Having had quite a lot of experience with other online businesses, I think I can answer this from both my 'heart' and from actual knowledge.
Firstly - I would have to say that there are very few other online businesses with such a welcoming, friendly community of like-minded people. We are all here to help each other and there is plenty of advice and direction from other members and from the actual SFI information pages.
Secondly - I believe that the training here is exemplary. There is not a lot of 'hype' that promises much but delivers very little. Everything that the new affiliate is promised is here - provided he/she is willing to work to achieve success.
Thirdly - I don't know of any other sites that are completely FREE to join! I do know of at least one other site that is probably as good as SFI, but it charges a monthly fee which is not always easy to find if you are cash-strapped to start with!
Fourthly - SFI is VERY different due to the games, competitions and fun badges that we can earn. I believe that this spirit of friendly competition is one of the reasons for SFI's amazing success.
Fifthly - whilst the TripleClicks selling platform has similarities to eBay and Amazon, the biggest difference is the links back to SFI, which make the whole program extremely unique and very, very powerful.
And last but not least, the addition of an MLM-type of growth/reward/compensation plan means that there is nothing else quite like SFI. I believe that SFI has the best features of all the good online marketing programs but it is always free and (with a lot of hard work and initiative) it would be possible to start making an income with very little expenditure.
Like everything in life - the more you put in, the more you get out!

I use the Stream for a few reasons:
1. To gain another free Versa Point and they do add up over a month
2. To communicate with my downline. At this point, I am still fairly new compared to some of the veterans here, but I have steadily advanced in rank and I am using the experience I gain to learn how to communicate better
3. It forces me to look up, to find, to read something positive to share with others. It is just a good habit to get into and one that I have started to really enjoy since joining SFI

To better answer you actual question, I'd say that the Stream is a good way to keep in touch with all your connections very easily so it should not be overlooked. It keeps your thoughts and comments in front of people, so just use it to encourage, to inspire, to share, to keep in touch - that's really all there is about it.

I post as often as possible, but at a minimum - every 2 days. We are encouraged to post at least every 3 days, but it wouldn't hurt to post every day if you have something valuable to share.

Hello Suresh,

The best way to start marketing - is simply to make a start! That might sound simplistic, but if you don't ever make a start somewhere, you will get bogged down in wondering...how? where? why? who? when?....etc! So make a start with something simple and cheap like:

1. Make a posting on your facebook page and update it regularly, letting your friends know what you are doing..."hey guys - I've recently joined a great program that is teaching me how to make an income online - if you'd like to check it out, then go here (insert your link)
OR
"hi friends - check out these fun games at TripleClicks where you can play for free and win some fabulous prizes...(insert your link)
2. If you have a list of friends or acquaintances who you have permission to email, then send them all a brief, friendly email letting them know what you are doing
3. Print some flyers (check out the advertising and marketing available at SFI) and put them up at your local store, health club, sports club...anywhere that has a community noticeboard.
4. Hand out some flyers or gift cards when you go out, or if you are allowed to, at shopping centres etc
5. Print off a few more flyers and go for a walk around the neighbourhood (good exercise too!) and put them in letterboxes.
If you did all 5 of these, regularly and consistently for a month, you would be sure to get at least a few interested people and some sign ups. Then most importantly of all - look after your sign-ups once you get them!

However, that is just a little bit sarcastic. I'm sure there are good sponsors here - but they are just as difficult to find as good affiliates!
But if you make sure that you keep up with your daily actions, earn as many points as you can, stay in the 365 Championship, ask questions, maintain your rank...then eventually someone in your upline will notice your hard work.
I wish you all the best, because upline support is vital to maintaining a good team and therefore, a good income, yet many affiliates complain that they get very little support.
But - be outstanding - and you WILL get help! And you must ask for help. If you need support, then ask. And ask again. And again, until you get the help you need!

