You did use the words, "To build a successful SFI business." this shows you are referring to success as a business owner.

To be successful in business, one must maintain a business outlook, that is not relying on a sponsor or anyone to make it a success.

Your sponsor is another type of resource made available by SFI, he/she is like a business consultant. We have a closer relationship with our sponsors because of their role. We can contact our sponsor directly, but not to rely on them to be a success.

We can ask our sponsors for help, an opinion, guidance and support. We can utilize their expertise by learning from them.

There are; however, other resources at SFI such as the forum, these Ask SC answers, other members of your upline and admin support. If you cannot access what you are looking for from one, there is always the other.

All businesses online and offline utilize Business Resources to keep them informed and to grow. Business Consultants are usually paid for their service. At SFI your sponsor is rewarded for what he does for you.

Let us look at this question from a totally different perspective.

Whether you have personal goals or team ones, you are always going to be reliant on something or someone to help you achieve your ambition and this is also true in business. The extent to which you receive that help will vary with people but it is a fact that you will be supported in your achievements by one or many stimuli.

For example, your parents are a source of great support to you if you decide to become a competitive swimmer-they will encourage, get you motivated to train, pay for your coach to improve your strokes and sacrifice their time to ensure that you have the right atmosphere for your training. Of course much more investment goes into your training than what I have mentioned and "you" take up the challenge and work towards that dream. Without your input, your parents have nothing to show for as your achievement!

In the same context, your sponsor takes on a similar support role but it is not going to be entirely his/her responsibility to ensure that you are successful. You have to work your business. Without your input, your business will not be what you expect it to - successful.

Your sponsor can only do so much. Some of us do not have a Sponsor therefore you cannot rely on him/her. Perhaps less than 2-5% of your success will depend on your Sponsor; 95% of what you do will impact on your business. This is not to say that the 5% from your Sponsor is irrelevant-it is important but it does not mean that you cannot hit the finishing line by yourself. It all depends on you and what you want - how strong do you finish.

This would be a cumulative effect of the lessons you learn from your sponsor, the hardships you face to learn the business, your motivation and passion to want to succeed that will make your business successful. Your determination and commitment towards it will determine how well you progress not so much of how reliant you are on your sponsor.

Its imperative that for being successful it requires some sort of MOTIVATION or KICK to an individual irrespective of their background, talent and wisdom they possess from another person whom they follow or idolize towards achieving their goals.

The Sponsor provides the same motivational kick along with streamlined guidance like a parent and shows them the right path to build their PSA's SFI business and gradually help them to become successful.

Without a good sponsor, its just being boarded in a ship sailing without their captain with no fixed direction. However, this is only applicable to hard working and dedicated affiliates.

SFI itself is an encyclopedia where every information or data is available for being successful.

An affiliate can rely on 2-5% max on his sponsor. Sponsor's role is just to show them the right path. However, all the work are to be done by the affiliates

Ultimately, without the hard work, time, and dedication of down-line affiliates its not possible for a sponsor to bring them achieve success.

Hence, bottom line is that its mandatory for affiliates to seek guidance, ideas and techniques provided by their up-line sponsors and implement them in their SFI business.

A very good question because I think the whole idea of being a Sponsor is vital, or else there would not be this assigned position . How vital, is also evident in the constant way SFI encourages all Affiliates to link with their Sponsors/Uplines.

SFI know that with Sponsors, the process of ' Duplication ' also is made magnified. This is key.
Open lines of communication is a must have, not only does it provide support, it also transfers one-to-one experience and methods etc... in a personal way that is a great stimulant for the newbie wanting to learn and grow. Yes, the power of AskSc and The Forum comes in handy but,
having a Sponsor is certainly a special previllage. This is like the first friend in a strange land.

If Sponsors transmitt to their PSAs a vibes of don't care whether you succeed or not you decide,
no supportive presence and PSAs are left, no help wondering whether to stay or go. Where then is the TEAM building atmosphere? (Together We Acheive More).
Sponsors can and should help the engine SFI to run on Auto Pilot the duplication process sealed, enabling SFI to get larger and stronger. The idea of the Awesome Sponsor duplicating and replicating its self multiple time over and again. A rebirth.

We understand that to build a successful SFI business is dependent on you and you alone concept at the end of the day but, one cannot say the ultimate degree of success though measured to each his own accord is fulfilled when a slight imbalance of the scale of success is observed. When success is measured on its scale and all sides are equal then can one say I am on top of the world. I have fought the good fight, I have stayed my course and did it my way.
Since Duplication = Success then a Sponsor by example should be a support, a friend, a rely upon and mentor. An awesome Sponsor.

