Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

There is a difference between bribing and promotion. Bribing is aimed at gaining undue favours. Gift Certificates, TCredits and other incentives would certainly not come within this category.

As human beings, the expectation of rewards gets the best out of us. It prods us on to give our best and work to our full potential.

In my opinion Gift Certificates, TCredits and other incentives will work well to encourage your team to do its best, thereby benefitting each member of the

Most people will likely try something when they are told that it is for FREE or do what you ask when they get something in return for their effort and time. The key is to give something that is NOT freebies BUT rewards and only to your hardworking team members, the movers. This is a most effective marketing method commonly used by businesses and SFI is one.

This is also what I have experienced and learned so far. Without VPs, bonuses, prizes, commissions, privileges or badges in exchange

Well, there's a big difference between a "bribe" and an "incentive." A "bribe" would be asking them to do things they don't want to do for whatever reason, while an "incentive" rewards them for actions they might have taken anyway. As a sponsor, if I've got a big downline, in between talking with those that are already making the effort, giving everyone a chance to feel like their efforts are paying off only makes some sense. On the other hand, if you're

Hi there.

Dont make a mistake here, bribe is not the same as reward. You need to reward people for their work, but for their hard work, not for some little or not important things.

For example:
Let's say that you have PSA that is EA, and he have problem to achieve BTL, help him, by giving him a reward for his good work, only if he have some active members. If he does not, how do you expect to maintain BTL next month if he doesnt have active members.

Give them

Giving a TCredit or Gift Certificate to an already active PSA that's only 100-200VP away from EA status is called encouragement and/or a boost from from sponsor to help them get to the finish line!

If we want our downline to sponsor we need to show them how! We need to show them that we are willing to help them out because if they don't make money we don't. If we want them to make money we need to show them how.

SFI teaches that this business is more about building people

My opinion is...

In any job it is nice to be rewarded for a job well done.
What if you worked at a job very hard and never received a raise, let alone a pat on the back?
When rewards are given, I feel it gives associates a chance to make decisions about the business and what they will spend their gift on.
It will assist them to look more at the business in depth.
It also creates duplication, a sense of urgency and makes them feel they are doing a GREAT

Definitely no. To answer your questions, you need to ask the following questions:

- Do you want to take full advantage of the process of Duplication?

- Do you want to achieve your full potential of being an SFI affiliate?
How bribing affects your network and team building:

- You’re building a downlines that will depend on your giving of Gift Certificates (GC), TCredits and other incentives.

- Your downlines will develop a habit of “do the job

I believe, having the ability to recognise potential and reward individuals on their achievements, is a key element of being a good Team Leader. Fortunately, SFI provides us with the tools to do just that.

If you think of Reward and Recognition as a "bribe", then you are in the wrong school of thought! Think of it in terms of motivating and incentivising your team to aim higher and achieve more!

After all, do we not appreciate our SFI Badges as we progress onwards

I think your using the word "bride" is not doing justice to yourself! Rather refer to it as an incentive. Since the literal meaning of incentive is a thing that motivates or encourages someone to do something, which i suppose is what you are aiming at on SFI.

Back to your questions:
1. there is no problem in encouraging your team to work hard and compete for prizes from you their team leader. it might work very well but not all the time, but i bet you it will definite work

Hello Ian:

The word "Bribe" itself gives the impression of something NOT good to do. Duplication is a better concept. It implies helping those who need it (which is often every one down line from you. Bribery is what polititians use to win votes--generally with OPM (other people's money.)

With SFI, money can be looked upon as a wise investment. Helping the receiver of the gift helps the giver likewise. Financial prowess can certainly fertilize rapid growth in income
