Explaining SFI's role with TripleClicks is actually fairly simple but for some who have only done business offline you may need to make a comparison for them.
SFI is an Affiliate program for TripleClicks. It works as a pay per action relationship much like hiring someone for commissioned sales, like Avon representatives, or Amway, Watkins, or even the old door to door Kirby Vacuum Cleaner salesman.
When you pay a minimum of 15% of the sale price to TripleClicks a portion is reserved to cover site cost, a small profit, and payment processing fees. The remainder is passed on to SFI who pays the affiliate marketer who promoted your products and brought the customer into your ECA store that made the purchase. They also pay a smaller portion to the co-sponsor of that affiliate and another portion goes into a profit sharing pool for all active affiliates, which acts as a bonus for taking actions daily to build your business.
All of this is no touch and no hassle for you as an ECA.
If you were to hire a salesperson offline you might have to pay Minimum Wage until they get going well enough to where their commissions exceed the guaranteed minimum. You would have training cost, and benefits cost, would have to report taxes on their behalf, and if your business grows big enough you might even have to fight employee unions.
With an online affiliate program all of the affiliate sales force are private contractors signed on with SFI. Only SFI is responsible for tax filings and reporting and since the affiliates are not employees of any company there are no unions involved. You don't have to hire an accountant to handle paying each affiliate 1 by one as SFI handles everything to do with these affiliates.
The affiliates often use paid forms of advertising and social media including video to promote product sales. This massively extends any advertising you do on your own and if your prices are fair, commissions are good, and the offer is worded nicely and includes great product images you can be sure that a lot of affiliates will connect with your store to promote your products.
Is there anything special that you can do to boost the success of your ECA Store?
Yes, to start you can bring current customers with you because they are most apt to buy something and leave a great review from your new shop. Good ratings and great reviews appeal to both customers and affiliates looking for products to promote. You can also advertise your store to generate even more sales activity that the affiliates will see happening and want to be a part of.
The best things you can do involve a couple recent program changes. The first is a new featured ECA program that you can bid T-credits purchased on TripleClicks that will not only feature your ECA site on TripleClicks but will also put it in front of 1.2 million SFI Affiliates. This is the ultimate advertising value as it can cost you as little as $20 and reach millions of people who will potentially buy your products and or promote them to millions of other prospective customers.
The other new change has to do with our auctions which have a new international option of taking a Gift Certificate or T-credits on items they can not have shipped to their country.
By offering the same or similar items to those listed in PriceBenders auctions at reasonable rates you can apply to be added to regional list that are suggested for the auction winner to buy the product locally and save on shipping. This is also valuable because US and Canadian members will also have the option to take t-credits or Gift Certificates.
All ECA are also able to now take t-credits or MRP which are our own in house rewards point system in return for merchandise. The ECA will get their full cash value and not have to wait extra time for settlements like offering a loyalty rewards card.
MRP or Member Reward Points are earned on every auction bid, every in game purchase with Eager Zebra Games, and every purchase made around the site using cash equivalents such as credit or debit cards, t-currency, or other local or regional payment option. Every time someone buys something or spends a t-credit on something on the site they could silently be earning a reward of a product in your store paid for by TripleClicks as a way of saying thank you for being a loyal customer.
Needless to say SFI and TripleClicks have gone all out to help your business be a success and it doesn't cost you anything until a sale is made and our final selling fees are among the lowest in the industry. Welcome to the ECA Program.
