Today I'm a Platinum Team Leader, a Gold Fast Track member and I'm currently 2nd in my class as an E365 qualifier. But believe it or not, I got knocked out in the first round.
For the first week after joining I didn't do anything with SFI. I didn't even check in until I had already missed the first week's cut. I was upset but then I saw the E365 second chance program!

SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM
All affiliates who joined SFI on or after the debut of E365 on August 1, 2011, if eliminated from the contest during the first five rounds, may get back into the contest by attaining the rank of Bronze Team Leader (BTL) within their 60th day of joining SFI. Upon meeting the BTL qualification, affiliate will be immediately inserted into the Finalists Drawings and will remain eligible until affiliate's 365th day in SFI provided affiliate maintains the minimum rank of BTL. If at any time affiliate loses their BTL status, the affiliate is permanently eliminated from E365. For more information on the daily Finalists Drawings, see the PRIZES tab.
There are several points to notice here. The first is that a person can immediately get back into the E365 program by becoming a Team Leader. The second item of particular not is the stipulation that if the person getting that second chance will lose the E365 qualification immediately and permanently if they ever drop below the status of BTL.
I got my second chance at the E365 and I've never looked back. In fact the second chance at E365 has really been an extra incentive to me. I have to remain at Bronze or above because simply EA2 is not an option for me. I suppose that I appreciate my E365 status more because I had to work a little harder to 'catch up' and get it on my rebound. Maybe I've achieve the success I've had so far BECAUSE I was knocked out in my first week.
So what should you say to someone disappointed at being knocked out? I would say "Don't be glum! Just work harder and get it back with the second chance program by getting to BTL". Then treasure and protect your TL status for as long as you cherish your E365 qualification.
