There are various titles you can give yourself in accordance to the many ways you earn at SFI.
I will elaborate on the few I know:

ECA PROGRAMME;
(a) By becoming an ECA yourself you become a store owner, rightfully, because you sell your products..You can tell your friends you are the owner of Online Store at TripleClicks.com.

(b) By reffering ECAs you become Marketer working with TripleClicks.com.

SFI;
By being an affiliate at SFI you become a Mentor, a Motivational speaker and Team leader at TripleClicks.com..

Every title will revolve around TripleClicks.

I think this question is self explanatory, I'll explain why. By the time you become fully self-employed, you'll become aware of all the "in & outs" of SFI. It'll become very easy for you to speak with someone about SFI because all you need to do is just share your personal experience with him/her & that will be enough. At that point of time you'll be the brand ambassador of SFI.

But still as you're asking, I'm giving my point of view below:

You should say that you're an Internet Entrepreneur. You're associated with an US based company(SFI) dealing in online business. You should emphasize over the company profile stating that - "Working online with SFI means to operate together with a reliable, innovative and dynamic Company, serving Consumers and Companies from all over the world. SFI has an impeccable track record, built up during 16 years of presence on the international market. Since 1998 SFI offers a profitable and reliable business opportunity to people worldwide".

You should mention the rank you're holding & also the no. of affiliates you possess in your team whom you've recruited, trained & helped to the path of success. You should clearly mention about the different verticals that you're working in & the various income opportunities provided by them viz. Online sales, Online marketing, Affiliate marketing, ECA(E-Commerce Associate) Program, Pay-per action program, Wave-3 program etc.You can make it even more interesting by mentioning about the Pricebenders auctions(awesome prices), Online stores, Member listings(Garage sales) etc.

Remember, the one you're answering is actually one of your prospects. You can tell him/her about your success story & how SFI have helped you(& million others) to achieve it. Actually you're speaking about yourself in a general conversation but in turn you are hopefully generating a PSA/PRM/ECA. Just think about it, such is the power of this awesome online program.

So the next time someone asks you about your living, keep spreading the "word of mouth" communication & grow yourself even bigger along with SFI.

You tell them the truth about SFI because its a very Reputable Company to be associated with. When I retire from my current job in a few years time my focus will be SFI. I am building my foundation now and slowly but surely progressing with my Ranks and my Duplication and I have a success story to tell.
My Aim and Dream must become a reality and I strive everyday to outshine this motto.
I ask myself where do I get a Course on Marketing which is FREE and the perks are good, Only here.
These are the perks I found:
Sell your stuff on Tripleclicks,
Participate in Auctions which only millionares do nowdays and the items are Brand New,
Join Wave 3 and get all the perks.
Meet a2a members from your Area,
Get commissions from people you Mentor and Sponsor.
List goes on!!!
If I was not cash strapped and bills to pay I would have joined SFI on a full time basis and never looked back.

Being fully self-employed with SFI and making a comfortable income is your BEST marketing tool.

Many people are skeptical about affiliate marketing programs, seeing them as scam schemes where all the benefits go to the top and everyone else is exploited. If you can show people by your testimony of success with SFI, that it is a legitimate program with equal chances of success for everyone who is prepared to work for it, then half your work in acquiring prospects is done.

So in answer to your question, you tell them "I am an entrepreneur" and you tell them about SFI and the myriad opportunities there are for participation and success. You tell them of the thousands who join everyday and that those who persevere succeed. You invite them to join and assure them that it is free to do so and easy to leave if they cannot pursue the program. You give them a gift card for TripleClicks and invite them to a Pricebenders auction; you give an invitation to Wave3 or, if they are in business, invite them to become an ECA and have an online presence to expand their business. You show them how they too can reap the benefits of becoming an SFI affiliate. In so doing, you take another step in your own journey with SFI - you DUPLICATE.

Yes, you work online, in SFI!Strong Future International!
You are happy and you can recommend him/her to do the same thing.
Than explain all you need to explain, About SFI, TripleClicks, PriceBenders Auctions, how to make money,... Than, don't hesitate to give him/her link to register for free and be happy when you read an email confirmation from SFI that you have new PSA.

This is my first ever Ask SC answer so I hope I've followed all the rules. :-)

Tim Ferriss, the author of the 4-hour work week, claims that whenever someone asks him what he does for a living, he tells them he's a drug dealer. Hahaha. Seriously, he does. Well, I'm not sure if he is being serious and I personally wouldn't tell people the same thing. Also, I doubt there are many people who don't know who Tim Ferriss is anyway.

So, what should you tell people when they ask you what you do? Well, you look like a young man so if someone asks you what you do, you should tell them you're retired! When they look at you as if you're crazy, and ask if you're being serious, you say, "Sure". And then, when they eventually ask you how you can possibly be retired at such a young age, you can then say, "Ah-ha. I'm glad you asked me. I...." and then tell them all about SFI.

Make sure you have same business cards made up, or gift certificates, with your affiliate number so that you can tell them that if they're interested, they should just put in your link and that will make you their sponsor. You can then tell them that, as you will be their sponsor, you'll be able to show them how they can have the same success.

This what I do to build my business

1. I do my to-do list everyday.
2. I maintain my EA status by having a standing order. I recommend the 125 T-credits every month.
3. Since my time is short and do not have the time to place free ads, I purchase my
PSAs from Tripleclicks. It gives me VP and purchase T-Credits to use for bidding.
4. I enter auctions to win PSAs, CSAs T-credits and other valuable tools.
5. I visit the forum to see what questions I can get knowledge from or help someone else with an answer.

Getting BTL in your first month is easy, but will be hard to maintain unless you have down line with a
couple of them being EA2s or higher.
Getting 500 VP from bidding and 300 VP from Gift card Distribution will help also.

Also at the auctions, even if you do not bid, you can win free T-credits by entering the PTP or T-Time drawing.

You just answered your own question here. You will be self-employed. There is no other way to say it. You should start saying that now. When you set your mind to that and think that way you will progress within time. You already have the mind-set because you started SFI. From this point forth you should start telling people when asked that you are self-employed and watch how some may inquire and maybe even join. Now how's that for free advertising for building your team.

I know I started saying that when I knew that SFI really works, which was about a year from joining.

You are now self-employed. Start saying this now and you will never have to worry about what should you tell people. This alone will motivate you to work SFI.
