Your question is good , regardless of similar questions but always-date.

Students are an excellent target group because they are always in in large environments, from different areas, have a lot of friends ,close to social networks, they are social and communicative, like new things , always need money for something ...etc.

Hello Figueora,
The method that will work in getting college students to join the sfi is the word of mouth and the testimonial method.
College students are inquisitive by nature and may want face to face meeting(class and teacher format) to respond to you and asking all the questions about the business before making up their minds.

Most of these students are in college as result of loans obtained from government or agencies and as such will be delighted to have and run a business

Putting up Flyers, in college, and University boards, are one way.

Another way, will be to get a group to a meeting where you discuss in broad lines, what they can achieve, not only to supply their income, but also as a way to be financial independent later in life

I would also say that what they learn about marketing, will be a good tool, to apply not only in SFI, but in their life in general, and who knows, might even help them with their studies

In working in the university and college markets, its best to put yourself in their shoes and offer things and ways to market to them that they can relate to. I would focus on finding those students who are teachable and who are honestly looking for an opportunity to improve their situation. Not all students come from a privileged background, not all students have parents who pay all their bills. You will find lots of interested candidates but it will take time to find those who want to invest

Students have great potential. They are always willing to try something new are all very adept with computers, even if it is a possibility that they could have their own sources of income, for them it is a real attraction. Quickly learn and no im not hard. Throughout the world, young people mostly speak English, so that the language barrier does not exist for them.

As college students are always looking at new avenues.....any advertisement board amidst the campus would be a great start. The process of placing flyers at a college campus is to first get the flyer approved. One sure location to begin would be the careers service office as they are always inviting to new income opportunities for students. Hopefully you live near a college. Every college I have every had contact has a place where you can put up 3x5 cards up. Each board has it's own rules. Be sure to follow the rules when putting up an ad on your card.

This will reach a segment of the college students who are looking for things...

So all you need is an ad that fits the place where things are allowed. Don't put it in the Books or Housing section, as the monitors will take it down if you do. Put it in the misc

1. posters
2.flyers
3. face-to-face with a few prospects which you will try and recruit as affiliates and support them so they in turn get you a large number of their schoolmates on board
4. you can also offer the gift-cards to encourage them to start-up. You know being on SFI and determination to succeed can be addictive! once you start you just cant stop.....

There are many methods to attract Students to your site...... 1) visit an online college blog site to promote your Business. 2) Personally visit ( if near you )... a Cafe' where college student hang out between their classes and pass out either a GC or Business card with updated information,is, member # and site info. 3) Talk to friend,neighbors and family members who have children in College and the list goes on yet this is gr8 for starters.
