Each week I send a team mail message to my whole team, but I also write individually to various members according to how I perceive their needs from the information in the Genealogy.

I use this for communicating with my team, to encourage them to progress positively. By this I get some VersaPoints each week by sending one message. I use the VP info in my genealogy report to see who is active and who is enthusiastic. I will recognize the enthusiastic ones in my Leadership Page blog and I might sometimes mention them in other communication I have with my PSAs and CSAs.

I use the info also to motivate and inspire myself to greater action! That info makes me realize how importance it is for me as a leader to set an example for my team and also to find ways to encourage, inspire and otherwise coach and train them for SFI success.

I was taught to place the inactive people on the back burner and focus on those that have enough interest to login a minimum of once per week. In the early months they should be interested enough to finish out the LaunchPad lessons averaging one per day. That gives them 480 points and a lot of know how. The applicant's interest can be evaluated in many ways. Do they respond to your laying out a path for them to follow, as sheep follow a shepherd. Teach them a simple path and they are less likely to get confused with all the avenues available on SFI. Anticipate the many variables in a conglomerate of world-wide persons. Don't over-expect. Try to learn, if possible, the reason for their inactivity and help them overcome problems.

I use the information in my Genealogy about the VP of my affiliates to determine how serious they are individually then know how I can assist them. It is also easier for me to know the last time they visited the SFI site. I am able to encourage them collectively and individually, then build a personal relationship with each. However, there are some that do not visit SFI after their enrollment. For such affiliates depending my proximity to them, I could look them up on SKYPE and do encourage them.

The VP your team generation levels generate individually and the grand total for your entire team within your Genealogy helps you to have a fair assessment on your team's performance collectively. It is now a powerful feature for you to easily pull up or quickly identify those affiliates in your group that are not performing well. You will also have an idea of your up-and-coming leaders. And through this feature, you can point out who are or who is the very active and the not active affiliate. If you can see that some can't keep up the pace but some can, you can help those affiliates that are left behind so that your affiliates will be in good standing. It is not like removing the inactive but it is saving them to be active.

For those who appear to be losing interest by not logging in for a while or having a low VP tally, I check on their profile and try to remind them of the goals they had when they joined SFI. I try and encourage them to log back in and keep working the business and that their goals are attainable if they work. I also ask if they need my help, reminding them that I am always available to answer any questions they may have.

Those who have higher VP tallies, I drop a note to tell them they are doing well and encourage them to keep up the good work. I also remind them of my availability to help them with any problems which may occur.

In my weekly team mail, I try to encourage a friendly spirit within my team and share personal successes of members with the rest of the team, hoping that others' success stories may help to motivate those who are falling behind as well as boost those who are working well. I also share some aspect of the business that I may have only recently had clarified for myself, or some new insight on working the business. I figure if something was not clear to me before, then maybe it isn't clear to my team either.

I check and use the Genealogy information every day.
