFI with the understanding that success in business does not come overnight, and you need to invest time and/or money over a sustained period before you start to see significant returns, you will succeed.

3. People skills. There are two aspects to the SFI business, sales and team building/leadership. Both of these require good communication skills, and an ability to understand the needs of others. Learn to identify the needs of others and help them to achieve their goals, and you will succeed.

The three qualities I listed above are important, but they are not qualities you need to bring with you when you first come to SFI. Anyone can learn to work hard, revise their expectations, and focus on the needs of others before their own. So, a new affiliate can develop those qualities as they go along.

However, without willingness to learn, that development will never take place, which is why I believe willingness to learn is the single most important quality that any new affiliate must bring with them when they come to SFI.

A person needs to have the communication skills necessary to motivate, and help their downline, so that they can build their business and be successful too.

The individual needs to develop consistent habits in logging in every day, staying up to date with the achievements of their downline, recognizing them on good work. Plus their work habits should include all the daily activities required to continually grow their business.

All affiliates must set themselves up for success by learning that the only way to fail, is to quit. Winners never quit. They learn from failure, and move on.

Affiliates should always have goals that they wish to reach, such as monthly or yearly, or even bigger. Not having a goal, means you have no idea where you are going; if you don't your destination, how can plan a route to get there?

A person must develop patience, because internet marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes time to build contacts that you need to recruit affiliate and/or customers.

And, finally, they must have passion about doing this business. If it just a hobby, they will never grow it to the level that can allow them to do this full time, especially if that is their goal.

You need to have "guts" This is not for the faint hearted, you need to put your heart and soul into making your business work.

Determination to succeed - it's easy the first month to reach EA but after that you need to be resourceful and hard working, constantly planning a strategy that can work for you. If you don't have financial resources to fall back on to help you, it means you have to be even more determined and careful with what little money you have, so plan wisely.

Diligence - Make it a daily habit or committment to do your daily actions, try and read something new every day, I find the Forum a huge source of information. Even if you only have time to read the latest posts each day, you will learn something. Knowledge is power, and that does not come from a hit and miss approach.

Read, Read, Read - SFI have tremendous resources and information you need to know and learn, in order to be a success. Too many join SFI hoping or expecting to make money with little or no effort from themselves. I find that if an article stirs me or excites me I print it out and read it again, find the websites or blogs or forums or free advertising suggested, then try it out. I'm not very good at blogging or using the social media, but it's all worth trying - you never know, something may click and off you go! In other words, be willing to TRY.

Committment - I believe you need to be committed to what you are doing, remind yourself regularily why you are doing this. Don't run away when things get tough and don't give up. Ask for help. If your sponsor or co-sponsor can't help (or are not responding) go to the Forum or ask your a2a friends. It is amazing how willing and helpful people are, even if they are not in your team, we all want to see you succeed.

This is a long term business, so don't expect miracles in the first month. I hate giving up and want to see things through, in order to do that give the business a chance, set reallistic goals and work as hard as you can to achieve them.

A very good question to determine the good and bad affiliates in your team. I feel the following are the characteristics one must have to grow in SFI

1. The first and foremost is Patience. This is very important as SFI is not a get rich program and takes much time to give success.

BEING ABLE TO READ/LISTEN
You need to be able to read a lot of documents/books and information provided. If you can't read, you need to find someone who can read, who will be able to read to you, so that you can hear and understand. You also need to be a willing listener to those who train you and want to help your business grow. Take their advice as they've traveled the road you now travel, they've been where you've been and are qualified to assist you.

BEING ABLE TO OPERATE A COMPUTER/CELL PHONE/TABLET/iPAD
Most of SFI and TripleClicks is performed on the worldwide web internet on a computer, cell phone, iPad or tablet. Knowing how to operate one or some of these devices will greatly assist in your success in SFI. Should you not know how to operate these devices, find a friend or family member who does, or even someone in SFI, who might be able to assist you. ENDURANCE
Your success in SFI will not happen overnight. Be aware that it may take 2-3 years to reach your desired income level and you need to endure through thick and thin, trying times, and hardships. Some people will readily join SFI as a Personally Sponsored Affiliate, others will be very sceptical and will think it is a scam. You need to give them the facts of SFI through the knowledge you receive from the Launch Pad lessons and the About SFI you read in your Getting Started actions on your ToDo List tab.

BE A DETERMINED HARDWORKER
Enrolling Personally Sponsored Affiliates requires a lot of hard work and determination to pass all the people who say no to joining, in order to get to the people who say yes to joining SFI. You have to keep your chin held up high and take every no as a positive move toward the yes answers to those who want to join SFI. Don't quit, and never, never, never ever give up. You WILL succeed.

BE A TEAM PLAYER
Build a team under you that you will be proud of because they will duplicate what you have done. Do not only rely on your sponsor to help you build your team, but be an awesome sponsor yourself so that others will flock to you because they know you care about their success.

PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WITHIN SFI
Join the A2A - Affiliate to Affiliate - program, much like a friends club. Where you can discuss things about SFI with your fellow affiliates and gain much insight and solutions to some of the problems you may encounter.
Visit the SFI Forum as often as you can. There is a wealth of information gathered over more than a decade of time - you will be greatly enriched - and others will be enriched by your participation.

BE A MOTIVATOR
As you build your team of affiliates, motivate them by giving them incentives and rewards for accomplishing milestones within SFI and TripleClicks. Rewards given to your downline motivate them to keep on keeping on. Be sure to motivate your team from your Leadership Page.

ENROLL AS AN ECA IN THE ECA PROGRAM
One way to become more successful in SFI is to enrol as an E-Commerce Associate. This way you can sell new products online and refer many customers to your products online via a weblink which you can obtain from TripleClicks in the SFI Affiliate Tab when viewing the product info listed on TripleClicks. This will lead them directly to your product online at TripleClicks.

In order to succeed in SFI, just like in any other business, an entrepreneur needs to be equipped with “Vital Characteristics” and they are as follows:


1. Goal-oriented
Before embarking into business, and joining SFI, one should be have a clear grasp on what he exactly wants to achieve. Now you may ask how would you plan your goal? Richard Brown, managing partner of a London-based consultancy, says: "You should have THREE GOALS or less. Any more and you won't be able to focus on them." If you have noticed, SFI have provided us a tab pertaining to our individual goals(https://www.sfimg.com/Home?tab=goals).

When considering your goals think about how they fit into where you are heading over the next five years. "It may help to see them in the light of your longer-term vision for your career" says Brown. Make sure your goals are right for you and WORK with it.



2. Willingness to learn
We can’t know it all and never would we know it all. At some point in life most successful people figure out an important fact: not only do they not know it all, they can’t know it all. You cannot just directly dive into the sea without knowing how to swim. Same goes with SFI.

Most of the people get overwhelmed on the idea of how SFI can change their lives. I assume, they know how to start but in the midst of their journey with monetizing in SFI, they are clueless on how to sustain it. Thus, it is better to surround yourself with good people and be able to learn from them. Having a good sponsor, co-sponsor and mentors is invaluable for we learn a lot from them especially when they are unselfishly share their knowledge to us.

By showing to our downline that we are driven and willing to learn we will be able to influence people especially our movers to work with us and attracting mentors to advise us. Being open to advise and asking for help when needs be has put us in great stead.

A friendly advice, chew every bits of information and learning given and do not just merely swallow it for you might get choked.



3. Consistency and Commitment
In an essay of the American author F. Scott Fitzgerald, he mentioned that “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.”

That line should serve as a reminder to us that despite our minor desire for some things, we should never cease to pursue what we really want to achieve in affiliate marketing thru SFI – and that is ultimate success in our online business. The key to influencing people through commitment lies in our ability to have people adopt an initial position that is consistent with a behavior. This means that they will be willing to agree to requests that are consistent with their prior commitments. I am fairly new to SFI (new to marketing altogether) but have learned so much in just over a month from the wealth of training provided by SFI. I apologise that I am not as articulate as many who answer here but feel I would like to contribute by sharing what I have learned.

Personally, I believe that all we need to succeed in SFI is the capacity to learn. SFI provides us with the necessary tools and gives us the know-how to implement them. If one follows the steps provided in the LaunchPad and the training tab then he/she are well on their way to success. Here's what I have learnt along the way:

1. Patience

I must admit, on my first day, I had a lot of unrealistic expectations but I soon learned-through reading the lessons provided-that to build a successful business, I must first concentrate on building a solid foundation. SFI is not a scam. It does not offer any Get-Rich-Quick Scheme. What it does offer is...through hard work and time spent building your down line and time spent on building an advertising campaign to sell TripleClicks products, you can earn a reasonable income...and if you apply yourself even further, you can earn enough to quit your job.

2. Determination

Get a grip on your emotions and focus on your goals. Once you've determined what you want out of your business, set a realistic time frame to achieve your goals. Be determined and apply yourself daily in the pursuit of your goals. This is a business therefore you must treat it as such. Clock in everyday and be the best that you can be.

3. Motivation

Not only will you need to be motivated but you will need to motivate your team. If this is your first leadership role, take advice from your up line. Visit the 'Be an Awesome Sponsor' page. Do all you can to attain the skills needed to motivate your team. Duplication of your success is a key factor in SFI Basics(not without good reason). If you have managed to achieve your goal of how many active members you personally sponsor, teach your PSAs how to duplicate your goals and they will teach their PSAs and so on.

Give me another month and I am certain I will answer this question far more extensively. I hope I have been able to contribute and help others to see that SFI works if you apply it daily and take in all the knowledge provided.