A Mentor
A Marketing Adviser

An Expert
An Authority
A Guide

Send a personal letter to your sponsor showing your passion, interest and dreams about your SFI business, build a cordial relation and ask for help. I’m quite sure your sponsor will certainly do the same if he/she is serious about his/her business.
If your sponsor is not an active and serious business person, don’t worry. Try to contact your co-sponsor and other whole upline team member. Trust me you will get amazing help from your upline team.
Let’s suppose, you don’t get any help from any of your upline team then what you think this business is not for you. NO don’t think so this business still for you but how— read further
1. This is your business not for your sponsor or co-sponsor
2. Trust yourself and believe you can do.
3. Be active in SFI forum and ask as many questions as you need.
4. Go to SFI basics and launchpad lessons and understand very carefully.
5. Read internet income lessons and implement them all.
6. Make 10 A2A friend who are already a team leader, start conversation and ask for help.
7. Make your brain your best friend

You should rely on your sponsor as much as you would like your own affiliates to rely on you as their sponsor.

If you had 200 or more affiliates emailing or messaging you every day with their questions, while wonderful that they are showing interest in building a successful business with SFI, you'd go crazy trying to reply to them all quickly, even if you had a folder full of many different and appropriate replies that you could send them.

Guide and support your affiliates through team mails and messages with ecards, and tell them that they can of course contact you if they need to, but encourage them to find things out on their own too. If they don't want to read and learn, it's likely they are not going to do much or earn much either, and while this is a pity, this is not your problem. You cannot do the learning and work for them.

Now put yourself in their shoes - the shoes of your affiliates - and learn and work on your own, without relying on your sponsor.

You should be able to rely on your sponsor......but for many, myself included our sponsor was/is non-existent.

Continue to try to break the ICE with your sponsor until he/she responds. Otherwise utilize other sources of support.

So rely also on all the resources that you have available. Including your Co-sponsor. My current Co-sponsor has been great help. Introducing me to mechanisms before unknown to me.

Leadership my Co-sponsor provides in bucket loads, challenging and educating me.


If your sponsor is like my current sponsor, non-existent. Utilize these other resources including your Co-sponsor.


Be a READER!

The greatest guidance you can get is from 'FOOT PRINTS' in the sand.

The greatest thing I learned from my sponsor who has been none existent in my development is, You must READ to establish your own business well.

There are many sources of reading material to assist you. The list would be lengthy but for a snap shot, for your guidance.

A2A - Here is where I found most help. Thank you to all my A2A who are seniors in SFI. A2A puts you in touch with members from around the world that can help. Be-friend a member that inspires you, ask your question and you will see the STRENGTH of SFI revealed. Its spirit! A2A is a medium where we help each one of us achieve.

Lastly rely on your sponsor for guidance and inspiration, but if they don't provide any of the above than utilize the mechanisms that are there to do that.

The best thing that can happen after joining the SFI, a Welcome letter.

It indicates sponsor beginners; warm tone, no incentive and tutorials.

For beginners, everything is new, a lot of information in a short time ... it becomes confusing for most.

E, then the sponsor there. He was not only a friend and someone who takes on the job and when indicating more steps, but also the continued support (and often the motivator).

However, quite often, not only sponsor who helps you at the beginning and later during the promotion. Glad to be of help and Upline Team Leaders. The forum site, can read discussions on various topics and to solve doubts.

The indisputable fact is that each of the members must work to inform and receive training. Regularly to carry out their tasks with To-du list, beep, play games, participate in auctions, listening and downloading music or propose music tracks or groups; to participate in auctions and so on.
No one can for him, least of all sponozor. Each of the involved must rely on ourselves to do his best and working. To read, read, read and learn ... to adopt new knowledge every day for several months.
SFI has excellent training, and it's free for all possible combinations for which the member can be defined. Gradually, with the training to be a member of the increasingly less reliant on its SFI sponsors and build your successful business to your liking. It is not necessarily a member and sponsor of the SFI have the same orientation is not the rate of progression. Someone ago to the construction team, a product advertising ... there are endless possibilities.

So, all this indicates that the work of the SFI is not just a process of acquiring knowledge, it is the process of building a business man.

First of all, I think it is important to acknowledge that each affiliate is running his own business.
The most effective way to make it work is to fully understand the mechanism of SFI;
and SFI provides you with the necessary tools and explanations on how you can start your business from ground zero, without the necessity to rely on others.
Of course it may take some time to get comfortable and familiar with the right methods to expand your SFI business: those times you are unsure on how to proceed, you do not understand something or you feel the need of an advice from someone more experienced than you, could be a smart move to contact members of your upline (sponsor, co-sponsor) or search for the right answers in the forum.

When I read this question my first thought was we can not build a successful SFI business by leaning on our sponsor.

But then I changed shoes with you. If I were asking this question what solution to my problem do I need?

Do you feel like you are relying on your sponsor too much?

Rest assured your sponsor has a working knowledge and more experience than you do and wants you to know his secrets to success so you can duplicate his/her plan and be successful.
After a little time you will get into a comfort zone and will have learned all your sponsor can teach you.

So I say just Relax and study and read and ask all the questions you want from your sponsor or upline or Gery himself! Just be sure to take action for it is in taking action that success will come to you.
