I agree with much of what is written so far. But here is what I actually do.
I send a letter to every new person (see below). To my PSA level one I send a letter from me. To those at lower levels I send the letter below. I prefer sending it via my email because the links are live, but at lower levels I do not have access to emails so use the Team Mailer.

Dear Mary,

Welcome to SFI. Martha is your immediate sponsor and is a great, talented, and successful person. I just

We all will constantly gain a very large share of " 0 " affiliates who sign up and never take action. This is not to pose a negative, but just a fact. As leaders we realize this as we attempt to get more involved.

Most people are always in a hurry, and never take time to figure out how to make real money in SFI. The business is so simple that is just flies right over their heads. They are looking for the catch or the easy way out so they drop out or never really get started,

I think there are several reasons people join and then do nothing. First, We are in a microwave society and constantly bombarded with the get rich quick programs. You know the one....make 30K in 30 days! When people join these, they expect instant results. When they don't get those instant results, they move on to something they think will solve their problems today.

I think some who join SFI expect to be making money IMMEDIATELY and have no idea of what it takes to actually build

Some join because they think its easy money, when they find its not they give up. Others get confused after a short time and decide to stop trying. Others are lazy and dont want to devote the time and effort to learn and do. Then there are those who become your diomonds, they are your workers who are determined to make a success of SFI and are willing to spend time, effort and money to do so. These are the ones you should really concentrate on helping to grow their business as they will make you

I think that most people are like me, where they are looking for a place to make enough money, so that even in the first month there would be enough to help pay the bills and buy the groceries. A job of necessity not a whim. I know I was searching online for an at home job that would pay me a legitimate wage, not pocket change and I stumbled upon SFI.
That very reason as to why they join is probably the reason they don't stay with it. They are not looking at the long term benefits but

There are many people looking to try to earn a quick buck and are looking for the easiest way to do so with on-line businesses. That is only because so many sites claim that you can make X amount of money within hours of starting and purchasing their products. So their heads get filled with such nonsense, that they will invest money into those others falsely promising sites only later to discover that they really are not going to make the money they were first promised and just leave them hanging

Not to force anything.
Explain the basic facts.
Use short sentences.
Ask questions: "How can I help you?" or "What is not clear?" or "really chcešvyd?lávat money with SFI?" etc.
Properly orient (links to specific thing).
Motivate - mainly personal example, experience.
Write a personal e-mail (in addition to PSA / CSA ??Mailer).
And most importantly: with pig-headed person not waste your time and nerves.

This is a good question but the problem is not only in SFI. In any MLM there are a lot of people (the most) who do nothing. I would recommend to be honest with your affiliates and to tell them that this is not a way of making quick money. It takes patience, but most of all perseverance and time will come to see the fruits. Keep in mind that for every 30 members, one is really going to do the business. Work with him and do not focus on the other 29. Let them go at their own pace.

I believe that most people see that they can join this business free but think they can do very little or nothing. SFI stresses, right from the beginning, that this business is not a, "get rich scheme." It even warns them that if this is what they are looking for, this is not for them. Some people are not very good readers. They are visual people. Some people just do not want to make the effort. Some have problems in their lives that take up most of their time and resources. Some
