I have watched the answers to this question for several days and thought about it.

Each of us came into this world knowing how to do only a few things. Everything else is an acquired skill. If you can identify an area that you are lacking in, then there is room for improvement. As a youth, I had problems expressing myself, so an enlightened guidance counselor insisted that I take a debate class in addition to the class that his underling refused to let me take and my incoherent rage landed me in front of him when she finally gave up. Debate taught me the skills to express myself and led me to awards for public speaking that I proudly display.

Your situation is not unique. There are many resources in the library about sales and the ToastMasters organization comes to mind. Most of all, recognize and overcome whatever fear is stopping you from going up to complete strangers and making a total fool our of yourself. If you fail, what have you lost? Nothing, other than one person thinking that you are crazy. If you succeed, you have gained a friend that will support and help you. I think that it is worth the effort, provided that your self image comes from within.

Keep your eyes open and keep a notebook or electronic notepad open. When you see something that catches your eye, write it down or copy and paste it into the notepad. In this way you will harvest many ideas that can be worked into your newsletter. Each day, go over the ideas you have captured and decide which are worthy of a newsletter and which need more substance before they can be used and which are not worthy. By this action you will build a list of newsletter topics that will serve you for many weeks to come.

The New Member Pack is presented to new members by the system quite effectively. So to boost and grow your business, you need to get it in front of more people. This suggests that advertising or purchasing PSA's is the most effective way to utilize this resource. Personal advertising or S-Bulder shares or any o the ECA's that sell PSA's can be used. Which you choose will depend on your time availabilty and your disposable funds. Myself, I buy from RubiPress and bid on auctions to take advantage of the PSA per 50 bids. I have more money than time, so I am purchasing PSA's looking for the diamond among the rocks.

Every SFI Affiliate is automatically a TripleClicks Member. By sponsoring Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSA) you automatically get a TC member. If you concentrate on TripleClicks the reverse is not true. I feel it is better to get PSA's. They help build up your business if they catch the vision. If not, and they buy from TripleClicks, you have lost nothing.

It is possible to be successful in SFI without investing any money, but you will have to find some people with money to make this possible.

You can qualify as an EA your first month, and possibly your second month without any investment. If you can find some PSA's in that first month, or later, who purchase 1500 VP worth of products at TripleClicks, you will make about $8 in direct commissions. The money needed to purchase a 1500 Standing order is $36.25 a month, so if you have 9 PSAs who are purchasing the 1500 VP T-Credit pack, you can use the commissions to purchase your own and assure yourself of EA status each month. At that point, you will have 1500 VP + 900 VP from the 9 EA2 in your downline or 2400 VP a month coming in, which, when coupled with your daily tasks would qualify you as a BTL giving you VP matching and Second Home CSA. CSA's can also give you commissions, which helps things along.

The trick, then, is to recruit 9 active PSA with the money to purchase a 1500 VP pruchase which will give you the direct commissions to parlay into your own purchase every month.

I counsel my people to set aside $40 a month for 4 years. That allows them to qualify as an EA each month, and find PSA's who will also invest $40 a month for 4 years. By purchasing T-Credits and bidding on double MRP auctions, they may win stuff and will earn PSAs. They can use the MRP to purchase PSA's from one of the ECA's who sells them and thus grow thier buisness slowly but surely.

The SFI forums are visited by affiliates only, so there is no way to get any PSA there. If you do not totally understand the SFI system, there might be someone who can explain it to you in your own mother tongue. This will help you to build your business. Also, you can be sure you fully understand a concept only when you can teach that concept to another. You can do this by being a resource to your language mates in the forum. Networking amongst your fellow SFI affiliates is a way of gaining insights into what is working for others that you could implement for yourself.

When it comes right down to it, the stuff you will learn from seeing the questions of others and answering others questions makes participation worthwhile. Anything that can help you duplicate and gain 5 active EA2 directly below you is a worthwhile activity.

There are two ways to verify that emails are getting through that come to mind.

1.) Automated email Return Receipt.
a) Create a database in your email client outside of the SFI system.
b) Send the email with a return receipt requested tag attached.
c) When the email is opened, their email client will prompt them to authorize the sending of a return email to you which confirms that the email was opened.
d) If they allow it, an email will come to you that confirms receipt.

2.) Pose a question and ask them to respond.

These are the only ways that I am aware of to be sure that the messages are getting through.

This is an easy answer, but a very difficult one at the same time. One can attain EA2 status and get a huge downline via purchasing PSA's from one of the several Vendors on TripleClicks. If you throw enough money at it, you could have EA2 and a HUGE downline.

The problem then comes in motivating those downline members to learn and become EA2's themselves. Each EA2 in your downline gives you 100 VP that will propel you towards Bronze Team Leader. The question then becomes how many of the purchased PSA will see the value of SFI on thier own and work the plan without any support from their sponsor? You as his sponsor can see them in the genealogy page, and your stream posts will flow down to them. If you are willing to put in the work to develop his PSAs, and you are qualifying as a BTL each month so that you get matching VP, but not Direct Commissions. All the Direct Commissions would go to the Sponsor.

I would call this sponsor a deadbeat sponsor. If you are willing to take up the slack and give him/her the commissions on purchases their downline gives in exchange for the VP that you will get, and the commissions you will get from their purchases, 40% of the Commissionable Volume whatever they are spending could be a good amount of money, then you might be able to make it work. I am finding that each EA2 generates about $8 a month to me. This person would return more due to the PSA purchases. In my estimation, this person will have to spend enough to get several hundred PSAs a month in order to find enough active PSA to build a business that will recover his investment down the road.

The question then morphs into what you are willing to do? If this person is willing to purchase several hundred PSAs every month, you will get some Direct Commissions. Adding all his recruits into the support stream that you do for your own recruits will be a bit more work for you, if you are dedicated to building your own business. Is that something that you would be willing to do? Since you are not in the stream of emails about new PSA's going to him, you are going to have to get good at the genealogy reporting screens so that you can send welcome messages to the new recruits. You would also want to work closely with him so that the automatic emails that his account sends out give your contact information.

I think that it can be made to work, if you are willing to take up the slack for this deadbeat sponsor. What is important is that there is someone in the upline that is willing to help the new member. If this person is willing to generate a few hundred new PSA each month, you should be able to find a few good prospects, and that helps your business too.

As you build a business here at SFI, you will spend time learning about online advertising and the network marketing concept. This will enable you to advertise anything effectively.

As you purchase a standing order, you will be able to participate in Pricebenders auctions and purchase things you need. You can also purchase shares in Co-ops or flat out purchase a number of PSA's.

As you motivate your PSA's to build their own business, you will advance in rank and get matching VP. The purchases of your PSA's and CSA's will give you income. When the income exceeds the out go, you will have reached a good place. In the Brick and Mortar world, the conventional wisdom is that this point will be reached in 5 years. Look at your uplines, I am willing to bet that many of the PTl have been with SFI for less than 3 years.

I firmly believe that if you will give SFI 3 years of your time and money - a hefty investment, you will build a business that will give you a check that will be very welcome in your retirement years and which will keep on coming...

Hopefully you live near a college. Every college I have every had contact has a place where you can put up 3x5 cards up. Each board has it's own rules. Be sure to follow the rules when putting up an ad on your card.

This will reach a segment of the college students who are looking for things...

So all you need is an ad that fits the place where things are allowed. Don't put it in the Books or Housing section, as the monitors will take it down if you do. Put it in the misc or income section.
