To answer this,
I guess, the old ways of prospecting still works effectively, without being charged of spamming.

Spamming is something that people aren't feeling comfortable enough. And mainly used within online method. Sometimes we marketers becomes so greedy that we blast promoting to everyone without knowing their rights for a peace.. haha..

Here's an example of an offline that happens just a few minutes ago, while I was walking pass through a couple of salesman. They looks friendly and they approach each passerby, the place were quite crowded and everyone seems busy rushing time. One just standing by the wall distributing brochure while a few steps away is a dustbin and everyone throws it back into the bin. The other two, each one speaks to their prospect asking for few minutes of their time, and these prospects really looks uncomfortable with them.

I see them as desperate salesman. Maybe its the same goes to online marketing, we may not realise it but it does happens and thats how 'spamming' got its name.

My Solution is;
Relax, if we know we got something valuable, this valuables has value, and only valuable people who has the right mindset will understand it. And as we have teach our children to beware of strangers, therefore everyone will be more cautious in doing business with strangers.

So be a friend first.
Talk to millions and make good relationship. Once they read more about you from your blog or website, they will be the one who will ask you how to..

First of all let me tell you that all members of SFI forum are interested in SFI that is why they are are there. Those who are not interested in SFI wont be a member of SFI member and they won’t be visiting the forum either.

But if you are talking about the members of other forums whose you are are a member like Warrior forum, you are allowed one link to post in your signatures. You can use your signature in your posts with SFI or TC link. When they see it, they will automatically interested interested in SFI or TC without you being a spammer.

Use your blog or website and display the good article written by SFI guru on the SFI forum and advertise them on your blog or website. You can also use traffic exchange websites for the same purpose. They won’t consider you a spammer and at the same time get interested in SFI too.

The best way to get others interested in SFI is to be as interested and enthusiastic as possible yourself! Don't ever send unsolicited emails to people - that is really annoying and considered spamming.
Join the various forums, join in the discussions in a friendly, open manner and when people start to 'chat back' or reply to your posts, then you could open a conversation about your experiences with SFI.
Be honest and sincere, use excellent English on the English-speaking forums and SHARE what you know. If you are not a native-English speaker, why don't you try to join forums in your own language? You may find many interested people there.
The most important thing is not to be pushy and don't spam! Then you can't be accused of spamming!

You should approach business forums with the right INTENTION, which should be to learn, help and network, rather than seeing it just as a place to post your links.

When a forum is just full of people posting their links, it devalues the forum. People will stop reading, or leave.

Look at our SFI forum, posting of links is against the rules. This is great, because it means that most of the content in our forum is genuine advice and help. The really helpful posts are not drowned in a sea of self-promotional spamming of links.

Find a good-quality business forum. Google something that would be helpful to your business, like 'how to build a business website' and add 'forum' to the search, so 'how to build a business website forum'. Or use a search on something in business which you are really good and experienced with, and add 'forum' to the search.

With Facebook, join legitimate business focus groups, not just those groups which are full of links. People are not in those groups to help, they are only there to post their links and not read other posts. These are often a sure-fire way of getting sent to 'Facebook Jail'!

Join good business groups and forums and read the posts. Be genuinely interested. Find something that you can reply to, intend to add your own value to the discussion.

Don't even mention your own business!

In the forums, you will have your own profile, and you will be able to add a 'signature'. In your profile, write something about yourself, your background, your life, how and why you decided to have your own home business. In the signature, you can add a link to your gateway or, preferably, a link to your own website or blog.

When you add to a discussion in the forum, the link to your profile and your signature will be visible to other users. If what you are contributing is useful to other members, they will be interested in you and will click on your profile or your signature.

There is a concept in network marketing known as KLT - Know, Like, Trust - also known as 'attraction marketing'. When people get to know, like and trust you, they will be attracted to you and what you have to offer. Don't try and get them interested in SFI, aim to get them interested in YOU!

Think about our own Forum Guru program here in the SFI Forum. What does it take to become a Forum Guru? Providing useful, clear posts that help other users. Whether you are beginning a new thread, or replying to somebody else's, the intention should be 'How can I help you?' rather than 'What's in it for me?'. Aim to become a Forum Guru in your home business forums.

Participate in the forum as if you are helping your own team, colleagues and peers. When what you provide is of value, members will 'follow' you.

They will not join your business immediately. They will need time to KLT you. So you will need to be a regular and consistent visitor and contributor to the forum.

Don't focus on money or income or signups. Focus on the knowledge you can give and receive, the relationships and connections you are building. Show genuine interest in your fellow forum members. Look for posts that will help you, and thank that forum member for their help. Get others to notice you for your contribution, remember your profile and signature is visible on every post.

The best way to get members of home business forums interested in SFI without being accused of spamming is to:

1. Do not Spam! Nobody likes unsolicited mail and comments and they might get you suspended from the forum.

2. Become a friend first. People generally care about themselves. Try to help other people first. If you help other people of the forum, they will start to be interested in what you do and they will have a look at your profile. I would say that you need to be genuine and have integrity in what you are doing, so join the forums, be a genuine, active member, build relationships, get advice from them, make sure you know the rules and regulations of each one... How do they behave and work with each other? Get a good feel for each one. Be a giver before you try to be a 'getter'!

Once you've built a good name for yourself it will be much easier to share about your SFI business and get people interested because they will be much less suspicious of you and SFI if you already have a good relationship with them! It's maybe a bit slower to develop but I think you'll find it more fruitful in the long run!

Draft a great spiel outlining SFI, offer your ongoing assistance and send them some form of incentive.

Once your potential lead has contacted you for further information, you can then supply it which is then not considered spam as they have made the request.
