Is cold calling, using a local telephone directory, a good method for attracting new PSAs?

I think cold calling using your local phone directory wouldn't be a good idea, may even become a problem.
Most people don't like telemarketers calling them at home or in their business.
Unless your using the telephone directory to look up a number for a family member or friend, I'd have to say use a different method of recruiting.
I'd drop the phone and try this out, if you have a

If you are good at Cold Calling there certainly is no reason why you should not do it. In other businesses I have used Cold Calling right from the Telephone Book to set up sales appointments with good success. Your approach will be very important. Your first few words will determine if the person you called will listen to what you have o say or hang up on you. Plan your approach carefully.

My approach was always identifying who I am and the purpose of my call. Then I offered a FREE something

Nothing wrong. Can give a try.

But many times it will be difficult to make the opponent hold the phone until we finish our conversation. In a short time, we should be able to convey the message in a convincing way. Voice barriers, telephone instrument problems, signaling problems might be there.
The person whom we are dialing should have patience and time to listen.
Before calling we should keep a script ready what to be told in an understandable way in a short time.

No, I think not.

Cold calling is old fashioned and a waste of time in this day of online communications. Calling your friend on the phone is a good idea, but only if they are a very close friend.

This is a duplication business and the last thing I want is a bunch of my down line PSAs on the phone thinking they are doing the right thing.

Most of the people I know just hang up when they get a cold call. It matters not what they say or how they say it.

There is NO bad method of recruiting PSA's. Having said that, keep this in mind. If your going to phone solicit people using a phone directory, you could get in trouble with the Nations "Do Not Call List". Calling people who are on that list violates certain FCC regulations. There are ways to avoid this problem but it requires purchasing a memberships and using a whitelist phone directory. In addition it takes allot of manual time just to find interested suspects, you must cultivate into

In my opinion, cold calling using local telephone directory is not a good method of attracting new PSAs. Many a times, if a cold call is placed, either it is rejected or we receive a hostile reply.

My suggestion: Note down a few telephone numbers near your place of residence and pay a personal visit and introduce yourself and tell them about the online business opportunity in brief. You may get a good response from a few and follow up with them and close the deal.

With best

Yes it can be.

This depends largely on your own personality and your ability to talk with people. Remember you are just a voice over the phone. You do not have much time to grab the listener's attention. Also remember SFI's reputation is on the line every time, so you've got to be professional.

Your preparations must be the very best and well thought out:

- The area where these people live. Is it an affluent area, young people, retirees, young family etc..

Personally I think cold calling a list of phone numbers to recruit new Personally Sponsored Affiliates is not the way to go, however if you have the time and are comfortable dialing a list of people for the first time and talking about SFI.

I prefer using Ads from TripleClicks that generate traffic to my Gateways, and purchasing PSA packs and having S-builder shares. You get a lot of new Personally Sponsored Affiliates but its a number game as quite a few are usually inactive and in order

I don't think any form of advertising is out of play - with cold calling, you can do well. Possibly better even than internet advertising as far as percentage of signups goes. But the thing with internet advertising is that you can reach more people - the cold calling is obviously more time-consuming for you to reach people.

So I wouldn't limit yourself to cold calling, but it is certainly one of the avenues you can pursue. Again, I think any form of advertising is good - especially

It is a good question that everyone should able to answer. Answers to this questions will make able the affiliates especially new affiliates to take a decision. Answer to this question is hidden in the game "Gold Streak" at Tripleclicks. I have found that in this game the most popular answer to the question "What is more annoying?" is, "Telemarketing Caller / marketing executives...........etc". What does it mean? It means that unwanted or unsolicited calls are annoying