Your best bet is to simply explain to your prospective ECA's that TripleClicks is a GLOBAL marketplace with a huge audience. And that audience is growing every single day!
Take eBay for example - that is a great global marketplace too, but the good thing about SFI and TripleClicks is that so many of us - thousands in fact - log in here every single day to do our Action VP's and check out the competition etc. You could explain that people mostly only go to Amazon or eBay when they actually want to BUY something. Here at TC and SFI we come EVERY day! Big difference. And mostly while we are here, we spend at least a few minutes browsing the stores and checking out the new ECA's.
You could also explain that there are hundreds of other TC and SFI affiliates in your area with whom you can connect to get LOCAL sales. It's like one big huge 'garage sale' as we call them in Australia. And make sure you also stress the GLOBAL reach of TC - that must not be overlooked.
Another thing you can point out is that while eBay and Amazon are good selling platforms, TC is way more fun for buyers and sellers! Tell your ECA's about all the great competitions, winning free stuff, the games, the music downloads and the EXTRA benefits you gain by being a part of the Executive Pool and earning an income while you sell your products.
There is nothing else quite like TripleClicks and that should be another selling point - it is quite unique.

The best way to get others interested in SFI is to be as interested and enthusiastic as possible yourself! Don't ever send unsolicited emails to people - that is really annoying and considered spamming.
Join the various forums, join in the discussions in a friendly, open manner and when people start to 'chat back' or reply to your posts, then you could open a conversation about your experiences with SFI.
Be honest and sincere, use excellent English on the English-speaking forums and SHARE what you know. If you are not a native-English speaker, why don't you try to join forums in your own language? You may find many interested people there.
The most important thing is not to be pushy and don't spam! Then you can't be accused of spamming!

I am assuming you can speak and write reasonable English?
Firstly, if English is not your first language, then I would check out some online or community college classes in your area to improve your skills. That will be of value to you even if you ultimately decide that SFI is not for you.
Secondly, if you need assistance to improve your English skills, then why not ask for help here? There may be people (like me!) who would be willing to edit your written work in exchange for a few T-credits, a Gift card or even for free - it's a pretty nice community!
Thirdly, practice - in anything - makes perfect. Keep trying and you WILL improve.
Lastly - perhaps you just need some encouragement - maybe you are better than you think you are!
Being a good sponsor is not so much about having perfect English or the most amazing speech, but about displaying a helpful, caring attitude to your downline. At the very least - welcome them to the team (use the SFI samples if you are not confident of writing your own) and keep in contact on a regular basis, even if you just say "Hi - this is Laura, your sponsor - is there anything you need help with at SFI?" and if you don't understand something - there are lots of people here who are happy to help!
Just give it your best shot, Laura - you can be a good sponsor!

The short answer is - the more you put into something, the more you will get out!
Having said that - I understand how you feel, as I too, have very little disposable cash to spend trying to get something going. You can see by my scoreboard badges, that I have thrown myself into earning as many badges as possible in as short a time as possible. You WILL need to buy some T-credits as these are the currency of SFI and will allow you to invest some time and effort into playing the games, entering the auctions etc, which will in turn earn you more of this, that and the other thing here at SFI.
So basically - you will need to invest something into SFI - whether it is a lot of time on the free stuff, hoping to get a small return or whether you decide to invest a little cash and get a better return - it is up to you. But nothing in this life is actually free - we invest something of ourselves into everything - and the return is up to us - how much we get out of it, will depend on how much we put in!

I guess one of the most important things is to constantly evaluate and track what you are doing.

Are you assigning codes to your advertising efforts so you can track what is actually happening? You might be doing better than you think! This doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a spreadsheet on your computer or even a notebook.

For example, if you are using an Autoresponder service such as MailChimp, even the free version gives you open rates, click through rates etc. I discovered with one of my email campaigns, that my open rate was actually 5 times the industry average with one particular subject line. When I tried a different subject line, my open rate dropped to half the previous email. But both of them were actually doing very well, compared to the industry standard.

If you do some tracking for a few of your advertising campaigns, you will very quickly work out which ones are doing well, not so well, badly or really badly! So ditch the ones that aren't working or just re-hash them. Sometimes it's as simple as writing a more engaging subject line.

In addition, just a small word of warning - don't spend a lot of money on ANY advertising campaign without doing a small test run first. Split test all your campaigns and if you find one that DOES get results, then work it to the max!!!

There are so many different types of advertising available and if you aren't very good at writing, then try places like Elance and Freelancer and Fivver. For just a few dollars, you can get some pretty nifty writing done by an expert.
