"Why don't more people work towards advancing in SFI?"

Very good question!

There can be a number of reasons why new affiliates hesitate or simply do not attempt to advance in SFI...

1) Time - Some people see SFI as an interesting opportunity but really don't have the extra time to learn the system and see its real potential. (Most of the affiliates that join under these circumstances lead really busy lives and saw this opportunity while passing through. You can only offer your assistance to help teach them if they have the time to listen and read)

2) Motivation - Some people see the real potential of SFI but lack the motivation to move on it. (This is surprisingly, probably the biggest group. They want it, but can't easily see how to get it! It is up to you to make them feel comfortable, teach them all you can and help them develop the motivation to succeed. The first step is always the hardest.)

3) Impatient - Many are looking for a get rich quick scheme that really works. Truth be told, unless you win the lottery or get very very lucky... this business just simply does not exist. (This group will get lost in reading about the opportunity and lose interest very quick. You must let everyone know up front, SFI is not going to make you a millionaire overnight, but if you work the system at your own pace you will see growth and develop a system that works for you that will expand your business to huge proportions. Millionaire status is reachable, but it requires work, dedication, and persistence.)

4) Fear - Some affiliates fear they don't stand a chance to succeed in any business of their own. They are just interested in what is out there. (They are generally also looking for the easy route to riches. It takes the right kind of person to take control and build a home business. Network marketing can be a tough business, but SFI provides a sound system and several income streams.

I could name a few more obvious answers, but these are the key groups that need that little extra push from you as their sponsor or co-sponsor.

Great question!

What qualities does one need to have or to develop to be successful with SFI are simply stated as follows:

1. Patience ~ Anyone joining SFI needs to understand that it is not going to make everyone rich on day 1. There is a system in place that can build everyone great income down the road, but you must be patient to reach this goal of financial freedom

2. Self-Motivated ~ If you are not self-motivated then SFI is going to be tough. Of course you can contact your upline members at any time and spark a conversation to help you get motivated to act, but self-motivation is key to success. You have to know you can do it, put a plan in place, and activate all phases of that plan in order to succeed.

3. Forgiving ~ This is a tough business for someone just starting out, and they must realize that this opportunity isn't for everyone. There will be many NO's along the way, tons of maybe's, and a few yes's here and there. Capitalize on the Yes answers, motivate the maybe answers, and forgive the No answers and move on.

4. Perseverance ~ You must stick with it no matter what! If a certain method isn't working out for you after many trials and tribulations, look for another option. Everyone has something in them that can help them succeed in this business. Your job is to be persistent until you find what works for you and then capitalize on it.

5. Organizational Skills ~ SFI provides several marketing tools, and helpful reference tools. Key code tracking is one of the most effective tools available. Know where your potential clients or customers are coming from and invest in these areas for more quality results. Use your genealogy to recognize your better performers and do what you can do to help them further their business and help grow both of your organizations.

Well Laley, this is a very good question.

When I am fortunate enough to gain a new PSA, whether through personal recruiting, online advertising, or by earning them in a Pricebender's Auction my first tip to them is simple: As a new affiliate with SFI you need to be motivated to succeed and willing to be persistent and dedicated. Start by following the simple step by step process that SFI has already provided for you. There are several income streams so pick the one that best fits your abilities and just go for it! Read! Study! and Learn!

Now the best tip I can give a new PSA is this: Be Patient and willing to put in the necessary effort to build a strong organization. It will not happen overnight, but it will happen. Put your mind to it and together we can help you succeed. We will share our success with others and help them succeed as well.

Your question asks: "as a new team leader" and to be honest, if you are a "new" team leader I would not suggest that you jump in on reassignment too quickly.

I would first take some time to decide who my real "movers" are in my team.

If you are new to team leader status you are just now reaping the benefits and you should take some time to find a good balance, decide who is deserving of a new PSA, and which members you think might benefit from having one of your PSA's guide them.

There are several reasons for reassigning PSA's, but its not a process you just jump into and start throwing people around. If you have a comfortable relationship with one of your PSA's you may not want to move them and instead work with each other to build a stronger downline.

Balance is key to everything in SFI. You can use the reassignment tool to really boost your business if you choose who and where wisely and use patience in doing so.

Initial contact is highly important, but not always the most important!

One thing to remember in business is that everyone is different:
different in how they view a new opportunity
different in how they approach a new opportunity
different in how they commit to a new opportunity.

So if you run into someone that is very interested in home based business, the follow-up will definitely be more important (since you caught their attention from the start, with it being something they were already enthusiastic about)

Yet if you run into someone working a full time job, struggling to make ends meet and mention a home based business, right now is when it is most important. You may not get a follow-up.

First impressions are always important, but the follow-up is equally important.

For SFI affiliates, there is no activity that is overrated. Everything is in place for a reason. I see a few answers suggesting the daily tabs are overrated, but if you look at it from someone just starting out and learning the business, it is key to gaining valuable VP with no cost and gets them in a rhythm of visiting the site daily and exploring.

The most underrated activity would definitely be gift card utilization. People like stuff for free, and its a great way to get new people to TripleClicks.com

If I gave you $12 to go spend at the department store you'd be excited, find something you like and probably spend more than the $12 while shopping. You'd have a wonderful experience and it would entice you to return. Same goes for TripleClicks ... If I give you a $12 gift card, you'll visit the site and find something you want. If it costs a little more than $12 you'd dig in your pocket and pay for it. Later you would remember that other nice item you saw and return once again.

There are several social sites online, facebook and twitter are not the only options.

A blog is a very good way to get some followers and spread the word, but don't make a blog that completely targets work-at-home audiences. Target those people that working from home would fulfill a need.

Its less about what tools you use, and more about what groups you target.

I can throw SFI banners, and TripleClicks WoW Auctions in your face all day long but if it is not what your interested in at the time, it will just flash by while you surf on to the next site.

On the otherhand, if I have a site (blog) setup that has several members coming to chat about a very popular topic among optimal "work from home" groups, and just had 1 or 2 eye catching banners on there it would have a much more effective approach.

Focus on the target, and not the tool. Figure out your target, then decide on the tool.
