I prefer both!
Sponsoring is very important! It’s like building an army that contributes for your big empire! Having many PSA will grant your SFI business to its fullest! And you can even earn a VersaPoint Matching up to 12th level deep. That means every PSA is equivalent to 12th level deep… talk about owning a big building without any overhead! But take note that every PSA you will have is your responsibility! You’ll need to teach them at least how to maintain EA2 every month, this will guarantee that you will receive 100 VP in each PSA that’s qualifies as EA2 and that’s where the money starts leveraging!
And here is good news! Once you are SFI affiliates, you are also TripleClicks member, so the answer is PSA! So there you have it! Becoming Affiliates is better in these questions… but in the end... You’ll do both!

In my both option is good, but I suggest you to refer more PSA's to SFI, because once the member joins as PSA under you , he will become TC member too by default, so that you can get both the benefits in long term, provided that the PSA should stay active.
If you refer only TC member you only will get DC from the purchase, but if he/she is a PSA then you will get more benefits like:
1)Matching VP
2)Bonus action VP for supporting a EA2,BTL,STL,GTL and PTL.

Here you have immense potential for earning. Once you recruit an Affiliate, he and his down line up to 12 levels are your lifetime customers. Even when you are not doing anything your income goes on increasing.
From your referred TripleClicks members you get commission and VersaPoints for their purchases, but only when they buy. Here, there is no growth of your down line.

Personally, I do not think either is better than the other. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. In the end you will benefit from either. If you choose to sponsor SFI Affiliate you will build a network of Affiliates and earn commission from each sale they make. If you refer TripleClicks members you will benefit each time they make a purchase or if they join ECA ((E-Commerce Associates) So instead of preferring one over the other why not do both and your profit will be greater.
Reffering Tripleclicks members is just as good as sponsoring.

As you can see that SFI major action is to promote Tripleclicks stores and for any SFI affiliate you referred or sponsored will automatically be tripleclick member since their rewards to active affiliates lies actions or auction taken at tripleclick stores through the process of buying and selling of their goods.
More so, for any action done on tripleclick website, as a SFI affiliate you will not only earn income or rewards on tripleclick but also earn on SFI. These rewards are CV, DC, TC, VP, MRP, MP etc.
In this case, to sponsor SFI affiliate is more preferable than to refer TC affiliate based on the above explanations.

You put this question under compensation category, and if in term of compensation, both are good but first you have to know your prospect interest.
If your prospect need extra income, then introduce SFI program.
If your prospect interested on electronics then probably use auction program.
If your prospect is music artist then probably introduce tripleclicks monthly contest,
If your prospect like challenge to test their IQ, probably you introduce Time machine zebra games.
If your prospect have a lot of jewellery ask her to sell some that she don't need.
Lastly, let them know that if they sign up under your TC IDnumber, you get credit on it.
